Mark 6:2 | On the Sabbath He proceeded to teach in the synagogue; and many, as they heard Him, were astonished. "Where did he acquire all this?" they asked. "What is this wisdom that has been given to him? And what are these marvellous miracles which his hands perform? | And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? | And when sabbath was come he began to teach in the synagogue, and many hearing were amazed, saying, Whence [has] this [man] these things? and what [is] the wisdom that is given to him, and such works of power are done by his hands? |

And they were offended at him. | Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James, and Joses, and Judas, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended in him. |
Mark 6:4 | But Jesus said to them, "There is no Prophet without honour except in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own home." | But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. | But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not despised save in his own country, and among [his] kinsmen, and in his own house. |
Mark 6:5 | And He could not do any miracle there, except that He laid His hands on a few who were out of health and cured them; and | And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. | And he could not do any work of power there, save that laying his hands on a few infirm persons he healed [them]. |

Mark 6:11 | But wherever they will not receive you or listen to you, when you leave shake off the very dust from under your feet to bear witness concerning them." | And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. | And whatsoever place shall not receive you nor hear you, departing thence, shake off the dust which is under your feet for a testimony to them. |

Mark 6:14 | King Herod heard of all this (for the name of Jesus had become widely known), and he kept saying, "John the Baptizer has come back to life, and that is why these miraculous Powers are working in him." | And king Herod heard of him; (for his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him. | And Herod the king heard [of him] (for his name had become public), and said, John the baptist is risen from among [the] dead, and on this account works of power are wrought by him. |

For there were many coming and going, so that they had no time even for meals. | And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. | And he said to them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place and rest a little. For those coming and those going were many, and they had not leisure even to eat. |

And he began to teach them many things. |
Mark 6:35 | By this time it was late; so His disciples came to Him, and said, "This is a lonely place, and the hour is now late: | And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed: | And when it was already late in the day, his disciples coming to him say, The place is desert, and it is already late in the day; |

Then He broke the loaves into portions which He went on handing to the disciples to distribute; giving pieces also of the two fish to them all. | And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all. | And having taken the five loaves and the two fishes, looking up to heaven, he blessed, and broke the loaves, and gave [them] to his disciples that they might set [them] before them. Mark 6:48 | But when He saw them distressed with rowing (for the wind was against them), towards morning He came towards them walking on the Lake, as if intending to pass them. | And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them. | And seeing them labouring in rowing, for the wind was contrary to them, about the fourth watch of the night he comes to them walking on the sea, and would have passed them by. |

Mark 6:50 | for they all saw Him and were terrified. He, however, immediately spoke to them. "There is no danger," He said; "it is I; be not alarmed." | For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid. | For all saw him and were troubled. And immediately he spoke with them, and says to them, Be of good courage: it is *I*; be not afraid. |

And they were exceedingly beyond measure astonished in themselves and wondered; |
