Matthew 20:1For the kingdom of heaven is like to a man that is a householder, who went out early in the morning to hire laborers into his vineyard."For the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who was the master of a household, who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.The kingdom of heaven is like to an householder, who went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.
Matthew 20:2And when he had agreed with the laborers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.When he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.And having agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
Matthew 20:3And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the market-place,He went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace.And going about the third hour, he saw others standing in the market place idle.
Matthew 20:4And said to them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatever is right, I will give you. And they departed.To them he said, 'You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you.' So they went their way.And he said to them: Go you also into my vineyard, and I will give you what shall be just.
Matthew 20:5Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did likewise.And they went their way. And again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did in like manner.
Matthew 20:6And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith to them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?About the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle. He said to them, 'Why do you stand here all day idle?'But about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing, and he saith to them: Why stand you here all the day idle?
Matthew 20:7They say to him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith to them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatever is right, that shall ye receive.They said to him, 'Because no one has hired us.' He said to them, 'You also go into the vineyard, and you will receive whatever is right.'They say to him: Because no man hath hired us. He saith to them: Go you also into my vineyard.
Matthew 20:8So when evening was come, the lord of the vineyard saith to his steward, Call the laborers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last to the first.When evening had come, the lord of the vineyard said to his steward, 'Call the laborers and pay them their hire, beginning from the last to the first.'And when evening was come, the lord of the vineyard saith to his steward: Call the labourers and pay them their hire, beginning from the last even to the first.
Matthew 20:9And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.When they who were hired at about the eleventh hour came, they each received a denarius.When therefore they were come, that came about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.
Matthew 20:10But when the first came, they supposed that they should receive more; and they likewise received every man a penny.When the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise each received a denarius.But when the first also came, they thought that they should receive more: and they also received every man a penny.
Matthew 20:11And when they had received it, they murmured against the master of the house.When they received it, they murmured against the master of the household,And receiving it they murmured against the master of the house,
Matthew 20:12Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal to us, who have borne the burden and heat of the day.saying, 'These last have spent one hour, and you have made them equal to us, who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat!'Saying: These last have worked but one hour, and thou hast made them equal to us, that have borne the burden of the day and the heats.
Matthew 20:13But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst thou not agree with me for a penny?But he answered one of them, 'Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Didn't you agree with me for a denarius?But he answering said to one of them: Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst thou not agree with me for a penny?
Matthew 20:14Take that which is thine, and depart: I will give to this last, even as to thee.Take that which is yours, and go your way. It is my will to give to this last just as much as to you.Take what is thine, and go thy way: I will also give to this last even as to thee.
Matthew 20:15Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with my own? is thy eye evil because I am good?Isn't it lawful for me to do what I want to with what I own? Or is your eye evil, because I am good?'Or, is it not lawful for me to do what I will? is thy eye evil, because I am good?
Matthew 20:16So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many are called, but few chosen.So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few are chosen."So shall the last be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen.

Matthew 20:18Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man will be betrayed to the chief priests, and to the scribes, and they will condemn him to death,"Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death,Behold we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man shall be betrayed to the chief priests and the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death.
Matthew 20:19And will deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he will rise again.and will hand him over to the Gentiles to mock, to scourge, and to crucify; and the third day he will be raised up."And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to be mocked, and scourged, and crucified, and the third day he shall rise again.
Matthew 20:20Then came to him the mother of Zebedee's children, with her sons, worshiping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.Then came to him the mother of the sons of Zebedee with her sons, kneeling and asking a certain thing of him.Then came to him the mother of the sons of Zebedee with her sons, adoring and asking something of him.
Matthew 20:21And he said to her, What wilt thou: She saith to him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left in thy kingdom.He said to her, "What do you want?" She said to him, "Command that these, my two sons, may sit, one on your right hand, and one on your left hand, in your kingdom."Who said to her: What wilt thou? She saith to him: Say that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left, in thy kingdom.
Matthew 20:22But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say to him, We are able.But Jesus answered, "You don't know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?" They said to him, "We are able."And Jesus answering, said: You know not what you ask. Can you drink the chalice that I shall drink? They say to him: We can.
Matthew 20:23And he saith to them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared by my Father.He said to them, "You will indeed drink my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with, but to sit on my right hand, and on my left hand, is not mine to give; but it is for whom it has been prepared by my Father."He saith to them: My chalice indeed you shall drink; but to sit on my right or left hand, is not mine to give to you, but to them for whom it is prepared by my Father.
Matthew 20:24And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.When the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation concerning the two brothers.And the ten hearing it, were moved with indignation against the two brethren.
Matthew 20:25But Jesus called them to him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.But Jesus called them to him, and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.But Jesus called them to him, and said: You know that the princes of the Gentiles lord it over them; and they that are the greater, exercise power upon them.
Matthew 20:26But it shall not be so among you: but whoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;It shall not be so among you, but whoever would become great among you will be your servant.It shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be the greater among you, let him be your minister:
Matthew 20:27And whoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:Whoever would be first among you will be your bondservant,And he that will be first among you, shall be your servant.
Matthew 20:28Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.even as the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."Even as the Son of man is not come to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a redemption for many.

Matthew 20:30And behold, two blind men sitting by the way-side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.Behold, two blind men sitting by the road, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, "Lord, have mercy on us, you son of David!"And behold two blind men sitting by the way side, heard that Jesus passed by, and they cried out, saying: O Lord, thou son of David, have mercy on us.
Matthew 20:31And the multitude rebuked them, that they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.The multitude rebuked them, telling them that they should be quiet, but they cried out even more, "Lord, have mercy on us, you son of David!"And the multitude rebuked them that they should hold their peace. But they cried out the more, saying: O Lord, thou son of David, have mercy on us.
Matthew 20:32And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do to you?Jesus stood still, and called them, and asked, "What do you want me to do for you?"And Jesus stood, and called them, and said: What will ye that I do to you?
Matthew 20:33They say to him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.They told him, "Lord, that our eyes may be opened."They say to him: Lord, that our eyes be opened.
Matthew 20:34So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.Jesus, being moved with compassion, touched their eyes; and immediately their eyes received their sight, and they followed him.And Jesus having compassion on them, touched their eyes.
