Philippians 4:1Therefore, my brethren, dearly loved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand firm in the Lord, my dearly-loved ones.So my brothers, well loved and very dear to me, my joy and crown, be strong in the Lord, my loved ones. Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.
Philippians 4:2I entreat Euodia, and I entreat Syntyche, to be of one mind, as sisters in Christ.I make request to Euodias and Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord.I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.
Philippians 4:3Yes, and I beg you also, my faithful yoke-fellow, to help these women who have shared my toil in connection with the Good News, together with Clement and the rest of my fellow labourers, whose names are recorded in the Book of Life. And I make request to you, true helper in my work, to see to the needs of those women who took part with me in the good news, with Clement and the rest of my brother-workers whose names are in the book of life. And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
Philippians 4:4Always be glad in the Lord: I will repeat it, be glad.Be glad in the Lord at all times: again I say, Be glad.Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Philippians 4:5Let your forbearing spirit be known to every one the Lord is near.Let your gentle behaviour be clear to all men. The Lord is near.Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Philippians 4:6Do not be over-anxious about anything, but by prayer and earnest pleading, together with thanksgiving, let your request be unreservedly made known in the presence of God.Have no cares; but in everything with prayer and praise put your requests before God.Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:7And then the peace of God, which transcends all our powers of thought, will be a garrison to guard your hearts and minds in union with Christ Jesus. And the peace of God, which is deeper than all knowledge, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:8Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever wins respect, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovable, whatever is of good repute if there is any virtue or anything deemed worthy of praise cherish the thought of these things. For the rest, my brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things have honour, whatever things are upright, whatever things are holy, whatever things are beautiful, whatever things are of value, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, give thought to these things. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philippians 4:9The doctrines and the line of conduct which I taught you both what you heard and what you saw in me hold fast to them; and God who gives peace will be with you.The things which came to you by my teaching and preaching, and which you saw in me, these things do, and the God of peace will be with you. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
Philippians 4:10But I rejoice with a deep and holy joy that now at length you have revived your thoughtfulness for my welfare. Indeed you have always been thoughtful for me, although opportunity failed you.But I am very glad in the Lord that your care for me has come to life again; though you did in fact take thought for me, but you were not able to give effect to it.But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
Philippians 4:11I do not refer to this through fear of privation, for (for my part) I have learned, whatever be my outward experiences, to be content. But I will not say anything about my needs, for I am able, wherever I am, to be dependent on myself. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
Philippians 4:12I know both how to live in humble circumstances and how to live amid abundance. I am fully initiated into all the mysteries both of fulness and of hunger, of abundance and of want.It is the same to me if I am looked down on or honoured; everywhere and in all things I have the secret of how to be full and how to go without food; how to have wealth and how to be in need.I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
Philippians 4:13I have strength for anything through Him who gives me power.I am able to do all things through him who gives me strength.I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:14Yet I thank you for taking your share in my troubles. But you did well to have care for me in my need.Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.
Philippians 4:15And you men and women of Philippi also know that at the first preaching of the Good News, when I had left Macedonia, no other Church except yourselves held communication with me about giving and receiving; And you have knowledge, Philippians, that when the good news first came to you, when I went away from Macedonia, no church took part with me in the business of giving to the saints, but you only; Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
Philippians 4:16because even in Thessalonica you sent several times to minister to my needs.Because even in Thessalonica you sent once and again to me in my need. For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
Philippians 4:17Not that I crave for gifts from you, but I do want to see abundant fruit bring you honour. Not that I am looking for an offering, but for fruit which may be put to your credit. Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
Philippians 4:18I have enough of everything and more than enough. My wants are fully satisfied now that I have received from the hands of Epaphroditus the generous gifts which you sent me they are a fragrant odor, an acceptable sacrifice, truly pleasing to God.I have all things and more than enough: I am made full, having had from Epaphroditus the things which came from you, a perfume of a sweet smell, an offering well pleasing to God.But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
Philippians 4:19But my God so great is His wealth of glory in Christ Jesus will fully supply every need of yours. And my God will give you all you have need of from the wealth of his glory in Christ Jesus. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:20And to our God and Father be the glory throughout the Ages of the Ages! Amen. Now to God our Father be glory for ever and ever. So be it.Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Philippians 4:21My Christian greetings to every one of God's people. The brethren who are with me send their greetings.Give words of love to every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me send you their love.Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.
Philippians 4:22All God's people here greet you especially the members of Caesar's household. All the saints send their love to you, specially those who are of Caesar's house. All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household.
Philippians 4:23May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirits. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
