Matthew 24:1And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple.And having gone forth, Jesus departed from the temple, and his disciples came near to show him the buildings of the temple,And Jesus went out of the Temple, and on the way his disciples came to him, pointing out the buildings of the Temple.
Matthew 24:2And Jesus said to them, See ye not all these things? verily I say to you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.and Jesus said to them, `Do ye not see all these? verily I say to you, There may not be left here a stone upon a stone, that shall not be thrown down.`But he, answering, said to them, See you not all these things? truly I say to you that here there will not be one stone resting on another, which will not be pulled down.
Matthew 24:3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when will these things be? and what will be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?And when he is sitting on the mount of the Olives, the disciples came near to him by himself, saying, `Tell us, when shall these be? and what [is] the sign of thy presence, and of the full end of the age?`And while he was seated on the Mountain of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, Make clear to us, when will these things be? and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the world?
Matthew 24:4And Jesus answered and said to them, Take heed that no man deceive you.And Jesus answering said to them, `Take heed that no one may lead you astray,And Jesus said to them in answer, Take care that you are not tricked.
Matthew 24:5For many will come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and will deceive many.for many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and they shall lead many astray,For people will come in my name, saying, I am the Christ; and a number will be turned from the true way through them.
Matthew 24:6And ye will hear of wars, and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.and ye shall begin to hear of wars, and reports of wars; see, be not troubled, for it behoveth all [these] to come to pass, but the end is not yet.And news will come to you of wars and talk of wars: do not be troubled, for these things have to be; but it is still not the end.
Matthew 24:7For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there will be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places.`For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places;For nation will be moved against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and men will be without food, and the earth will be shaking in different places;
Matthew 24:8All these are the beginning of sorrows.and all these [are] the beginning of sorrows;But all these things are the first of the troubles.
Matthew 24:9Then will they deliver you up to be afflicted, and will kill you: and ye will be hated by all nations for my name's sake.then they shall deliver you up to tribulation, and shall kill you, and ye shall be hated by all the nations because of my name;Then they will be cruel to you, and will put you to death: and you will be hated by all nations because of my name.
Matthew 24:10And then will many be offended, and will betray one another, and will hate one another.and then shall many be stumbled, and they shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another.And numbers of people will be turned from the right way, and will give one another up and have hate for one another.
Matthew 24:11And many false prophets will rise, and will deceive many.`And many false prophets shall arise, and shall lead many astray;And a number of false prophets will come, causing error.
Matthew 24:12And because iniquity will abound, the love of many will become cold.and because of the abounding of the lawlessness, the love of the many shall become cold;And because wrongdoing will be increased, the love of most people will become cold.
Matthew 24:13But he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved.but he who did endure to the end, he shall be saved;But he who goes through to the end will get salvation.
Matthew 24:14And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world, for a testimony to all nations; and then shall the end come.and this good news of the reign shall be proclaimed in all the world, for a testimony to all the nations; and then shall the end arrive.And this good news of the kingdom will be given through all the world for a witness to all nations; and then the end will come.
Matthew 24:15When therefore ye shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoever readeth, let him understand,)`Whenever, therefore, ye may see the abomination of the desolation, that was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoever is reading let him observe)When, then, you see in the holy place the unclean thing which makes destruction, of which word was given by Daniel the prophet (let this be clear to the reader),
Matthew 24:16Then let them who are in Judea flee to the mountains:then those in Judea let them flee to the mounts;Then let those who are in Judaea go in flight to the mountains:
Matthew 24:17Let him who is on the house-top not come down to take any thing out of his house:he on the house-top let him not come down to take up any thing out of his house;Let not him who is on the house-top go down to take anything out of his house:
Matthew 24:18Neither let him who is in the field return back to take his clothes.and he in the field let him not turn back to take his garments.And let not him who is in the field go back to get his coat.
Matthew 24:19And woe to them that are with child, and to them that nurse infants in those days!`And wo to those with child, and to those giving suck in those days;But it will be hard for women who are with child and for those with babies at the breast in those days.
Matthew 24:20But pray ye that your flight may not be in the winter, neither on the sabbath:and pray ye that your flight may not be in winter, nor on a sabbath;And say a prayer that your flight may not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath.
Matthew 24:21For then shall be great tribulation, such as hath not been since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.for there shall be then great tribulation, such as was not from the beginning of the world till now, no, nor may be.Because in those days there will be great sorrow, such as there has not been from the start of the world till now, or ever will be.
Matthew 24:22And except those days should be shortened, there would no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would have been saved; but because of the chosen, shall those days be shortened.And if those days had not been made short there would have been no salvation for any, but because of the saints those days will be made short.
Matthew 24:23Then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.`Then if any one may say to you, Lo, here [is] the Christ! or here! ye may not believe;Then if any man says to you, See, here is the Christ, or, Here; do not put faith in him;
Matthew 24:24For false Christs will arise, and false prophets, and will show great signs and wonders; so that, if it were possible, they would deceive the very elect.for there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and they shall give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, also the chosen.For there will come up false Christs, and false prophets, who will do great signs and wonders; so that if possible even the saints might be tricked.
Matthew 24:25Behold, I have told you before.Lo, I did tell you beforehand.See, I have made it clear to you before it comes about.
