Matthew 24:1Jesus had left the Temple and was going on His way, when His disciples came and called His attention to the Temple buildings.Jesus went out from the temple, and was going on his way. His disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple.And having gone forth, Jesus departed from the temple, and his disciples came near to show him the buildings of the temple,
Matthew 24:2"You see all these?" He replied; "in solemn truth I tell you that there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be pulled down."But he answered them, "Don't you see all of these things? Most assuredly I tell you, there will not be left here one stone on another, that will not be thrown down."and Jesus said to them, `Do ye not see all these? verily I say to you, There may not be left here a stone upon a stone, that shall not be thrown down.`
Matthew 24:3Afterwards He was on the Mount of Olives and was seated there when the disciples came to Him, apart from the others, and said, "Tell us when this will be; and what will be the sign of your Coming and of the Close of the Age?"As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign of your coming, and of the end of the world?"And when he is sitting on the mount of the Olives, the disciples came near to him by himself, saying, `Tell us, when shall these be? and what [is] the sign of thy presence, and of the full end of the age?`
Matthew 24:4"Take care that no one misleads you," answered Jesus;Jesus answered them, "Be careful that no one leads you astray.And Jesus answering said to them, `Take heed that no one may lead you astray,
Matthew 24:5"for many will come assuming my name and saying `I am the Christ;' and they will mislead many.For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will lead many astray.for many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and they shall lead many astray,
Matthew 24:6And before long you will hear of wars and rumours of wars. Do not be alarmed, for such things must be; but the End is not yet.You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you aren't troubled, for all this must happen, but the end is not yet.and ye shall begin to hear of wars, and reports of wars; see, be not troubled, for it behoveth all [these] to come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Matthew 24:7For nation will rise in arms against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places;For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines, plagues, and earthquakes in various places.`For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places;
Matthew 24:8but all these miseries are but like the early pains of childbirth.But all these things are the beginning of birth pains.and all these [are] the beginning of sorrows;
Matthew 24:9"At that time they will deliver you up to punishment and will put you to death; and you will be objects of hatred to all the nations because you are called by my name.Then they will deliver you up to oppression, and will kill you. You will be hated by all of the nations for my name's sake.then they shall deliver you up to tribulation, and shall kill you, and ye shall be hated by all the nations because of my name;
Matthew 24:10Then will many stumble and fall, and they will betray one another and hate one another.Then will many stumble, and will deliver up one another, and will hate one another.and then shall many be stumbled, and they shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another.
Matthew 24:11Many false prophets will rise up and lead multitudes astray;Many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray.`And many false prophets shall arise, and shall lead many astray;
Matthew 24:12and because of the prevalent disregard of God's law the love of the great majority will grow cold;Because iniquity will be multiplied, the love of many will grow cold.and because of the abounding of the lawlessness, the love of the many shall become cold;
Matthew 24:13but those who stand firm to the End shall be saved.But he who endures to the end, the same will be saved.but he who did endure to the end, he shall be saved;
Matthew 24:14And this Good News of the Kingdom shall be proclaimed throughout the whole world to set the evidence before all the Gentiles; and then the End will come.This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.and this good news of the reign shall be proclaimed in all the world, for a testimony to all the nations; and then shall the end arrive.
Matthew 24:15"When you have seen (to use the language of the Prophet Daniel) the `Abomination of Desolation', standing in the Holy Place" let the reader observe those wordsWhen, therefore, you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),`Whenever, therefore, ye may see the abomination of the desolation, that was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoever is reading let him observe)
Matthew 24:16"then let those who are in Judaea escape to the hills;then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.then those in Judea let them flee to the mounts;
Matthew 24:17let him who is on the roof not go down to fetch what is in his house;Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take out things that are in his house.he on the house-top let him not come down to take up any thing out of his house;
Matthew 24:18nor let him who is outside the city stay to pick up his outer garment.Let him who is in the field not return back to take his cloak.and he in the field let him not turn back to take his garments.
Matthew 24:19And alas for the women who at that time are with child or have infants!But woe to those who are with child and to nursing mothers in those days!`And wo to those with child, and to those giving suck in those days;
Matthew 24:20"But pray that your flight may not be in winter, nor on the Sabbath;Pray that your flight will not be in the winter, nor on a Sabbath,and pray ye that your flight may not be in winter, nor on a sabbath;
Matthew 24:21for it will be a time of great suffering, such as never has been from the beginning of the world till now, and assuredly never will be again.for then will be great oppression, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever will be.for there shall be then great tribulation, such as was not from the beginning of the world till now, no, nor may be.
Matthew 24:22And if those days had not been cut short, no one would escape; but for the sake of God's own People those days will be cut short.Except those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved. But for the elect's sake, those days will be shortened.And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would have been saved; but because of the chosen, shall those days be shortened.
Matthew 24:23"If at that time any one should say to you, `See, here is the Christ!' or `Here!' give no credence to it.Then if any man will tell you, 'Behold, here is the Christ,' or, 'There,' don't believe it.`Then if any one may say to you, Lo, here [is] the Christ! or here! ye may not believe;
Matthew 24:24For there will rise up false Christs and false prophets, displaying wonderful signs and prodigies, so as to deceive, were it possible, even God's own People.For there will arise false Christs, and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.for there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and they shall give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, also the chosen.
Matthew 24:25Remember, I have forewarned you.Behold, I have told you beforehand.Lo, I did tell you beforehand.
