Matthew 15:3 | "Why do you, too," He retorted, "transgress God's commands for the sake of your tradition? | And in answer he said to them, Why do you, yourselves, go against the word of God on account of the teaching which has been handed down to you? | But he answered and said to them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? |
Matthew 15:4 | For God said, `Honour thy father and thy mother'; and `Let him who reviles father or mother be certainly put to death'; | For God said, Give honour to your father and mother: and, He who says evil of father or mother will be put to death. | For God commanded, saying, Honor thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. |

Matthew 15:6 | he shall be absolved from honouring his father'; and so you have abrogated God's Word for the sake of your tradition. | There is no need for him to give honour to his father. And you have made the word of God without effect because of your teaching. | And honor not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. |

Matthew 15:9 | but it is in vain they worship Me, while they lay down precepts which are mere human rules.'" | But their worship is to no purpose, while they give as their teaching the rules of men. | But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. |
Matthew 15:10 | Then, when He had called the people to Him, Jesus said, "Hear and understand. | And he got the people together and said to them, Give ear, and let my words be clear to you: | And he called the multitude, and said to them, Hear, and understand: |
Matthew 15:11 | It is not what goes into a man's mouth that defiles him; but it is what comes out of his mouth *that* defiles a man." | Not that which goes into the mouth makes a man unclean, but that which comes out of the mouth. | Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. |
Matthew 15:12 | Then His disciples came and said to Him, "Do you know that the Pharisees were greatly shocked when they heard those words?" | Then the disciples came and said to him, Did you see that the Pharisees were troubled when these words came to their ears? | Then came his disciples, and said to him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended after they heard this saying? |

Matthew 15:14 | Leave them alone. They are blind guides of the blind; and if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into some pit." | Let them be: they are blind guides. And if the blind leadeth the blind, both will fall into the ditch. |

Matthew 15:18 | But the things that come out of the mouth proceed from the heart, and it is these that defile the man. | But the things which come out of the mouth come from the heart; and they make a man unclean. | But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. |
Matthew 15:19 | For out of the heart proceed wicked thoughts, murder, adultery, fornication, theft, perjury, impiety of speech. | For out of the heart come evil thoughts, the taking of life, broken faith between the married, unclean desires of the flesh, taking of property, false witness, bitter words: | For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: |
