Romans 12:1I plead with you therefore, brethren, by the compassionsof God, to present all your faculties to Him as a living and holy sacrifice acceptable to Him. This with you will be an act of reasonable worship.Therefore I beg you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the compassions of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [which is] your intelligent service.
Romans 12:2And do not follow the customs of the present age, but be transformed by the entire renewal of your minds, so that you may learn by experience what God's will is that will which is good and beautiful and perfect.Don't be fashioned according to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of [your] mind, that ye may prove what [is] the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:3For through the authority graciously given to me I warn every individual among you not to value himself unduly, but to cultivate sobriety of judgement in accordance with the amount of faith which God has allotted to each one.For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think reasonably, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.For I say, through the grace which has been given to me, to every one that is among you, not to have high thoughts above what he should think; but to think so as to be wise, as God has dealt to each a measure of faith.
Romans 12:4For just as there are in the one human body many parts, and these parts have not all the same function;For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members don't have the same function,For, as in one body we have many members, but all the members have not the same office;
Romans 12:5so collectively we form one body in Christ, while individually we are linked to one another as its members.so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.thus we, [being] many, are one body in Christ, and each one members one of the other.
Romans 12:6But since we have special gifts which differ in accordance with the diversified work graciously entrusted to us, if it is prophecy, let the prophet speak in exact proportion to his faith;Having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us, if prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of our faith;But having different gifts, according to the grace which has been given to us, whether [it be] prophecy, [let us prophesy] according to the proportion of faith;
Romans 12:7if it is the gift of administration, let the administrator exercise a sound judgement in his duties.or service, let us give ourselves to service; or he who teaches, to his teaching;or service, [let us occupy ourselves] in service; or he that teaches, in teaching;
Romans 12:8The teacher must do the same in his teaching; and he who exhorts others, in his exhortation. He who gives should be liberal; he who is in authority should be energetic and alert; and he who succours the afflicted should do it cheerfully.or he who exhorts, to his exhorting: he who gives, let him do it with liberality; he who rules, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.or he that exhorts, in exhortation; he that gives, in simplicity; he that leads, with diligence; he that shews mercy, with cheerfulness.
Romans 12:9Let your love be perfectly sincere. Regard with horror what is evil; cling to what is right.Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.Let love be unfeigned; abhorring evil; cleaving to good:
Romans 12:10As for brotherly love, be affectionate to one another; in matters of worldly honour, yield to one another.In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate one to another; in honor preferring one another;as to brotherly love, kindly affectioned towards one another: as to honour, each taking the lead in paying it to the other:
Romans 12:11Do not be indolent when zeal is required. Be thoroughly warm-hearted, the Lord's own servants,not lagging in diligence; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;as to diligent zealousness, not slothful; in spirit fervent; serving the Lord.
Romans 12:12full of joyful hope, patient under persecution, earnest and persistent in prayer.rejoicing in hope; enduring in oppression; continuing steadfastly in prayer;As regards hope, rejoicing: as regards tribulation, enduring: as regards prayer, persevering:
Romans 12:13Relieve the necessities of God's people; always practise hospitality.contributing to the needs of the saints; given to hospitality.distributing to the necessities of the saints; given to hospitality.
Romans 12:14Invoke blessings on your persecutors blessings, not curses.Bless those who persecute you; bless, and don't curse.Bless them that persecute you; bless, and curse not.
Romans 12:15Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep.Rejoice with those that rejoice, weep with those that weep.
Romans 12:16Have full sympathy with one another. Do not give your mind to high things, but let humble ways content you. Do not be wise in your own conceits.Be of the same mind one toward another. Don't set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Don't be wise in your own conceits.Have the same respect one for another, not minding high things, but going along with the lowly: be not wise in your own eyes:
Romans 12:17Pay back to no man evil for evil. Take thought for what is right and seemly in every one's esteem.Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men.recompensing to no one evil for evil: providing things honest before all men:
Romans 12:18If you can, so far as it depends on you, live at peace with all the world.If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.if possible, as far as depends on you, living in peace with all men;
Romans 12:19Do not be revengeful, my dear friends, but give way before anger; for it is written, "`Revenge belongs to Me: I will pay back,' says the Lord."Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, "Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord."not avenging yourselves, beloved, but give place to wrath; for it is written, Vengeance [belongs] to me, *I* will recompense, saith the Lord.
Romans 12:20On the contrary, therefore, if your enemy is hungry, give him food; if he is thirsty, quench his thirst. For by doing this you will be heaping burning coals upon his head.Therefore "If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink. For in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head."If therefore thine enemy should hunger, feed him; if he should thirst, give him drink; for, so doing, thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head.
Romans 12:21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome the evil with goodness.Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
