| 2nd-Peter 2:1 | But there were also false prophets among the people, as there will be teachers of falsehood among you also, who will cunningly introduce fatal divisions, disowning even the Sovereign Lord who has redeemed them, and bringing on themselves swift destruction. | But there were false prophets also among the people, as there shall be also among you false teachers, who shall bring in by the bye destructive heresies, and deny the master that bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction; | But there also arose false prophets among the people, as among you also there will be false teachers, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction. |
| 2nd-Peter 2:2 | And in their immoral ways they will have many eager disciples, through whom religion will be brought into disrepute. | and many shall follow their dissolute ways, through whom the way of the truth shall be blasphemed. | Many will follow their destructive ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned. |
