Luke 17:1 | Jesus said to His disciples, "It is inevitable that causes of stumbling should come; but alas for him through whom they come! | And he said to his disciples, It is necessary for causes of trouble to come about, but unhappy is he by whom they come. | Then he said to the disciples, It is impossible but that causes of sin will come: but woe to him by whom they come! |
Luke 17:2 | It would be well for him if, with a millstone round his neck, he were lying at the bottom of the sea, rather than that he should cause even one of these little ones to fall. | It would be well for him if a great stone was put round his neck and he was dropped into the sea, before he made trouble for any of these little ones. | It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to fall into sin. |
Luke 17:3 | Be on your guard. "If your brother acts wrongly, reprove him; and if he is sorry, forgive him; | Give attention to yourselves: if your brother does wrong, say a sharp word to him; and if he has sorrow for his sin, let him have forgiveness. | Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother shall trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he shall repent forgive him. |
Luke 17:4 | and if seven times in a day he acts wrongly towards you, and seven times turns again to you and says, `I am sorry,' you must forgive him." | And if he does you wrong seven times in a day, and seven times comes to you and says, I have regret for what I have done; let him have forgiveness. | And if he shall trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day shall turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. |

Luke 17:6 | "If your faith," replied the Lord, "is like a mustard seed, you might command this black-mulberry-tree, `Tear up your roots and plant yourself in the sea,' and instantly it would obey you. | And the Lord said, If your faith was only as great as a grain of mustard seed, you might say to this tree, Be rooted up and planted in the sea; and it would be done. | And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard-seed, ye might say to this sycamine-tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it would obey you. |
Luke 17:7 | But which of you who has a servant ploughing, or tending sheep, will say to him when he comes in from the farm, `Come at once and take your place at table,' | But which of you, having a servant who is ploughing or keeping sheep, will say to him, when he comes in from the field, Come now and be seated and have a meal, | But which of you having a servant plowing, or feeding cattle, will say to him immediately, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to eat? |
Luke 17:8 | and will not rather say to him, `Get my dinner ready, make yourself tidy, and wait upon me till I have finished my dinner, and then you shall have yours'? | Will he not say, Get a meal for me, and make yourself ready and see to my needs till I have had my food and drink; and after that you may have yours? | And will not rather say to him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drank; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? |
Luke 17:9 | Does he thank the servant for obeying his orders? | Does he give praise to the servant because he did what was ordered? | Doth he thank that servant, because he did the things that were commanded him? I suppose not. |
Luke 17:10 | So you also, when you have obeyed all the orders given you, must say, "`There is no merit in our service: what we have done is only what we were in duty bound to do.'" | In the same way, when you have done all the things which are given you to do, say, There is no profit in us, for we have only done what we were ordered to do. | So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all the things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which it was our duty to do. |

Luke 17:14 | Perceiving this, He said to them, "Go and show yourselves to the Priests." Luke 17:15 | One of them, seeing that he was cured, came back, adoring and praising God in a loud voice, | And one of them, when he saw that he was clean, turning back, gave praise to God in a loud voice; | And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, |

Luke 17:18 | Have none been found to come back and give glory to God except this foreigner?" | Have not any of them come back to give glory to God, but only this one from a strange land? | There are not found returning to give glory to God, save this stranger. |

Luke 17:20 | Being asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God was coming, He answered, "The Kingdom of God does not so come that you can stealthily watch for it. | And when the Pharisees put questions to him about when the kingdom of God would come, he gave them an answer and said, The kingdom of God will not come through observation: | And when he was asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation. |
Luke 17:21 | Nor will they say, `See here!' or `See there!' for the Kingdom of God is within you." | And men will not say, See, it is here! or, There! for the kingdom of God is among you. | Neither will they say, Lo here! or lo there! for behold, the kingdom of God is within you. |
Luke 17:22 | Then, turning to His disciples, He said, "There will come a time when you will wish you could see a single one of the days of the Son of Man, but will not see one. | And he said to his disciples, The time will come when you will have a great desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, but you will not see it. | And he said to his disciples, The days will come, when ye will desire to see one of the days of the son of man, and ye shall not see it. |
Luke 17:23 | And they will say to you, `See there!' `See here!' Do not start off and go in pursuit. | And if they say to you, See, it is there! or, It is here! do not go away, or go after them. | And they will say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. |
Luke 17:24 | For just as the lightning, when it flashes, shines from one part of the horizon to the opposite part, so will the Son of Man be on His day. | For as in a thunderstorm the bright light is seen from one end of the sky to the other, so will the Son of man be when his time comes. | For as the lightning that lighteneth from the one part under heaven, shineth to the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. |
