Matthew 8:2 | And a leper came to Him, and throwing himself at His feet, said, "Sir, if only you are willing you are able to cleanse me." | And a leper came and gave him worship, saying, Lord, if it is your pleasure, you have power to make me clean. | And behold a leper came and adored him, saying: Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. |
Matthew 8:3 | So Jesus put out His hand and touched him, and said, "I am willing: be cleansed." Instantly he was cleansed from his leprosy; | And he put his hand on him, saying, It is my pleasure; be clean. Matthew 8:9 | For I myself am also under authority, and have soldiers under me. To one I say `Go,' and he goes, to another `Come,' and he comes, and to my slave `Do this or that,' and he does it." | Because I myself am a man under authority, having under me fighting men; and I say to this one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it. | For I also am a man subject to authority, having under me soldiers; and I say to this, Go, and he goeth, and to another, Come, and he cometh, and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. |
Matthew 8:10 | Jesus listened to this reply, and was astonished, and said to the people following Him, "I solemnly tell you that in no Israelite have I found faith as great as this. | And when these words came to the ears of Jesus he was surprised, and said to those who came after him, Truly I say to you, I have not seen such great faith, no, not in Israel. | And Jesus hearing this, marvelled; and said to them that followed him: Amen I say to you, I have not found so great faith in Israel. |
Matthew 8:11 | And I tell you that many will come from the east and from the west and will recline at table with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the Kingdom of the Heavens, | And I say to you that numbers will come from the east and the west, and will take their seats with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven: | And I say to you that many shall come from the east and the west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven: |
Matthew 8:12 | while the natural heirs of the Kingdom will be driven out into the darkness outside: there will be the weeping aloud and the gnashing of teeth." | But the sons of the kingdom will be put out into the dark, and there will be weeping and cries of pain. | But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into the exterior darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. |
Matthew 8:13 | And Jesus said to the Captain, "Go, and just as you have believed, so be it for you." And the servant recovered precisely at that time. | And Jesus said to the captain, Go in peace; as your faith is, so let it be done to you. And the servant was made well in that hour. | And Jesus said to the centurion: Go, and as thou hast believed, so be it done to thee. And the servant was healed at the same hour. |

Matthew 8:22 | "Follow me," said Jesus, "and leave the dead to bury their own dead." | But Jesus said to him, Come after me; and let the dead take care of their dead. | But Jesus said to him: Follow me, and let the dead bury their dead. |
Matthew 8:23 | Then He went on board a fishing-boat, and His disciples followed Him. | And when he had got into a boat, his disciples went after him. | And when he entered into the boat, his disciples followed him: |
Matthew 8:24 | But suddenly there arose a great storm on the Lake, so that the waves threatened to engulf the boat; but He was asleep. | And there came up a great storm in the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves: but he was sleeping. | And behold a great tempest arose in the sea, so that the boat was covered with waves, but he was asleep. |
Matthew 8:25 | So they came and woke Him, crying, "Master, save us, we are drowning!" | And they came to him, and, awaking him, said, Help, Lord; destruction is near. | And they came to him, and awaked him, saying: Lord, save us, we perish. |
Matthew 8:26 | "Why are you so easily frightened," He replied, "you men of little faith?" Then He rose and reproved the winds and the waves, and there was a perfect calm; | And he said to them, Why are you full of fear, O you of little faith? Then he got up and gave orders to the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. | And Jesus saith to them: Why are you fearful, O ye of little faith? Then rising up he commanded the winds, and the sea, and there came a great calm. |
Matthew 8:27 | and the men, filled with amazement, exclaimed, "What kind of man is this? for the very winds and waves obey him!" | And the men were full of wonder, saying, What sort of man is this, that even the winds and the sea do his orders? | But the men wondered, saying: What manner of man is this, for the winds and the sea obey him? |
Matthew 8:28 | On His arrival at the other side, in the country of the Gadarenes, there met Him two men possessed by demons, coming from among the tombs: they were so dangerously fierce that no one was able to pass that way. | And when he had come to the other side, to the country of the Gadarenes, there came out to him from the place of the dead, two who had evil spirits, so violent that no man was able to go that way. | And when he was come on the other side of the water, into the country of the Gerasens, there met him two that were possessed with devils, coming out of the sepulchres, exceeding fierce, so that none could pass by that way. |
Matthew 8:29 | They cried aloud, "What hast Thou to do with us, Thou Son of God? Hast Thou come here to torment us before the time?" | And they gave a loud cry, saying, What have we to do with you, you Son of God? Have you come here to give us punishment before the time? | And behold they cried out, saying: What have we to do with thee, Jesus Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time? |
Matthew 8:30 | Now at some distance from them a vast herd of swine were feeding. | Now there was, some distance away, a great herd of pigs taking their food. | And there was, not far from them, an herd of many swine feeding. |

"If Thou drivest us out," they said, "send us into the herd of swine." | And the evil spirits made strong prayers to him, saying, If you send us out, let us go into the herd of pigs. | And the devils besought him, saying: If thou cast us out hence, send us into the herd of swine. |
Matthew 8:32 | "Go," He replied. Then they came out from the men and went into the swine, whereupon the entire herd instantly rushed down the cliff into the Lake and perished in the water. | And he said to them, Go. And they came out, and went into the pigs; and the herd went rushing down a sharp slope into the sea and came to their end in the water. | And he said to them: Go. But they going out went into the swine, and behold the whole herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea: and they perished in the waters. |
Matthew 8:33 | The swineherds fled, and went and told the whole story in the town, including what had happened to the demoniacs. | And their keepers went in flight to the town and gave an account of everything, and of the men who had the evil spirits. | And they that kept them fled: and coming into the city, told every thing, and concerning them that had been possessed by the devils. |
