Matthew 7:1Judge not, that ye be not judged."Don't judge, so that you won't be judged."Judge not, that you may not be judged;
Matthew 7:2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and the measure which ye give, shall be measured to you again.For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged: and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.for your own judgement will be dealt and your own measure meted to yourselves.
Matthew 7:3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thy own eye?Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but don't consider the beam that is in your own eye?And why do you look at the splinter in your brother's eye, and not notice the beam which is in your own eye?
Matthew 7:4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thy eye; and behold, a beam is in thy own eye?Or how will you tell your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye;' and behold, the beam is in your own eye?Or how say to your brother, `Allow me to take the splinter out of your eye,' while the beam is in your own eye?
Matthew 7:5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thy own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye.Hypocrite, first take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly how to remove the splinter from your brother's eye.
Matthew 7:6Give not that which is holy to dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you."Don't give that which is holy to the dogs, neither cast your pearls before the pigs, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces."Give not that which is holy to the dogs, nor throw your pearls to the swine; otherwise they will trample them under their feet and then turn and attack you.
Matthew 7:7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and the door shall be opened to you:"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you."Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
Matthew 7:8For every one that asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh, findeth; and to him that knocketh, the door shall be opened.For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.For it is always he who asks that receives, he who seeks that finds, and he who knocks that has the door opened to him.
Matthew 7:9Or what man is there of you, who, if his son shall ask bread, will give him a stone?Or what man is there of you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?What man is there among you, who if his son shall ask him for bread will offer him a stone?
Matthew 7:10Or if he shall ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent?Or if the son shall ask him for a fish will offer him a snake?
Matthew 7:11If ye then being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!If you then, imperfect as you are, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
Matthew 7:12Therefore all things whatever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.Everything, therefore, be it what it may, that you would have men do to you, do you also the same to them; for in this the Law and the Prophets are summed up.
Matthew 7:13Enter ye in at the strait gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there are who go in by it.Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it."Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad the road which leads to ruin, and many there are who enter by it;
Matthew 7:14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth to life, and few there are that find it.How narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it.because narrow is the gate and contracted the road which leads to Life, and few are those who find it.
Matthew 7:15Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves."Beware of the false teachers men who come to you in sheep's fleeces, but beneath that disguise they are ravenous wolves.
Matthew 7:16Ye shall know them by their fruits: Do men gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles:By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?By their fruits you will easily recognize them. Are grapes gathered from thorns or figs from brambles?
Matthew 7:17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.Even so, every good tree brings forth good fruit; but the corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit.Just so every good tree produces good fruit, but a poisonous tree produces bad fruit.
Matthew 7:18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.A good tree can't bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor a poisonous tree good fruit.
Matthew 7:19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.Every tree that doesn't grow good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire.Every tree which does not yield good fruit is cut down and thrown aside for burning.
Matthew 7:20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them,Therefore, by their fruits you will know them.So by their fruits at any rate, you will easily recognize them.
Matthew 7:21Not every one that saith to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."Not every one who says to me, `Master, Master,' will enter the Kingdom of the Heavens, but only those who are obedient to my Father who is in Heaven.
Matthew 7:22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out demons? and in thy name done many wonderful works?Many will tell me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy by your name, by your name cast out demons, and by your name do many mighty works?'Many will say to me on that day, "`Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Thy name, and in Thy name expelled demons, and in Thy name performed many mighty works?'
Matthew 7:23And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.Then I will tell them, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.'"And then I will tell them plainly, "`I never knew you: begone from me, you doers of wickedness.'
Matthew 7:24Therefore whoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house upon a rock:"Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock."Every one who hears these my teachings and acts upon them will be found to resemble a wise man who builds his house upon rock;
Matthew 7:25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn't fall, for it was founded on the rock.and the heavy rain falls, the swollen torrents come, and the winds blow and beat against the house; yet it does not fall, for its foundation is on rock.
Matthew 7:26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand:Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn't do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand.And every one who hears these my teachings and does not act upon them will be found to resemble a fool who builds his house upon sand.
Matthew 7:27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell, and great was the fall of it.The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell and great was its fall."The heavy rain descends, the swollen torrents come, and the winds blow and burst upon the house, and it falls; and disastrous is the fall."
Matthew 7:28And it came to pass when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine.It happened, when Jesus had finished saying these things, that the multitudes were astonished at his teaching,When Jesus had concluded this discourse, the crowds were filled with amazement at His teaching,
Matthew 7:29For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.for he taught them with authority, and not like the scribes.for He had been teaching them as one who had authority, and not as their Scribes taught.
