| 1st-Peter 4:1 | Since, then, Christ has suffered in the flesh, you also must arm yourselves with a determination to do the same because he who has suffered in the flesh has done with sin | Christ, then, having suffered for us in [the] flesh, do *ye* also arm yourselves with the same mind; for he that has suffered in [the] flesh has done with sin, | Forasmuch then as Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin; |
| 1st-Peter 4:2 | that in future you may spend the rest of your earthly lives, governed not by human passions, but by the will of God. | no longer to live the rest of [his] time in [the] flesh to men's lusts, but to God's will. | that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. |

If it begins first at us, what will happen to those who don't obey the gospel of God? |
| 1st-Peter 4:18 | And if it is difficult even for a righteous man to be saved, what will become of irreligious men and sinners? | And if the righteous is difficultly saved, where shall the impious and [the] sinner appear? | "If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will happen to the ungodly and the sinner?" |
| 1st-Peter 4:19 | Therefore also, let those who are suffering in accordance with the will of God entrust their souls in well-doing to a faithful Creator. | Wherefore also let them who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls in well-doing to a faithful Creator. | Therefore let them also who suffer according to the will of God in doing good entrust their souls to him, as to a faithful Creator. |
