John 10:1"In most solemn truth I tell you that the man who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs over some other way, is a thief and a robber.Amen, amen I say to you: He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up another way, the same is a thief and a robber.`Verily, verily, I say to you, He who is not entering through the door to the fold of the sheep, but is going up from another side, that one is a thief and a robber;
John 10:2But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.and he who is entering through the door is shepherd of the sheep;
John 10:3To him the porter opens the door, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by their names and leads them out.To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.to this one the doorkeeper doth open, and the sheep hear his voice, and his own sheep he doth call by name, and doth lead them forth;
John 10:4When he has brought out his own sheep all of them he walks at the head of them; and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice.And when he hath let out his own sheep, he goeth before them: and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice.and when his own sheep he may put forth, before them he goeth on, and the sheep follow him, because they have known his voice;
John 10:5But a stranger they will by no means follow, but will run away from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers."But a stranger they follow not, but fly from him, because they know not the voice of strangers.and a stranger they will not follow, but will flee from him, because they have not known the voice of strangers.`
John 10:6Jesus spoke to them in this figurative language, but they did not understand what He meant.This proverb Jesus spoke to them. But they understood not what he spoke to them.This similitude spake Jesus to them, and they knew not what the things were that he was speaking to them;
John 10:7Again therefore Jesus said to them, "In most solemn truth I tell you that I am the Door of the sheep.Jesus therefore said to them again: Amen, amen I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.Jesus said therefore again to them, `Verily, verily, I say to you I am the door of the sheep;
John 10:8All who have come before me are thieves and robbers; but the sheep would not listen to them.All others, as many as have come, are thieves and robbers: and the sheep heard them not.all, as many as came before me, are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them;
John 10:9I am the Door. If any one enters by me, he will find safety, and will go in and out and find pasture.I am the door. By me, if any man enter in, he shall be saved: and he shall go in, and go out, and shall find pastures.I am the door, through me if any one may come in, he shall be saved, and he shall come in, and go out, and find pasture.
John 10:10The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy: I have come that they may have Life, and may have it in abundance.The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I am come that they may have life, and may have it more abundantly.`The thief doth not come, except that he may steal, and kill, and destroy; I came that they may have life, and may have [it] abundantly.
John 10:11"I am the Good Shepherd. A good shepherd lays down his very life for the sheep.I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd giveth his life for his sheep.`I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd his life layeth down for the sheep;
John 10:12The hired servant one who is not a shepherd and does not own the sheep no sooner sees the wolf coming than he leaves the sheep and runs away; and the wolf worries and scatters them.But the hireling, and he that is not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and flieth: and the wolf catcheth, and scattereth the sheep:and the hireling, and not being a shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, doth behold the wolf coming, and doth leave the sheep, and doth flee; and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep;
John 10:13For he is only a hired servant and cares nothing for the sheep.And the hireling flieth, because he is a hireling: and he hath no care for the sheep.and the hireling doth flee because he is an hireling, and is not caring for the sheep.
John 10:14"I am the Good Shepherd. And I know my sheep and my sheep know me,I am the good shepherd; and I know mine, and mine know me.`I am the good shepherd, and I know my [sheep], and am known by mine,
John 10:15just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I am laying down my life for the sheep.As the Father knoweth me, and I know the Father: and I lay down my life for my sheep.according as the Father doth know me, and I know the Father, and my life I lay down for the sheep,
John 10:16I have also other sheep which do not belong to this fold. Those also I must bring, and they will listen to my voice; and they shall become one flock under one Shepherd.And other sheep I have, that are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice, and there shall be one fold and one shepherd.and other sheep I have that are not of this fold, these also it behoveth me to bring, and my voice they will hear, and there shall become one flock one shepherd.
