| Matthew 19:1 | When Jesus had finished these discourses, He removed from Galilee and came into that part of Judaea which lay beyond the Jordan. | And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan; | And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these words, he withdrew from Galilee, and came to the coasts of Judaea beyond the Jordan; |
| Matthew 19:2 | And a vast multitude followed him, and He cured them there. | And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there. | and great crowds followed him, and he healed them there. |
| Matthew 19:3 | Then came some of the Pharisees to Him to put Him to the proof by the question, "Has a man a right to divorce his wife whenever he chooses?" | The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? | And the Pharisees came to him tempting him, and saying, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? |