Matthew 24:26If therefore they should say to you, `See, He is in the Desert!' do not go out there: or `See, He is indoors in the room!' do not believe it.If therefore they tell you, 'Behold, he is in the wilderness!' don't go out; 'Behold, he is in the inner chambers,' don't believe it.`If therefore they may say to you, Lo, in the wilderness he is, ye may not go forth; lo, in the inner chambers, ye may not believe;
Matthew 24:27For just as the lightning flashes in the east and is seen to the very west, so will be the Coming of the Son of Man.For as the lightning comes forth from the east, and is seen even to the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.for as the lightning doth come forth from the east, and doth appear unto the west, so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man;
Matthew 24:28Wherever the dead body is, there will the vultures flock together.For wherever the carcass is, there will the vultures be gathered together.for wherever the carcase may be, there shall the eagles be gathered together.
Matthew 24:29"But immediately after those times of distress the sun will be darkened, the moon will not shed her light, the stars will fall from the firmament, and the forces which control the heavens will be disordered and disturbed.But immediately after the oppression of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give her light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken;`And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken;
Matthew 24:30Then will appear the Sign of the Son of Man in the sky; and then will all the nations of the earth lament, when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with great power and glory.and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. Then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in the heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the earth smite the breast, and they shall see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of the heaven, with power and much glory;
Matthew 24:31And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet-blast, and they will bring together His own People to Him from north, south, east and west from one extremity of the world to the other.He will send forth his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.and he shall send his messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens unto the ends thereof.
Matthew 24:32"Now learn from the fig-tree the lesson it teaches. As soon as its branches have now become soft and it is bursting into leaf, you all know that summer is near."Now from the fig tree learn her parable. When its branch has now become tender, and puts forth its leaves, you know that the summer is near.`And from the fig-tree learn ye the simile: When already its branch may have become tender, and the leaves it may put forth, ye know that summer [is] nigh,
Matthew 24:33So you also, when you see all these signs, may be sure that He is near at your very door.Even so you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.so also ye, when ye may see all these, ye know that it is nigh at the doors.
Matthew 24:34I tell you in solemn truth that the present generation will certainly not pass away without all these things having first taken place.Most assuredly I tell you, this generation will not pass away, until all these things are accomplished.Verily I say to you, this generation may not pass away till all these may come to pass.
Matthew 24:35Earth and sky will pass away, but it is certain that my words will not pass away.Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Matthew 24:36"But as to that day and the exact time no one knows not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.But no one knows of that day and hour, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only.`And concerning that day and the hour no one hath known not even the messengers of the heavens except my Father only;
Matthew 24:37`For as it was in the time of Noah, so it will be at the Coming of the Son of Man.As the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.and as the days of Noah so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man;
Matthew 24:38At that time, before the Deluge, men were busy eating and drinking, taking wives or giving them, up to the very day when Noah entered the Ark,For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,for as they were, in the days before the flood, eating, and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, till the day Noah entered into the ark,
Matthew 24:39nor did they realise any danger till the Deluge came and swept them all away; so will it be at the Coming of the Son of Man.and they didn't know until the flood came, and took them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.and they did not know till the flood came and took all away; so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man.
Matthew 24:40Then will two men be in the open country: one will be taken away, and one left behind.Then will two men be in the field: one is taken, and one is left;Then two men shall be in the field, the one is received, and the one is left;
Matthew 24:41Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken away, and one left behind.two women grinding at the mill, one is taken, and one is left.two women shall be grinding in the mill, one is received, and one is left.
Matthew 24:42Be on the alert therefore, for you do not know the day on which your Lord is coming.Watch therefore, for you don't know in what hour your Lord comes.`Watch ye therefore, because ye have not known in what hour your Lord doth come;
Matthew 24:43But of this be assured, that if the master of the house had known the hour at which the robber was coming, he would have kept awake, and not have allowed his house to be broken into.But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.and this know, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief doth come, he had watched, and not suffered his house to be broken through;
Matthew 24:44Therefore you also must be ready; for it is at a time when you do not expect Him that the Son of Man will come.Therefore also be ready, for in an hour that you don't expect, the Son of Man will come.because of this also ye, become ye ready, because in what hour ye do not think, the Son of Man doth come.
Matthew 24:45"Who therefore is the loyal and intelligent servant to whom his master has entrusted the control of his household to give them their rations at the appointed time?Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has set over his household, to give them their food in due season?`Who, then, is the servant, faithful and wise, whom his lord did set over his household, to give them the nourishment in season?
Matthew 24:46Blessed is that servant whom his master when he comes shall find so doing!Blessed is that servant, whom his lord will find doing so when he comes.Happy that servant, whom his lord, having come, shall find doing so;
Matthew 24:47In solemn truth I tell you that he will give him the management of all his wealth.Most assuredly I tell you, that he will set him over all that he has.verily I say to you, that over all his substance he will set him.
Matthew 24:48But if the man, being a bad servant, should say in his heart, `My master is a long time in coming,'But if that evil servant should say in his heart, 'My lord is delaying his coming,'`And, if that evil servant may say in his heart, My Lord doth delay to come,
Matthew 24:49and should begin to beat his fellow servants, while he eats and drinks with drunkards;and began to beat his fellow-servants, and eat and drink with the drunken,and may begin to beat the fellow-servants, and to eat and to drink with the drunken,
Matthew 24:50the master of that servant will arrive on a day when he is not expecting him and at an hour of which he has not been informed;the lord of that servant will come in a day when he doesn't expect it, and in an hour when he doesn't know it,the lord of that servant will arrive in a day when he doth not expect, and in an hour of which he doth not know,
Matthew 24:51he will treat him with the utmost severity and assign him a place among the hypocrites: there will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.and will cut him in pieces, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites; there is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.and will cut him off, and his portion with the hypocrites will appoint; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.