John 10:17For this reason my Father loves me, because I am laying down my life in order to receive it back again.Therefore doth the Father love me: because I lay down my life, that I may take it again.`Because of this doth the Father love me, because I lay down my life, that again I may take it;
John 10:18No one is taking it away from me, but I myself am laying it down. I am authorized to lay it down, and I am authorized to receive it back again. This is the command I received from my Father."No man taketh it away from me: but I lay it down of myself, and I have power to lay it down: and I have power to take it up again. This commandment have I received of my Father.no one doth take it from me, but I lay it down of myself; authority I have to lay it down, and authority I have again to take it; this command I received from my Father.`
John 10:19Again there arose a division among the Jews because of these words.A dissension rose again among the Jews for these words.Therefore, again, there came a division among the Jews, because of these words,
John 10:20Many of them said, "He is possessed by a demon and is mad. Why do you listen to him?"And many of them said: He hath a devil, and is mad: why hear you him?and many of them said, `He hath a demon, and is mad, why do ye hear him?`
John 10:21Others argued, "That is not the language of a demoniac: and can a demon open blind men's eyes?"Others said: These are not the words of one that hath a devil: Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?others said, `These sayings are not those of a demoniac; is a demon able blind men`s eyes to open?`
John 10:22The Dedication Festival came on in Jerusalem. It was winter,And it was the feast of the dedication at Jerusalem: and it was winter.And the dedication in Jerusalem came, and it was winter,
John 10:23and Jesus was walking in the Temple in Solomon's Portico,And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon's porch.and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the porch of Solomon,
John 10:24when the Jews gathered round Him and kept asking Him, "How long do you mean to keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us so plainly."The Jews therefore came round about him, and said to him: How long dost thou hold our souls in suspense? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.the Jews, therefore, came round about him, and said to him, `Till when our soul dost thou hold in suspense? if thou art the Christ, tell us freely.`
John 10:25"I have told you," answered Jesus, "and you do not believe. The deeds that I do in my Father's name they give testimony about me.Jesus answered them: I speak to you, and you believe not: the works that I do in the name of my Father, they give testimony of me.Jesus answered them, `I told you, and ye do not believe; the works that I do in the name of my Father, these testify concerning me;
John 10:26But you do not believe, because you are not my sheep.But you do not believe, because you are not of my sheep.but ye do not believe, for ye are not of my sheep,
John 10:27My sheep listen to my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.My sheep hear my voice: and I know them, and they follow me.according as I said to you: My sheep my voice do hear, and I know them, and they follow me,
John 10:28I give them the Life of the Ages, and they shall never, never perish, nor shall any one wrest them from my hand.And I give them life everlasting; and they shall not perish for ever, and no man shall pluck them out of my hand.and life age-during I give to them, and they shall not perish to the age, and no one shall pluck them out of my hand;
John 10:29What my Father has given me is more precious than all besides; and no one is able to wrest anything from my Father's hand.That which my Father hath given me, is greater than all: and no one can snatch them out of the hand of my Father.my Father, who hath given to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to pluck out of the hand of my Father;
John 10:30I and the Father are one."I and the Father are one.I and the Father are one.`
John 10:31Again the Jews brought stones with which to stone Him.The Jews then took up stones to stone him.Therefore, again, did the Jews take up stones that they may stone him;
John 10:32Jesus remonstrated with them. "Many good deeds," He said, "have I shown you as coming from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone me?"Jesus answered them: Many good works I have shewed you from my Father; for which of these works do you stone me?Jesus answered them, `Many good works did I shew you from my Father; because of which work of them do ye stone me?`
John 10:33"For no good deed," the Jews replied, "are we going to stone you, but for blasphemy, and because you, who are only a man, are making yourself out to be God."The Jews answered him: For a good work we stone thee not, but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, maketh thyself God.The Jews answered him, saying, `For a good work we do not stone thee, but for evil speaking, and because thou, being a man, dost make thyself God.`
John 10:34"Does it not stand written in your Law," replied Jesus, "`I said, you are gods'?Jesus answered them: Is it not written in your law: I said you are gods?Jesus answered them, `Is it not having been written in your law: I said, ye are gods?
John 10:35If those to whom God's word was addressed are called gods (and the Scripture cannot be annulled),If he called them gods, to whom to word of God was spoken, and the scripture cannot be broken;if them he did call gods unto whom the word of God came, (and the Writing is not able to be broken,)
John 10:36how is it that you say to one whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, `You are blaspheming,' because I said, `I am God's Son'?Do you say of him whom the Father hath sanctified and sent into the world: Thou blasphemest, because I said, I am the Son of God?of him whom the Father did sanctify, and send to the world, do ye say Thou speakest evil, because I said, Son of God I am?
John 10:37If the deeds I do are not my Father's deeds, do not believe me.If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.if I do not the works of my Father, do not believe me;
John 10:38But if they are, then even if you do not believe me, at least believe the deeds, that you may know and see clearly that the Father is in me, and that I am in the Father."But if I do, though you will not believe me, believe the works: that you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.and if I do, even if me ye may not believe, the works believe, that ye may know and may believe that in me [is] the Father, and I in Him.`
John 10:39This made them once more try to arrest Him, but He withdrew out of their power.They sought therefore to take him; and he escaped out of their hands.Therefore were they seeking again to seize him, and he went forth out of their hand,

John 10:41Large numbers of people also came to Him. Their report was, "John did not work any miracle, but all that John said about this Teacher was true."And many resorted to him, and they said: John indeed did no sign.and many came unto him, and said `John, indeed, did no sign, and all things, as many as John said about this one were true;`
John 10:42And many became believers in Him there.But all things whatsoever John said of this man, were true. And many believed in him.and many did believe in him there.
