Matthew 20:5"So they went. Again about twelve, and about three o'clock, he went out and did the same.And they went their way. And again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did in like manner.and they went away. `Again, having gone forth about the sixth and the ninth hour, he did in like manner.
Matthew 20:6And going out about five o'clock he found others loitering, and he asked them, "`Why have you been standing here all day long, doing nothing?'But about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing, and he saith to them: Why stand you here all the day idle?And about the eleventh hour, having gone forth, he found others standing idle, and saith to them, Why here have ye stood all the day idle?
Matthew 20:7"`Because no one has hired us,' they replied. "`You also, go into the vineyard,' he said.They say to him: Because no man hath hired us. He saith to them: Go you also into my vineyard.they say to him, Because no one did hire us; he saith to them, Go ye ye also to the vineyard, and whatever may be righteous ye shall receive.

Begin with the last set and finish with the first.'And when evening was come, the lord of the vineyard saith to his steward: Call the labourers and pay them their hire, beginning from the last even to the first.`And evening having come, the lord of the vineyard saith to his steward, Call the workmen, and pay them the reward, having begun from the last unto the first.
Matthew 20:9"When those came who had begun at five o'clock, they received a shilling apiece;When therefore they were come, that came about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.And they of about the eleventh hour having come, did receive each a denary.
Matthew 20:10and when the first came, they expected to get more, but they also each got the shilling.But when the first also came, they thought that they should receive more: and they also received every man a penny.`And the first having come, did suppose that they shall receive more, and they received, they also, each a denary,

Matthew 20:13"`My friend,' he answered to one of them, `I am doing you no injustice. Did you not agree with me for a shilling?But he answering said to one of them: Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst thou not agree with me for a penny?`And he answering said to one of them, Comrade, I do no unrighteousness to thee; for a denary didst not thou agree with me?
Matthew 20:14Take your money and go. I choose to give this last comer just as much as I give you.Take what is thine, and go thy way: I will also give to this last even as to thee.take that which is thine, and go; and I will to give to this, the last, also as to thee;
Matthew 20:15Have I not a right to do what I choose with my own property? Or are you envious because I am generous?'Or, is it not lawful for me to do what I will? is thy eye evil, because I am good?is it not lawful to me to do what I will in mine own? is thine eye evil because I am good?
