Romans 8:1There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus; There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [There is] then now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:2for the Spirit's Law telling of Life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the Law that deals only with sin and death. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and of death.
Romans 8:3For what was impossible to the Law powerless as it was because it acted through frail humanity God effected. Sending His own Son in a body like that of sinful human nature and as a sacrifice for sin, He pronounced sentence upon sin in human nature; For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, having sent his own Son, in likeness of flesh of sin, and for sin, has condemned sin in the flesh,
Romans 8:4in order that in our case the requirements of the Law might be fully met. For our lives are regulated not by our earthly, but by our spiritual natures. That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. in order that the righteous requirement of the law should be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to flesh but according to Spirit.
Romans 8:5For if men are controlled by their earthly natures, they give their minds to earthly things. If they are controlled by their spiritual natures, they give their minds to spiritual things. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For they that are according to flesh mind the things of the flesh; and they that are according to Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
Romans 8:6Because for the mind to be given up to earthly things means death; but for it to be given up to spiritual things means Life and peace. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. For the mind of the flesh [is] death; but the mind of the Spirit life and peace.
Romans 8:7Abandonment to earthly things is a state of enmity to God. Such a mind does not submit to God's Law, and indeed cannot do so.Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. Because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God; for neither indeed can it be:
Romans 8:8And those whose hearts are absorbed in earthly things cannot please God.So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. and they that are in flesh cannot please God.
Romans 8:9You, however, are not devoted to earthly, but to spiritual things, if the Spirit of God is really dwelling in you; whereas if any man has not the Spirit of Christ, such a one does not belong to Him.But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. But *ye* are not in flesh but in Spirit, if indeed God's Spirit dwell in you; but if any one has not [the] Spirit of Christ *he* is not of him:
Romans 8:10But if Christ is in you, though your body must die because of sin, yet your spirit has Life because of righteousness. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. but if Christ be in you, the body is dead on account of sin, but the Spirit life on account of righteousness.
Romans 8:11And if the Spirit of Him who raised up Jesus from the dead is dwelling in you, He who raised up Christ from the dead will give Life also to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who dwells in you.But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. But if the Spirit of him that has raised up Jesus from among [the] dead dwell in you, he that has raised up Christ from among [the] dead shall quicken your mortal bodies also on account of his Spirit which dwells in you.
Romans 8:12Therefore, brethren, it is not to our lower natures that we are under obligation that we should live by their rule.Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. So then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to flesh;
Romans 8:13For if you so live, death is near; but if, through being under the sway of the spirit, you are putting your old bodily habits to death, you will live. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. for if ye live according to flesh, ye are about to die; but if, by the Spirit, ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live:
Romans 8:14For those who are led by God's Spirit are, all of them, God's sons. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. for as many as are led by [the] Spirit of God, *these* are sons of God.
Romans 8:15You have not for the second time acquired the consciousness of being a consciousness which fills you with terror. But you have acquired a deep inward conviction of having been adopted as sons a conviction which prompts us to cry aloud, "Abba! our Father!"For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. For ye have not received a spirit of bondage again for fear, but ye have received a spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Romans 8:16The Spirit Himself bears witness, along with our own spirits, to the fact that we are children of God;The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are children of God.
Romans 8:17and if children, then heirs too heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ; if indeed we are sharers in Christ's sufferings, in order that we may also be sharers in His glory. And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. And if children, heirs also: heirs of God, and Christ's joint heirs; if indeed we suffer with [him], that we may also be glorified with [him].
Romans 8:18Why, what we now suffer I count as nothing in comparison with the glory which is soon to be manifested in us.For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy [to be compared] with the coming glory to be revealed to us.
