| John 15:1 | "I am the Vine the True Vine, and my Father is the vine-dresser. | If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; as I also have kept my Father's commandments, and do abide in his love. | I am the true vine and my Father is the gardener. |
| John 15:2 | Every branch in me if it bears no fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. | These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be filled. | He takes away every branch in me which has no fruit, and every branch which has fruit he makes clean, so that it may have more fruit. |
| John 15:3 | Already you are cleansed through the teaching which I have given you. | This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you. | You are clean, even now, through the teaching which I have given you. |
| John 15:4 | Continue in me, and let me continue in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself that is, if it does not continue in the vine so neither can you if you do not continue in me. | Greater love than this no man hath, that a man lay down his life for his friends. | Be in me at all times as I am in you. As the branch is not able to give fruit of itself, if it is not still on the vine, so you are not able to do so if you are not in me. |

| John 15:11 | "These things I have spoken to you in order that I may have joy in you, and that your joy may become perfect. | Remember my word that I said to you: The servant is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have kept my word, they will keep yours also. | I have said these things to you so that I may have joy in you and so that your joy may be complete. |

| John 15:16 | It is not you who chose me, but it is I who chose you and appointed you that you might go and be fruitful and that your fruit might remain; so that whatever petition you present to the Father in my name He may give you. | But that the word may be fulfilled which is written in their law: They hated me without cause. | You did not take me for yourselves, but I took you for myself; and I gave you the work of going about and producing fruit which will be for ever; so that whatever request you make to the Father in my name he may give it to you. |
| John 15:17 | "Thus I command you to love one another. | But when the Paraclete cometh, whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceedeth from the Father, he shall give testimony of me. | So this is my law for you: Have love one for another. |
| John 15:18 | If the world hates you, remember that it has first had me as the fixed object of its hatred. | And you shall give testimony, because you are with me from the beginning. | If you are hated by the world, keep in mind that I was hated by the world before you. |

But because you do not belong to the world, and I have chosen you out of the world for that reason the world hates you. | | If you were of the world, you would be loved by the world: but because you are not of the world, but I have taken you out of the world, you are hated by the world. |
| John 15:20 | Bear in mind what I said to you, `A servant is not superior to his master.' If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. | | Keep in mind the words I said to you, A servant is not greater than his lord. If they were cruel to me, they will be cruel to you; if they kept my words, they will keep yours. |
| John 15:21 | But they will inflict all this suffering upon you on account of your bearing my name because they do not know Him who sent me. | | They will do all this to you because of my name because they have no knowledge of him who sent me. |
| John 15:22 | "If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have had no sin; but as the case stands they are without excuse for their sin. | | If I had not come and been their teacher they would have had no sin: but now they have no reason to give for their sin. |
