Matthew 22:1 | Again Jesus spoke to them in figurative language. | Jesus answered and spoke again in parables to them, saying, | And Jesus answering, again spake to them in similes, saying, |
Matthew 22:2 | "The Kingdom of the Heavens," He said, "may be compared to a king who celebrated the marriage of his son, | "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son, | `The reign of the heavens was likened to a man, a king, who made marriage-feasts for his son, |
Matthew 22:3 | and sent his servants to call the invited guests to the wedding, but they were unwilling to come. | and sent forth his servants to call those who were invited to the marriage feast, but they would not come. | and he sent forth his servants to call those having been called to the marriage-feasts, and they were not willing to come. |
Matthew 22:4 | "Again he sent other servants with a message to those who were invited. "`My breakfast is now ready," he said, `my bullocks and fat cattle are killed, and every preparation is made: come to the wedding.' | Again he sent forth other servants, saying, 'Tell those who are invited, "Behold, I have made ready my dinner. My oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Matthew 22:5 | "They however gave no heed, but went, one to his home in the country, another to his business; | But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise, | and they, having disregarded [it], went away, the one to his own field, and the other to his merchandise; |
Matthew 22:6 | and the rest seized the king's servants, maltreated them, and murdered them. | and the rest grabbed his servants, and treated them shamefully, and killed them. | and the rest, having laid hold on his servants, did insult and slay [them]. |
Matthew 22:7 | So the king's anger was stirred, and he sent his troops and destroyed those murderers and burnt their city. | But the king was angry, and he sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city. | `And the king having heard, was wroth, and having sent forth his soldiers, he destroyed those murderers, and their city he set on fire; |
Matthew 22:8 | Then he said to his servants, "`The wedding banquet is ready, but those who were invited were unworthy of it. | Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding is ready, but they who were invited were not worthy. | then saith he to his servants, The marriage-feast indeed is ready, and those called were not worthy, |
Matthew 22:9 | Go out therefore to the crossroads, and everybody you meet invite to the wedding.' | Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the marriage feast.' | be going, then, on to the cross-ways, and as many as ye may find, call ye to the marriage-feasts. |
Matthew 22:10 | "So they went out into the roads and gathered together all they could find, both bad and good, and the banqueting hall was filled with guests. | Those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. Matthew 22:13 | "The man stood speechless. Then the king said to the servants, "`Bind him hand and foot and fling him into the darkness outside: there will be the weeping aloud and the gnashing of teeth.' | Then the king said to the servants, 'Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness; there is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.' | `Then said the king to the ministrants, Having bound his feet and hands, take him up and cast forth to the outer darkness, there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth; |

Matthew 22:17 | Give us your judgement therefore: is it allowable for us to pay a poll-tax to Caesar, or not?" | Tell us therefore, what do you think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?" | tell us, therefore, what dost thou think? is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar or not?` |
Matthew 22:18 | Perceiving their wickedness, Jesus replied, "Why are you hypocrites trying to ensnare me? | But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, "Why do you test me, you hypocrites? | And Jesus having known their wickedness, said, `Why me do ye tempt, hypocrites? |
Matthew 22:19 | Show me the tribute coin." And they brought Him a shilling. | Show me the tax money." They brought to him a denarius. | show me the tribute-coin?` and they brought to him a denary; |
Matthew 22:20 | "Whose likeness and inscription," He asked, "is this?" | He asked them, "Whose is this image and inscription?" | and he saith to them, `Whose [is] this image and the inscription?` |

Matthew 22:25 | Now we had among us seven brothers. The eldest of them married, but died childless, leaving his wife to his brother. | Now there were with us seven brothers. The first married and died, and having no seed left his wife to his brother. | `And there were with us seven brothers, and the first having married did die, and not having seed, he left his wife to his brother; |

Matthew 22:30 | For in the Resurrection, men neither marry nor are women given in marriage, but they are like angels in Heaven. | For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like God's angels in heaven. | for in the rising again they do not marry, nor are they given in marriage, but are as messengers of God in heaven. |
Matthew 22:31 | But as to the Resurrection of the dead, have you never read what God says to you, | But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven't you read that which was spoken to you by God, saying, | `And concerning the rising again of the dead, did ye not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying, |
Matthew 22:32 | `I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? He is not the God of dead, but of living men." | 'I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?'
