John 7:1After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill him.And Jesus was walking after these things in Galilee, for he did not wish to walk in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill him,And after these things Jesus walked in Galilee, for he would not walk in Judaea, because the Jews sought to kill him.
John 7:2Now the Jews' feast of tabernacles was at hand.and the feast of the Jews was nigh that of tabernaclesNow the tabernacles, the feast of the Jews, was near.
John 7:3His brethren therefore said to him, Depart hence, and go into Judea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest.his brethren, therefore, said unto him, `Remove hence, and go away to Judea, that thy disciples also may behold thy works that thou dost;His brethren therefore said to him, Remove hence and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see thy works which thou doest;
John 7:4For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou doest these things, show thyself to the world.for no one in secret doth anything, and himself seeketh to be in public; if thou dost these things manifest thyself to the world;`for no one does anything in secret and himself seeks to be [known] in public. If thou doest these things, manifest thyself to the world:
John 7:5(For neither did his brethren believe in him.)for not even were his brethren believing in him.for neither did his brethren believe on him.
John 7:6Then Jesus said to them, My time is not yet come: but your time is always ready.Jesus, therefore, saith to them, `My time is not yet present, but your time is always ready;Jesus therefore says to them, My time is not yet come, but your time is always ready.
John 7:7The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify concerning it, that its works are evil.the world is not able to hate you, but me it doth hate, because I testify concerning it that its works are evil.The world cannot hate you, but me it hates, because I bear witness concerning it that its works are evil.
John 7:8Go ye up to this feast: I go not yet to this feast, for my time is not yet full come.Ye go ye up to this feast; I do not yet go up to this feast, because my time hath not yet been fulfilled;`Ye, go ye up to this feast. I go not up to this feast, for *my* time is not yet fulfilled.
John 7:9When he had said these words to them, he abode still in Galilee.and saying these things to them, he remained in Galilee.Having said these things to them he abode in Galilee.
John 7:10But when his brethren had gone up, then he went also to the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.And when his brethren went up, then also he himself went up to the feast, not manifestly, but as in secret;But when his brethren had gone up, then he himself also went up to the feast, not openly, but as in secret.
John 7:11Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?the Jews, therefore, were seeking him, in the feast, and said, `Where is that one?`The Jews therefore sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?
John 7:12And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, No; but he deceiveth the people.and there was much murmuring about him among the multitudes, some indeed said `He is good;` and others said, `No, but he leadeth astray the multitude;`And there was much murmuring concerning him among the crowds. Some said, He is [a] good [man]; others said, No; but he deceives the crowd.
John 7:13Yet, no man spoke openly of him, for fear of the Jews.no one, however, was speaking freely about him, through fear of the Jews.However, no one spoke openly concerning him on account of [their] fear of the Jews.
John 7:14Now about the midst of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.And it being now the middle of the feast, Jesus went up to the temple, and he was teaching,But when it was now the middle of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and taught.
John 7:15And the Jews marveled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?and the Jews were wondering, saying, `How hath this one known letters not having learned?`The Jews therefore wondered, saying, How knows this [man] letters, having never learned?
John 7:16Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.Jesus answered them and said, `My teaching is not mine, but His who sent me;Jesus therefore answered them and said, My doctrine is not mine, but [that] of him that has sent me.
John 7:17If any man will do his will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God, or whether I speak from myself.if any one may will to do His will, he shall know concerning the teaching, whether it is of God, or I do speak from myself.If any one desire to practise his will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is of God, or [that] I speak from myself.
John 7:18He that speaketh from himself, seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.`He who is speaking from himself his own glory doth seek, but he who is seeking the glory of him who sent him, this one is true, and unrighteousness is not in him;He that speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but he that seeks the glory of him that has sent him, he is true, and unrighteousness is not in him.
John 7:19Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?hath not Moses given you the law? and none of you doth the law; why me do ye seek to kill?`Has not Moses given you the law, and no one of you practises the law? Why do ye seek to kill me?
John 7:20The people answered and said, Thou hast a demon: who goeth about to kill thee?The multitude answered and said, `Thou hast a demon, who doth seek to kill thee?`The crowd answered [and said], Thou hast a demon: who seeks to kill thee?
John 7:21Jesus answered and said to them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel.Jesus answered and said to them, `One work I did, and ye all wonder,Jesus answered and said to them, I have done one work, and ye all wonder.
John 7:22Moses therefore gave to you circumcision, (not because it is from Moses, but from the fathers) and ye on the sabbath circumcise a man.because of this, Moses hath given you the circumcision not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers and on a sabbath ye circumcise a man;Therefore Moses gave you circumcision (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers), and ye circumcise a man on sabbath.
John 7:23If a man on the sabbath receiveth circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have restored a man to sound health on the sabbath?if a man doth receive circumcision on a sabbath that the law of Moses may not be broken, are ye wroth with me that I made a man all whole on a sabbath?If a man receives circumcision on sabbath, that the law of Moses may not be violated, are ye angry with me because I have made a man entirely sound on sabbath?
John 7:24Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.judge not according to appearance, but the righteous judgment judge.`Judge not according to sight, but judge righteous judgment.
John 7:25Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he whom they seek to kill?Certain, therefore, of the Jerusalemites said, `Is not this he whom they are seeking to kill?Some therefore of those of Jerusalem said, Is not this he whom they seek to kill?
