But already, when he was not far from the house, the centurion sent to him friends, saying to him, Lord, do not trouble thyself, for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof.
Luke 7:7and therefore I did not deem myself worthy to come to you. Only speak the word, and let my young man be cured.Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed. Wherefore neither did I count myself worthy to come to thee. But say by a word and my servant shall be healed.
Luke 7:8For I too am a man obedient to authority, and have soldiers under me; and I say to one, `Go,' and he goes; to another, `Come,' and he comes; and to my slave, `Do this or that,' and he does it."For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. For *I* also am a man placed under authority, having under myself soldiers, and I say to this [one], Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my bondman, Do this, and he does [it].
Luke 7:9Jesus listened to the Captain's message and was astonished at him, and He turned and said to the crowd that followed Him, "I tell you that not even in Israel have I found faith like that."When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. And Jesus hearing this wondered at him, and turning to the crowd following him said, I say to you, Not even in Israel have I found so great faith.
Luke 7:10And the friends who had been sent, on returning to the house, found the servant in perfect health.And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick. And they who had been sent returning to the house found the bondman, who was ill, in good health.

And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. and coming up he touched the bier, and the bearers stopped. And he said, Youth, I say to thee, Wake up.
Luke 7:15The dead man sat up and began to speak; and He restored him to his mother.And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother. And the dead sat up and began to speak; and he gave him to his mother.
Luke 7:16All were awe-struck, and they gave glory to God some saying, "A Prophet, a great Prophet, has risen up among us." Others said, "God has not forgotten His People."And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people. "Are you the Coming One?" he asked, "or is there another that we are to expect?"And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? and John, having called two of his disciples, sent to Jesus, saying, Art *thou* he that is coming, or are we to wait for another?
Luke 7:20The men came to Jesus and said, "John the Baptist has sent us to you with this question: `Are you the Coming One, or is there another that we are to expect?'"When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? But the men having come to him said, John the baptist has sent us to thee, saying, Art *thou* he that is coming, or are we to wait for another?

A reed waving in the wind?And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind? And the messengers of John having departed, he began to speak to the crowds concerning John: What went ye out into the wilderness to behold? a reed shaken by the wind?
Luke 7:25But what did you go out to see? A man wearing luxurious clothes? People who are gorgeously dressed and live in luxury are found in palaces.But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts. But what went ye out to see? a man clothed in delicate garments? Behold, those who are in splendid clothing and live luxuriously are in the courts of kings.
Luke 7:26But what did you go out to see? A Prophet? Aye, I tell you, and far more than a Prophet.But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet. But what went ye out to see? a prophet? Yea, I say to you, and [what is] more excellent than a prophet.

This is he concerning whom it is written, Behold, *I* send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee;
Luke 7:28"I tell you that among all of women born there is not one greater than John. Yet one who is of lower rank in the Kingdom of God is greater than he.For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he. for I say unto you, Among them that are born of women a greater [prophet] is no one than John [the baptist]; but he who is a little one in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
Luke 7:29And all the people, including the tax-gatherers, when they listened to him upheld the righteousness of God, by being baptized with John's baptism.And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John. (And all the people who heard [it], and the tax-gatherers, justified God, having been baptised with the baptism of John;
Luke 7:30But the Pharisees and expounders of the Law have frustrated God's purpose as to their own lives, by refusing to be baptized.But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him. but the Pharisees and the lawyers rendered null as to themselves the counsel of God, not having been baptised by him.)

They are like children sitting in the market-place, and calling one to another and saying, We have piped to you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.
Luke 7:33For John the Baptist has come eating no bread and drinking no wine, and you say, `He has a demon!'For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil. For John the baptist has come neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and ye say, He has a demon.
Luke 7:34The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, `Look, there is a man who is overfond of eating and drinking he is a friend of tax-gatherers and notorious sinners!'The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! The Son of man has come eating and drinking, and ye say, Behold an eater and wine-drinker, a friend of tax-gatherers and sinners;

And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat. But one of the Pharisees begged him that he would eat with him. And entering into the house of the Pharisee he took his place at table;
Luke 7:37And there was a woman in the town who was a notorious sinner. Luke 7:38and, standing behind close to His feet, weeping, began to wet His feet with her tears; and with her hair she wiped the tears away again, while she lovingly kissed His feet and poured the perfume over them.And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. and standing at his feet behind [him] weeping, began to wash his feet with tears; and she wiped them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed [them] with the myrrh.
Luke 7:39Noticing this, the Pharisee, His host, said to himself, "This man, if he were really a Prophet, would know who and what sort of person this woman is who is touching him and would know that she is an immoral woman."Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner. And the Pharisee who had invited him, seeing it, spoke with himself saying, This [person] if he were a prophet would have known who and what the woman is who touches him, for she is a sinner.
Luke 7:40In answer to his thoughts Jesus said to him, "Simon, I have a word to say to you." "Rabbi, say on," he replied.And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on. And Jesus answering said to him, Simon, I have somewhat to say to thee. And he says, Teacher, say [it].
Luke 7:41"There were once two men in debt to one money-lender," said Jesus; "one owed him five hundred shillings and the other fifty.There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. There were two debtors of a certain creditor: one owed five hundred denarii and the other fifty;
Luke 7:42But neither of them could pay anything; so he freely forgave them both. Tell me, then, which of them will love him most?"And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? but as they had nothing to pay, he forgave both of them [their debt]: [say,] which of them therefore will love him most?
Luke 7:43"I suppose," replied Simon, "the one to whom he forgave most." "You have judged rightly," Jesus rejoined.Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged. And Simon answering said, I suppose he to whom he forgave the most. And he said to him, Thou hast rightly judged.
Luke 7:44Then turning towards the woman He said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I came into your house: you gave me no water for my feet; but she has made my feet wet with her tears, and then wiped the tears away with her hair.And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. And turning to the woman he said to Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thy house; thou gavest me not water on my feet, but *she* has washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with her hair.
Luke 7:45No kiss did you give me; but she from the moment I came in has not left off tenderly kissing my feet.Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. Thou gavest me not a kiss, but *she* from the time I came in has not ceased kissing my feet.
Luke 7:46No oil did you pour even on my head; but she has poured perfume upon my feet.My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment. My head with oil thou didst not anoint, but *she* has anointed my feet with myrrh.
Luke 7:47This is the reason why I tell you that her sins, her many sins, are forgiven because she has loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little."Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. For which cause I say to thee, Her many sins are forgiven; for she loved much; but he to whom little is forgiven loves little.
Luke 7:48And He said to her, "Your sins are forgiven."And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. And he said to her, Thy sins are forgiven.
Luke 7:49Then the other guests began to say to themselves, "Who can this man be who even forgives sins?"And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? And they that were with [them] at table began to say within themselves, Who is this who forgives also sins?
