When they had broken it up, they let down the mat that the paralytic was laying on.And when they could not come nigh to him by reason of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed on which the sick with the palsy lay.
Mark 2:5Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, "My son, your sins are pardoned."Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, "Son, your sins are forgiven you."When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the sick with the palsy, Son, thy sins are forgiven thee.

Mark 2:7"Why does this man use such words?" they said; "he is blaspheming. Who can pardon sins but One that is, God?""Why does this man speak blasphemies like that? He blasphemes! Who can forgive sins but one - God?"Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
Mark 2:8At once perceiving by His spirit that they were reasoning within themselves, Jesus asked them, "Why do you thus argue in your minds?Immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, said to them, "Why do you reason these things in your hearts? And immediately, when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said to them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?
Mark 2:9Which is easier? to say to this paralytic, `Your sins are pardoned,' or to say, `Rise, take up your mat, and walk?'Which is easier, to tell the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven;' or to say, 'Arise, and take up your bed, and walk?'Which is easier, to say to the sick with the palsy, Thy sins are forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?
Mark 2:10But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to pardon sins" He turned to the paralytic, and said,But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins" he said to the paralytic,But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, he saith to the sick with the palsy,
Mark 2:11"To you I say, `Rise, take up your mat and go home.'""I tell you, arise, take up your mat, and go to your house."I say to thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go into thy house.
Mark 2:12The man rose, and immediately under the eyes of all took up his mat and went out, so that they were all filled with astonishment, gave the glory to God, and said, "We never saw anything like this."He arose, and immediately took up the mat, and went out in front of them all; so that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, "We never saw anything like this!"And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; so that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.
Mark 2:13Again He went out to the shore of the Lake, and the whole multitude kept coming to Him, and He taught them.He went out again by the seaside. All the multitude came to him, and he taught them. And he went forth again by the sea-side; and all the multitude resorted to him, and he taught them.

And he arose and followed him.And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alpheus, sitting at the receipt of custom, and said to him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.
Mark 2:15When He was sitting at table in Levi's house, a large number of tax-gatherers and notorious sinners were at table with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many such who habitually followed Him.It happened, that he was reclining at the table in his house, and many tax collectors and sinners sat down with Jesus and his disciples, for there were many, and they followed him.And it came to pass, that as Jesus sat at table in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples; for there were many, and they followed him.
Mark 2:16But when the Scribes of the Pharisee sect saw Him eating with the sinners and the tax-gatherers, they said to His disciples, "He is eating and drinking with the tax-gatherers and sinners!"The scribes and the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with the sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples, "Why is it that he eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?"And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eating with publicans and sinners, they said to his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners.
Mark 2:17Jesus heard the words, and He said, "It is not the healthy who require a doctor, but the sick: I did not come to appeal to the righteous, but to sinners."When Jesus heard it, he said to them, "Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."When Jesus heard it, he saith to them, They that are in health, have no need of a physician, but they that are sick; I came not to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.

And they came and asked Him, "How is it that John's disciples and those of the Pharisees are fasting, and yours are not?"John's disciples and the Pharisees were fasting, and they came and asked him, "Why do John's disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples don't fast?"And the disciples of John, and of the Pharisees, used to fast: and they come, and say to him, Why do the disciples of John, and of the Pharisees fast, but thy disciples fast not?

Mark 2:21No one mends an old garment with a piece of unshrunk cloth. Otherwise, the patch put on would tear away from it the new from the old and a worse hole would be made.No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, or else the patch shrinks and the new tears away from the old, and a worse hole is made.No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up, taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse.
Mark 2:22And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise the wine would burst the skins, and both wine and skins would be lost. New wine needs fresh skins!"No one puts new wine into old wineskins, or else the new wine will burst the skins, and the wine pours out, and the skins will be destroyed; but they put new wine into fresh wineskins."And no man putteth new wine into old bottles, else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.
