Luke 22:2 | and the High Priests and the Scribes were contriving how to destroy Him. But they feared the people. | And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might put Jesus to death: but they feared the people. | and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people. |
Luke 22:3 | Satan, however, entered into Judas (the man called Iscariot) who was one of the Twelve. | And Satan entered into Judas, who was surnamed Iscariot, one of the twelve. | And Satan entered into Judas, who was surnamed Iscariote, being of the number of the twelve. |
Luke 22:4 | He went and conferred with the High Priests and Commanders as to how he should deliver Him up to them. | And he went, and discoursed with the chief priests and the magistrates, how he might betray him to them. | And he went away and spoke with the chief priests and captains as to how he should deliver him up to them. |
Luke 22:5 | This gave them great pleasure, and they agreed to pay him. | And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money. | And they were rejoiced, and agreed to give him money. |
Luke 22:6 | He accepted their offer, and then looked out for an opportunity to betray Him when the people were not there. | And he promised. And he sought opportunity to betray him in the absence of the multitude. | And he came to an agreement to do it, and sought an opportunity to deliver him up to them away from the crowd. |
Luke 22:7 | When the day of the Unleavened Bread came the day for the Passover lamb to be sacrificed | And the day of the unleavened bread came, on which it was necessary that the pasch should be killed. | And the day of unleavened bread came, in which the passover was to be killed. |
Luke 22:8 | Jesus sent Peter and John with instructions. "Go," He said, "and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat it." | And he sent Peter and John, saying: Go, and prepare for us the pasch, that we may eat. | And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare the passover for us, that we may eat [it]. |
Luke 22:9 | "Where shall we prepare it?" they asked. | But they said: Where wilt thou that we prepare? | But they said to him, Where wilt thou that we prepare [it]? |
Luke 22:10 | "You will no sooner have entered the city," He replied, "than you will meet a man carrying a pitcher of water. Follow him into the house to which he goes, | And he said to them: Behold, as you go into the city, there shall meet you a man carrying a pitcher of water: follow him into the house where he entereth in. | And he said to them, Behold, as ye enter into the city a man will meet you, carrying an earthen pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he goes in; |
Luke 22:11 | and say to the master of the house, "`The Rabbi asks you, Where is the room where I can eat the Passover with my disciples?' | And you shall say to the goodman of the house: The master saith to thee, Where is the guest chamber, where I may eat the pasch with my disciples? | and ye shall say to the master of the house, The Teacher says to thee, Where is the guest-chamber where I may eat the passover with my disciples? |
Luke 22:12 | "And he will show you a large furnished room upstairs. There make your preparations." | And he will shew you a large dining room, furnished; and there prepare. | And *he* will shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready. |
Luke 22:13 | So they went and found all as He had told them; and they got the Passover ready. | And they going, found as he had said to them, and made ready the pasch. | And having gone they found it as he had said to them; and they prepared the passover. |
Luke 22:14 | When the time was come, and He had taken His place at table, and the Apostles with Him, | And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him. | And when the hour was come, he placed himself at table, and the [twelve] apostles with him. |
Luke 22:15 | He said to them, "Earnestly have I longed to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; | And he said to them: With desire I have desired to eat this pasch with you, before I suffer. | And he said to them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer. |
Luke 22:16 | for I tell you that I certainly shall not eat one again till its full meaning has been brought out in the Kingdom of God." | For I say to you, that from this time I will not eat it, till it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. | For I say unto you, that I will not eat any more at all of it until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. |
Luke 22:17 | Then, having received the cup and given thanks, He said, "Take this and share it among yourselves; | And having taken the chalice, he gave thanks, and said: Take, and divide it among you: | And having received a cup, when he had given thanks he said, Take this and divide it among yourselves. |
Luke 22:18 | for I tell you that from this time I will never drink the produce of the vine till the Kingdom of God has come." | For I say to you, that I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, till the kingdom of God come. | For I say unto you, that I will not drink at all of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God come. |
Luke 22:19 | Then, taking a Passover biscuit, He gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body which is being given on your behalf: this do in remembrance of me." | And taking bread, he gave thanks, and brake; and gave to them, saying: This is my body, which is given for you. Do this for a commemoration of me. | And having taken a loaf, when he had given thanks, he broke [it], and gave [it] to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. |
Luke 22:20 | He gave them the cup in like manner, when the meal was over. "This cup," He said, "is the new Covenant ratified by my blood which is to be poured out on your behalf. | In like manner the chalice also, after he had supped, saying: This is the chalice, the new testament in my blood, which shall be shed for you. | In like manner also the cup, after having supped, saying, This cup [is] the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. |
Luke 22:21 | Yet the hand of him who is betraying me is at the table with me. | But yet behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table. | Moreover, behold, the hand of him that delivers me up [is] with me on the table; |
Luke 22:22 | For indeed the Son of Man goes on His way His pre-destined way; yet alas for that man who is betraying Him!" | And the Son of man indeed goeth, according to that which is determined: but yet, woe to that man by whom he shall be betrayed. | and the Son of man indeed goes as it is determined, but woe unto that man by whom he is delivered up. |
Luke 22:23 | Thereupon they began to discuss with one another which of them it could possibly be who was about to do this. | And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing. | And *they* began to question together among themselves who then it could be of them who was about to do this. |
Luke 22:24 | There arose also a dispute among them which of them should be regarded as greatest. | And there was also a strife amongst them, which of them should seem to be the greater. | And there was also a strife among them which of them should be held to be [the] greatest. |

Luke 22:26 | With you it is not so; but let the greatest among you be as the younger, and the leader be like him who serves. | But you not so: but he that is the greater among you, let him become as the younger; and he that is the leader, as he that serveth. | But *ye* [shall] not [be] thus; but let the greater among you be as the younger, and the leader as he that serves. |
Luke 22:27 | For which is the greater he who sits at table, or he who waits on him? Is it not he who sits at table? But my position among you is that of one who waits on others. | For which is greater, he that sitteth at table, or he that serveth? Is it not he that sitteth at table? But I am in the midst of you, as he that serveth: | For which [is] greater, he that is at table or he that serves? [Is] not he that is at table? But *I* am in the midst of you as the one that serves. |

Luke 22:30 | so that you shall eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom, and sit on thrones as judges over the twelve tribes of Israel. | That you may eat and drink at my table, in my kingdom: and may sit upon thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. | that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. |

And they said, Nothing. |
Luke 22:36 | "But now," said He, "let the one who has a purse take it, and he who has a bag must do the same. And let him who has no sword sell his outer garment and buy one. | But they said: Nothing. Then said he unto them: But now he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise a scrip; and he that hath not, let him sell his coat, and buy a sword. | He said therefore to them, But now he that has a purse let him take [it], in like manner also a scrip, and he that has none let him sell his garment and buy a sword; |
Luke 22:37 | For I tell you that those words of Scripture must yet find their fulfilment in me: `And He was reckoned among the lawless'; for indeed that saying about me has its accomplishment." | For I say to you, that this that is written must yet be fulfilled in me: And with the wicked was he reckoned. For the things concerning me have an end. | for I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned with [the] lawless: for also the things concerning me have an end. |