Romans 8:19For all creation, gazing eagerly as if with outstretched neck, is waiting and longing to see the manifestation of the sons of God.For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the anxious looking out of the creature expects the revelation of the sons of God:
Romans 8:20For the Creation fell into subjection to failure and unreality (not of its own choice, but by the will of Him who so subjected it).For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, for the creature has been made subject to vanity, not of its will, but by reason of him who has subjected [the same], in hope
Romans 8:21Yet there was always the hope that at last the Creation itself would also be set free from the thraldom of decay so as to enjoy the liberty that will attend the glory of the children of God.Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. that the creature itself also shall be set free from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God.
Romans 8:22For we know that the whole of Creation is groaning together in the pains of childbirth until this hour. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. For we know that the whole creation groans together and travails in pain together until now.
Romans 8:23And more than that, we ourselves, though we possess the Spirit as a foretaste and pledge of the glorious future, yet we ourselves inwardly sigh, as we wait and long for open recognition as sons through the deliverance of our bodies. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. And not only [that], but even *we* ourselves, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, we also ourselves groan in ourselves, awaiting adoption, [that is] the redemption of our body.
Romans 8:24It is *in hope* that we have been saved. But an object of hope is such no longer when it is present to view; for when a man has a thing before his eyes, how can he be said to hope for it?For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? For we have been saved in hope; but hope seen is not hope; for what any one sees, why does he also hope?
Romans 8:25But if we hope for something which we do not see, then we eagerly and patiently wait for it.But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. But if what we see not we hope, we expect in patience.
Romans 8:26In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weakness; for we do not know what prayers to offer nor in what way to offer them. But the Spirit Himself pleads for us in yearnings that can find no words,Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And in like manner the Spirit joins also its help to our weakness; for we do not know what we should pray for as is fitting, but the Spirit itself makes intercession with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Romans 8:27and the Searcher of hearts knows what the Spirit's meaning is, because His intercessions for God's people are in harmony with God's will. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. But he who searches the hearts knows what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he intercedes for saints according to God.
Romans 8:28Now we know that for those who love God all things are working together for good for those, I mean, whom with deliberate purpose He has called. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. But we *do* know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to purpose.
Romans 8:29For those whom He has known beforehand He has also pre-destined to bear the likeness of His Son, that He might be the Eldest in a vast family of brothers; For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Because whom he has foreknown, he has also predestinated [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, so that he should be [the] firstborn among many brethren.
Romans 8:30and those whom He has pre-destined He also has called; and those whom He has called He has also declared free from guilt; and those whom He has declared free from guilt He has also crowned with glory. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. But whom he has predestinated, these also he has called; and whom he has called, these also he has justified; but whom he has justified, these also he has glorified.
Romans 8:31What then shall we say to this? If God is on our side, who is there to appear against us?What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who against us?
Romans 8:32He who did not withhold even His own Son, but gave Him up for all of us, will He not also with Him freely give us all things? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? He who, yea, has not spared his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him grant us all things?
Romans 8:33Who shall impeach those whom God has chosen? God declares them free from guilt.Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who shall bring an accusation against God's elect? [It is] God who justifies:
Romans 8:34Who is there to condemn them? Christ Jesus died, or rather has risen to life again. He is also at the right hand of God, and is interceding for us.Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. who is he that condemns? [It is] Christ who has died, but rather has been [also] raised up; who is also at the right hand of God; who also intercedes for us.
Romans 8:35Who shall separate us from Christ's love? Shall affliction or distress, persecution or hunger, nakedness or danger or the sword?Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? tribulation or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?
Romans 8:36As it stands written in the Scripture, "For Thy sake they are, all day long, trying to kill us. We have been looked upon as sheep destined for slaughter."As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. According as it is written, For thy sake we are put to death all the day long; we have been reckoned as sheep for slaughter.
Romans 8:37Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who has loved us.Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. But in all these things we more than conquer through him that has loved us.
Romans 8:38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither the lower ranks of evil angels nor the higher, neither things present nor things future, nor the forces of nature,For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
Romans 8:39nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God which rests upon us in Christ Jesus our Lord.Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which [is] in Christ Jesus our Lord.