Matthew 24:26Wherefore, if they shall say to you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.`If therefore they may say to you, Lo, in the wilderness he is, ye may not go forth; lo, in the inner chambers, ye may not believe;If, then, they say to you, See, he is in the waste land; go not out: See, he is in the inner rooms; put no faith in it.
Matthew 24:27For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even to the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.for as the lightning doth come forth from the east, and doth appear unto the west, so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man;Because as in a thunderstorm the bright light coming from the east is seen even in the west; so will be the coming of the Son of man.
Matthew 24:28For wherever the carcass is, there will the eagles be collected.for wherever the carcase may be, there shall the eagles be gathered together.Wherever the dead body is, there will the eagles come together.
Matthew 24:29Immediately after the tribulation of those days, shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:`And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken;But straight away, after the trouble of those days, the sun will be made dark and the moon will not give her light and the stars will come down from heaven and the powers of heaven will be moved:
Matthew 24:30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in the heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the earth smite the breast, and they shall see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of the heaven, with power and much glory;And then the sign of the Son of man will be seen in heaven: and then all the nations of the earth will have sorrow, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Matthew 24:31And he will send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.and he shall send his messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens unto the ends thereof.And he will send out his angels with a great sound of a horn, and they will get his saints together from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Matthew 24:32Now learn a parable of the fig-tree; When its branch is yet tender and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:`And from the fig-tree learn ye the simile: When already its branch may have become tender, and the leaves it may put forth, ye know that summer [is] nigh,Now take an example from the fig-tree: when her branch has become soft and puts out its leaves, you are certain that the summer is near;
Matthew 24:33So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.so also ye, when ye may see all these, ye know that it is nigh at the doors.Even so, when you see all these things, you may be certain that he is near, even at the doors.
Matthew 24:34Verily I say to you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things shall be fulfilled.Verily I say to you, this generation may not pass away till all these may come to pass.Truly I say to you, This generation will not come to an end till all these things are complete.
Matthew 24:35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.Heaven and earth will come to an end, but my words will not come to an end.
Matthew 24:36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.`And concerning that day and the hour no one hath known not even the messengers of the heavens except my Father only;But of that day and hour no one has knowledge, not even the angels in heaven, or the Son, but the Father only.
Matthew 24:37But as the days of Noah were, so will also the coming of the Son of man be.and as the days of Noah so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man;And as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man.
Matthew 24:38For as in the days that were before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,for as they were, in the days before the flood, eating, and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, till the day Noah entered into the ark,Because as in those days before the overflowing of the waters, they were feasting and taking wives and getting married, till the day when Noah went into the ark,
Matthew 24:39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away: so also will be the coming of the Son of man.and they did not know till the flood came and took all away; so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man.And they had no care till the waters came and took them all away; so will be the coming of the Son of man.
Matthew 24:40Then will two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.Then two men shall be in the field, the one is received, and the one is left;Then two men will be in the field; one is taken, and one let go;
Matthew 24:41Two women will be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.two women shall be grinding in the mill, one is received, and one is left.Two women will be crushing grain; one is taken, and one let go.
Matthew 24:42Watch therefore; for ye know not what hour your Lord cometh.`Watch ye therefore, because ye have not known in what hour your Lord doth come;Be watching, then! for you have no knowledge on what day your Lord will come.
Matthew 24:43But know this, that if the master of the house knew in what watch the thief would come, he would watch, and would not suffer his house to be broken up.and this know, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief doth come, he had watched, and not suffered his house to be broken through;But be certain of this, that if the master of the house had had knowledge of the time when the thief was coming, he would have been watching, and would not have let his house be broken into.
Matthew 24:44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not, the Son of man cometh.because of this also ye, become ye ready, because in what hour ye do not think, the Son of Man doth come.Be ready then; for at a time which you have no thought of the Son of man will come.
Matthew 24:45Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his Lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?`Who, then, is the servant, faithful and wise, whom his lord did set over his household, to give them the nourishment in season?Who is the true and wise servant, whom his lord has put over those in his house, to give them their food at the right time?
Matthew 24:46Blessed is that servant, whom his lord, when he cometh, shall find so doing.Happy that servant, whom his lord, having come, shall find doing so;A blessing on that servant, who will be doing so when his lord comes.
Matthew 24:47Verily I say to you, that he will make him ruler over all his goods.verily I say to you, that over all his substance he will set him.Truly, I say to you, he will put him over all he has.
Matthew 24:48But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My Lord delayeth his coming;`And, if that evil servant may say in his heart, My Lord doth delay to come,But if that evil servant says in his heart, My lord is a long time in coming;
Matthew 24:49And shall begin to beat his fellow-servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;and may begin to beat the fellow-servants, and to eat and to drink with the drunken,And is cruel to the other servants, taking his pleasure with those who are overcome with wine;
Matthew 24:50The Lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,the lord of that servant will arrive in a day when he doth not expect, and in an hour of which he doth not know,The lord of that servant will come in a day when he is not looking for him, and in an hour of which he has no knowledge,
Matthew 24:51And will cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.and will cut him off, and his portion with the hypocrites will appoint; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.And will have him cut in two, and will give him a part in the fate of the false ones: there will be weeping and cries of sorrow.
