| 2nd-Peter 1:1 | Simon Peter, a bondservant and Apostle of Jesus Christ: To those to whom there has been allotted the same precious faith as that which is ours through the righteousness of our God and of our Saviour Jesus Christ. | Simon Peter, bondman and apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have received like precious faith with us through [the] righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ: | Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have obtained a like precious faith with us in the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ: |

| 2nd-Peter 1:10 | For this reason, brethren, be all the more in earnest to make sure that God has called you and chosen you; for it is certain that so long as you practise these things, you will never stumble. | Wherefore the rather, brethren, use diligence to make your calling and election sure, for doing these things ye will never fall; | Therefore, brothers, be more diligent to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never stumble. |

| 2nd-Peter 1:14 | For I know that the time for me to lay aside my body is now rapidly drawing near, even as our Lord Jesus Christ has revealed to me. | knowing that the putting off of my tabernacle is speedily [to take place], as also our Lord Jesus Christ has manifested to me; | knowing that the putting off of my tent comes swiftly, even as our Lord, Jesus Christ, made clear to me. |
| 2nd-Peter 1:15 | So on every possible occasion I will also do my best to enable you to recall these things after my departure. | but I will use diligence, that after my departure ye should have also, at any time, [in your power] to call to mind these things. | Yes, I will make every effort that you may always be able to remember these things even after my departure. |
| 2nd-Peter 1:16 | For when we made known to you the power and Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, we were not eagerly following cleverly devised legends, but we had been eye-witnesses of His majesty. | For we have not made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, following cleverly imagined fables, but having been eyewitnesses of *his* majesty. | For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. |
| 2nd-Peter 1:17 | He received honour and glory from God the Father, and out of the wondrous glory words such as these were spoken to Him, "This is My dearly-loved Son, in whom I take delight." | For he received from God [the] Father honour and glory, such a voice being uttered to him by the excellent glory: This is my beloved Son, in whom *I* have found my delight; | For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." |

| 2nd-Peter 1:20 | But, above all, remember that no prophecy in Scripture will be found to have come from the prophet's own prompting; | knowing this first, that [the scope of] no prophecy of scripture is had from its own particular interpretation, | knowing this first, that no prophecy of scripture is of private interpretation. |
| 2nd-Peter 1:21 | for never did any prophecy come by human will, but men sent by God spoke as they were impelled by the Holy Spirit. | for prophecy was not ever uttered by [the] will of man, but holy men of God spake under the power of [the] Holy Spirit. | For no prophecy ever came by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke, being moved by the Holy Spirit. |
