Mark 11:1When they were getting near Jerusalem and had arrived at Bethphage and Bethany, on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples on in front, with these instructions. And when they draw near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sends two of his disciples,And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, to Bethphage, and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
Mark 11:2"Go," He said, "to the village facing you, and immediately on entering it you will find an ass's foal tied up which no one has ever yet ridden: untie him and bring him here.and says to them, Go into the village which is over against you, and immediately on entering into it ye will find a colt tied, upon which no [child] of man has ever sat: loose it and lead it [here].And saith to them, Go into the village over against you: and as soon as ye have entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, on which never man sat; loose him, and bring him.
Mark 11:3And if any one asks you, `Why are you doing that?' say, `The Master needs it, and will send it back here without delay.'"And if any one say to you, Why do ye this? say, The Lord has need of it; and straightway he sends it hither. And if any man shall say to you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and immediately he will send him hither.
Mark 11:4So they went and found a young ass tied up at the front door of a house. They were untying it,And they departed, and found a colt bound to the door without at the crossway, and they loose him.And they went, and found the colt tied by the door without, in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
Mark 11:5when some of the bystanders called out, "What are you doing, untying the foal?"And some of those who stood there said to them, What are ye doing, loosing the colt? And certain of them that stood there, said to them, What do ye, loosing the colt?
Mark 11:6But on their giving the answer that Jesus had bidden them give, they let them take it.And they said to them as Jesus had commanded. And they let them [do it].And they said to them even as Jesus had commanded; and they let them go.
Mark 11:7So they brought the foal to Jesus, and threw their outer garments over him; and Jesus mounted. And they led the colt to Jesus, and cast their clothes upon it, and he sat on it;And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.
Mark 11:8Then many spread their outer garments to carpet the road, and others leafy branches which they had cut down in the fields;and many strewed their clothes on the way, and others cut down branches from the trees [and went on strewing them on the way].And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off trees, and strewed them in the way.
Mark 11:9while those who led the way and those who followed kept shouting "God save Him!" Blessed be He who comes in the Lord's name. And those going on before and those following cried out, Hosanna! blessed [be] he that comes in [the] Lord's name. And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Mark 11:10Blessings on the coming Kingdom of our forefather David! God in the highest Heavens save Him!"Blessed [be] the coming kingdom of our father David. Hosanna in the highest!Blessed be the kingdom of our Father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
Mark 11:11So He came into Jerusalem and into the Temple; and after looking round upon everything there, the hour being now late He went out to Bethany with the Twelve. And he entered into Jerusalem and into the temple; and having looked round on all things, the hour being already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve. And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round upon all things, it being now evening, he went out to Bethany, with the twelve.
Mark 11:12The next day, after they had left Bethany, He was hungry. And on the morrow, when they were gone out of Bethany, he hungered. And on the morrow, when they had come from Bethany, he was hungry,
Mark 11:13But in the distance He saw a fig-tree in full leaf, and went to see whether perhaps He could find some figs on it. When however He came to it, He found nothing but leaves (for it was not fig time); And seeing from afar off a fig-tree which had leaves, he came, if perhaps he might find something on it. And having come up to it he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the time of figs. And seeing a fig-tree afar off, having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing on it: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves: for the time of figs had not yet come.
Mark 11:14and He said to the tree, "Let no one ever again eat fruit from thee!" And His disciples heard this. And answering he said to it, Let no one eat fruit of thee any more for ever. And his disciples heard [it].And Jesus answered and said to it, Let no man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
Mark 11:15They reached Jerusalem, and entering the Temple He began to drive out the buyers and sellers, and upset the money-changers' tables and the stools of the pigeon-dealers,And they come to Jerusalem, and entering into the temple, he began to cast out those who sold and who bought in the temple, and he overthrew the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of the dove-sellers,And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
Mark 11:16and would not allow any one to carry anything through the Temple.and suffered not that any one should carry any package through the temple. And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
Mark 11:17And He remonstrated with them. "Is it not written," He said, "`My House shall be called The House of Prayer for all the nations?' But you have made it what it now is a robbers' cave."And he taught saying to them, Is it not written, My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations? but *ye* have made it a den of robbers. And he taught, saying to them, Is it not written, My house shall be called by all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
Mark 11:18This the High Priests and Scribes heard, and they began to devise means to destroy Him. For they were afraid of Him, because of the deep impression produced on all the people by His teaching. And the chief priests and the scribes heard [it], and they sought how they might destroy him; for they feared him, because all the crowd were astonished at his doctrine. And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people were astonished at his doctrine.
