| 1st-Peter 5:1 | So I exhort the Elders among you I who am their fellow Elder and have been an eye-witness of the sufferings of the Christ, and am also a sharer in the glory which is soon to be revealed. | I who am myself one of the rulers of the church, and a witness of the death of Christ, having my part in the coming glory, send this serious request to the chief men among you: | Elders who [are] among you, I exhort, who [am] a fellow-elder, and a witness of the sufferings of the Christ, and of the glory about to be revealed a partaker, |
| 1st-Peter 5:2 | Be shepherds of God's flock which is among you. Exercise the oversight not reluctantly but eagerly, in accordance with the will of God; not for base gain but with cheerful minds; | Keep watch over the flock of God which is in your care, using your authority, not as forced to do so, but gladly; and not for unclean profit but with a ready mind; | feed the flock of God that [is] among you, overseeing not constrainedly, but willingly, neither for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind, |
| 1st-Peter 5:3 | not lording it over your Churches but proving yourselves patterns for the flock to imitate. | Not as lords over God's heritage, but making yourselves examples to the flock. | neither as exercising lordship over the heritages, but patterns becoming of the flock, |
| 1st-Peter 5:4 | And then, when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the never-withering wreath of glory. | And at the coming of the chief Keeper of the sheep, you will be given the eternal crown of glory. | and at the manifestation of the chief Shepherd, ye shall receive the unfading crown of glory. |