John 7:26But lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing to him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?and, lo, he doth speak freely, and they say nothing to him; did the rulers at all know truly that this is truly the Christ?and behold, he speaks openly, and they say nothing to him. Have the rulers then indeed recognised that this is the Christ?
John 7:27But we know this man, whence he is: whereas when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.but this one we have known whence he is; and the Christ, when he doth come, no one doth know whence he is.`But [as to] this [man] we know whence he is. Now [as to] the Christ, when he comes, no one knows whence he is.
John 7:28Then cried Jesus in the temple, as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.Jesus cried, therefore, in the temple, teaching and saying, `Ye have both known me, and ye have known whence I am; and I have not come of myself, but He who sent me is true, whom ye have not known;Jesus therefore cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, Ye both know me and ye know whence I am; and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye do not know.
John 7:29But I know him; for I am from him, and he hath sent me.and I have known Him, because I am from Him, and He did send me.`I know him, because I am from him, and *he* has sent me.
John 7:30Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.They were seeking, therefore, to seize him, and no one laid the hand on him, because his hour had not yet come,They sought therefore to take him; and no one laid his hand upon him, because his hour had not yet come.
John 7:31And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?and many out of the multitude did believe in him, and said `The Christ when he may come will he do more signs than these that this one did?`But many of the crowd believed on him, and said, Will the Christ, when he comes, do more signs than those which this [man] has done?
John 7:32The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him: and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him.The Pharisees heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers that they may take him;The Pharisees heard the crowd murmuring these things concerning him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers that they might take him.
John 7:33Then said Jesus to them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go to him that sent me.Jesus, therefore, said to them, `Yet a little time I am with you, and I go away unto Him who sent me;Jesus therefore said, Yet a little while I am with you, and I go to him that has sent me.
John 7:34Ye will seek me, and will not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come.ye will seek me, and ye shall not find; and where I am, ye are not able to come.`Ye shall seek me and shall not find [me], and where I am ye cannot come.
John 7:35Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go to the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?The Jews, therefore, said among themselves, `Whither is this one about to go that we shall not find him? to the dispersion of the Greeks is he about to go? and to teach the Greeks;The Jews therefore said to one another, Where is he about to go that we shall not find him? Is he about to go to the dispersion among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?
John 7:36What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye will seek me, and will not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come?what is this word that he said, Ye will seek me, and ye shall not find? and, Where I am, ye are not able to come?`What word is this which he said, Ye shall seek me and shall not find [me]; and where I am ye cannot come?
John 7:37In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirsteth, let him come to me, and drink.And in the last, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, `If any one doth thirst, let him come unto me and drink;In the last, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried saying, If any one thirst, let him come to me and drink.
John 7:38He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.he who is believing in me, according as the Writing said, Rivers out of his belly shall flow of living water;`He that believes on me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
John 7:39(But this he spoke of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive, for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)and this he said of the Spirit, which those believing in him were about to receive; for not yet was the Holy Spirit, because Jesus was not yet glorified.But this he said concerning the Spirit, which they that believed on him were about to receive; for [the] Spirit was not yet, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.
John 7:40Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, In truth this is the Prophet.Many, therefore out of the multitude, having heard the word, said, `This is truly the Prophet;`[Some] out of the crowd therefore, having heard this word, said, This is truly the prophet.
John 7:41Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Will Christ come out of Galilee?others said, `This is the Christ;` and others said, `Why, out of Galilee doth the Christ come?Others said, This is the Christ. Others said, Does then the Christ come out of Galilee?
John 7:42Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh from the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?Did not the Writing say, that out of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem the village where David was the Christ doth come?`Has not the scripture said that the Christ comes of the seed of David, and from the village of Bethlehem, where David was?
John 7:43So there was a division among the people because of him.A division, therefore, arose among the multitude because of him.There was a division therefore in the crowd on account of him.
John 7:44And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him.And certain of them were willing to seize him, but no one laid hands on him;But some of them desired to take him, but no one laid hands upon him.
John 7:45Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said to them, Why have ye not brought him?the officers came, therefore, unto the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said to them, `Wherefore did ye not bring him?`The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said to them, Why have ye not brought him?
John 7:46The officers answered, Never man spoke like this man.The officers answered, `Never so spake man as this man.`The officers answered, Never man spoke thus, as this man [speaks].
John 7:47Then the Pharisees answered them, Are ye also deceived?The Pharisees, therefore, answered them, `Have ye also been led astray?The Pharisees therefore answered them, Are ye also deceived?
John 7:48Have any of the rulers, or of the Pharisees believed on him?did any one out of the rulers believe in him? or out of the Pharisees?Has any one of the rulers believed on him, or of the Pharisees?
John 7:49But this people who know not the law are cursed.but this multitude, that is not knowing the law, is accursed.`But this crowd, which does not know the law, are accursed.
John 7:50Nicodemus saith to them, (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them)Nicodemus saith unto them he who came by night unto him being one of them,Nicodemus says to them (being one of themselves),
John 7:51Doth our law judge any man before it heareth him, and knoweth what he doeth?`Doth our law judge the man, if it may not hear from him first, and know what he doth?`Does our law judge a man before it have first heard from himself, and know what he does?
John 7:52They answered and said to him, Art thou also from Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet.They answered and said to him, `Art thou also out of Galilee? search and see, that a prophet out of Galilee hath not risen;`They answered and said to him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search and look, that no prophet arises out of Galilee.
John 7:53And every man went to his own house.and each one went on to his house, but Jesus went on to the mount of the Olives.And every one went to his home.