Mark 11:19When evening came on, Jesus and His disciples used to leave the city. And when it was evening he went forth without the city. And when evening had come, he went out of the city.
Mark 11:20In the early morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig-tree withered to the roots; And passing by early in the morning they saw the fig-tree dried up from the roots. And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig-tree dried up from the roots.
Mark 11:21and Peter, recollecting, said to Him, "Look, Rabbi, the fig-tree which you cursed is withered up."And Peter, remembering [what Jesus had said], says to him, Rabbi, see, the fig-tree which thou cursedst is dried up.And Peter calling to remembrance, saith to him, Master, behold, the fig-tree which thou cursedst is withered.
Mark 11:22Jesus said to them, "Have faith in God.And Jesus answering says to them, Have faith in God.And Jesus answering, saith to them, Have faith in God.
Mark 11:23In solemn truth I tell you that if any one shall say to this mountain, `Remove, and hurl thyself into the sea,' and has no doubt about it in his heart, but stedfastly believes that what he says will happen, it shall be granted him.Verily I say to you, that whosoever shall say to this mountain, Be thou taken away and cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but believe that what he says takes place, whatever he shall say shall come to pass for him.For verily I say to you, that whoever shall say to this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that the things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatever he saith.
Mark 11:24That is why I tell you, as to whatever you pray and make request for, if you believe that you have received it it shall be yours. For this reason I say to you, All things whatsoever ye pray for and ask, believe that ye receive it, and it shall come to pass for you. Therefore I say to you, Whatever things ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Mark 11:25But whenever you stand praying, if you have a grievance against any one, forgive it, so that your Father in Heaven may also forgive you your offences."And when ye stand praying, forgive if ye have anything against any one, that your Father also who is in the heavens may forgive you your offences. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any: that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
Mark 11:26[]But if *ye* do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in the heavens forgive your offences. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
Mark 11:27They came again to Jerusalem; and as He was walking in the Temple, the High Priests, Scribes and Elders came to HimAnd they come again to Jerusalem. And as he walked about in the temple, the chief priests and the scribes and the elders come to him,And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
Mark 11:28and asked, "By what authority are you doing these things? and who gave you authority to do them?"and they say to him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority, that thou shouldest do these things? And say to him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
Mark 11:29"And I will put a question to you," replied Jesus; "answer me, and then I will tell you by what authority I do these things. And Jesus answering said to them, *I* also will ask you one thing, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things:And Jesus answered and said to them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
Mark 11:30John's Baptism was it of Heavenly or of human origin? Answer me."The baptism of John, was it of heaven, or of men? answer me.The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men? answer me.
Mark 11:31So they debated the matter with one another. "Suppose we say, `Heavenly,'" they argued, "he will ask, `Why then did you not believe him?'And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we should say, Of heaven, he will say, Why [then] have ye not believed him?And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
Mark 11:32Or should we say, `human?'" They were afraid of the people; for all agreed in holding John to have been really a Prophet.but should we say, Of men they feared the people; for all held of John that he was truly a prophet. But if we shall say, from men; they feared the people: for all men counted John that he was a prophet indeed.
Mark 11:33So they answered Jesus, "We do not know." "Nor do I tell you," said Jesus, "by what authority I do these things."And they answering say to Jesus, We do not know. And Jesus [answering] says to them, Neither do *I* tell you by what authority I do these things. And they answered and said to Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
