| 1st-John 5:1 | Every one who believes that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God; and every one who loves the Father loves also Him who is the Father's Child. | Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. | Every one who is believing that Jesus is the Christ, of God he hath been begotten, and every one who is loving Him who did beget, doth love also him who is begotten of Him: |
| 1st-John 5:2 | The fact that we love God Himself, and obey His commands, is a proof that we love God's children. | By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. | in this we know that we love the children of God, when we may love God, and His commands may keep; |
