| John 3:1 | Now there was one of the Pharisees whose name was Nicodemus a ruler among the Jews. | Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: | Now there was among the Pharisees a man named Nicodemus, who was one of the rulers of the Jews. |
| John 3:2 | He came to Jesus by night and said, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher from God; for no one can do these miracles which you are doing, unless God is with him. | the same came unto him by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that thou doest, except God be with him. | He came to Jesus by night and said to him, Rabbi, we are certain that you have come from God as a teacher, because no man would be able to do these signs which you do if God was not with him. |

| John 3:21 | But he who does what is honest and right comes to the light, in order that his actions may be plainly shown to have been done in God. | But he that doeth the truth cometh to the light, that his works may be made manifest, that they have been wrought in God. | But he whose life is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his acts have been done by the help of God. |
