 The Weymouth New Testament Online Bible (WEY)The Young's Literal Translation Online Bible (YLT)The Darby Online Bible (DBY)
Hebrews 10:1For, since the Law exhibits only an outline of the blessings to come and not a perfect representation of the things themselves, the priests can never, by repeating the same sacrifices which they continually offer year after year, give complete freedom from sin to those who draw near.For the law having a shadow of the coming good things not the very image of the matters, every year, by the same sacrifices that they offer continually, is never able to make perfect those coming near,For the law, having a shadow of the coming good things, not the image itself of the things, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually yearly, perfect those who approach.
Hebrews 10:2For then would not the sacrifices have ceased to be offered, because the consciences of the worshippers who in that case would now have been cleansed once for all would no longer be burdened with sins?since, would they not have ceased to be offered, because of those serving having no more conscience of sins, having once been purified?Since, would they not indeed have ceased being offered, on account of the worshippers once purged having no longer any conscience of sins?
Hebrews 10:3But in those sacrifices sins are recalled to memory year after year.but in those [sacrifices] is a remembrance of sins every year,But in these [there is] a calling to mind of sins yearly.
Hebrews 10:4For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.for it is impossible for blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.For blood of bulls and goats [is] incapable of taking away sins.
Hebrews 10:5That is why, when He comes into the world, He says, "Sacrifice and offering Thou has not desired, but a body Thou hast prepared for Me.Wherefore, coming into the world, he saith, `Sacrifice and offering Thou didst not will, and a body Thou didst prepare for me,Wherefore coming into the world he says, Sacrifice and offering thou willedst not; but thou hast prepared me a body.
Hebrews 10:6In whole burnt-offerings and in sin-offerings Thou hast taken no pleasure.in burnt-offerings, and concerning sin-offerings, Thou didst not delight,Thou tookest no pleasure in burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sin.
Hebrews 10:7Then I said, `I have come in the roll of the book it is written concerning Me to do Thy will, O God.'"then I said, Lo, I come, (in a volume of the book it hath been written concerning me,) to do, O God, Thy will;`Then I said, Lo, I come (in [the] roll of the book it is written of me) to do, O God, thy will.
Hebrews 10:8After saying the words I have just quoted, "Sacrifices and offerings or whole burnt-offerings and sin-offerings Thou hast not desired or taken pleasure in" all such being offered in obedience to the Lawsaying above `Sacrifice, and offering, and burnt-offerings, and concerning sin-offering Thou didst not will, nor delight in,` which according to the law are offeredAbove, saying Sacrifices and offerings and burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sin thou willedst not, neither tookest pleasure in (which are offered according to the law);
Hebrews 10:9He then adds, "I have come to do Thy will." He does away with the first in order to establish the second.then he said, `Lo, I come to do, O God, Thy will;` he doth take away the first that the second he may establish;then he said, Lo, I come to do thy will. He takes away the first that he may establish the second;
Hebrews 10:10It is through that divine will that we have been set free from sin, through the offering of Jesus Christ as our sacrifice once for all.in the which will we are having been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once,by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Hebrews 10:11And while every priest stands ministering, day after day, and constantly offering the same sacrifices though such can never rid us of our sinsand every priest, indeed, hath stood daily serving, and the same sacrifices many times offering, that are never able to take away sins.And every priest stands daily ministering, and offering often the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.
Hebrews 10:12this Priest, on the contrary, after offering for sins a single sacrifice of perpetual efficacy, took His seat at God's right hand,And He, for sin one sacrifice having offered to the end, did sit down on the right hand of God,But *he*, having offered one sacrifice for sins, sat down in perpetuity at [the] right hand of God,
Hebrews 10:13waiting from that time onward until His enemies be put as a footstool under His feet.as to the rest, expecting till He may place his enemies [as] his footstool,waiting from henceforth until his enemies be set [for the] footstool of his feet.
Hebrews 10:14For by a single offering He has for ever completed the blessing for those whom He is setting free from sin.for by one offering he hath perfected to the end those sanctified;For by one offering he has perfected in perpetuity the sanctified.
Hebrews 10:15And the Holy Spirit also gives us His testimony; for when He had said,and testify to us also doth the Holy Spirit, for after that He hath said before,And the Holy Spirit also bears us witness [of it]; for after what was said:
Hebrews 10:16"`This is the Covenant that I will make with them after those days,' says the Lord: `I will put My laws upon their hearts and will write them on their minds;'"`This [is] the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, giving My laws on their hearts, and upon their minds I will write them,`This [is] the covenant which I will establish towards them after those days, saith [the] Lord: Giving my laws into their hearts, I will write them also in their understandings;
Hebrews 10:17He adds, "And their sins and offences I will remember no longer."and `their sins and their lawlessness I will remember no more;`and their sins and their lawlessnesses I will never remember any more.
Hebrews 10:18But where these have been forgiven no further offering for sin is required.and where forgiveness of these [is], there is no more offering for sin.But where there [is] remission of these, [there is] no longer a sacrifice for sin.
Hebrews 10:19Since then, brethren, we have free access to the Holy place through the blood of Jesus,Having, therefore, brethren, boldness for the entrance into the holy places, in the blood of Jesus,Having therefore, brethren, boldness for entering into the [holy of] holies by the blood of Jesus,
Hebrews 10:20by the new and ever-living way which He opened up for us through the rending of the veil that is to say, of His earthly naturewhich way he did initiate for us new and living, through the vail, that is, his fleshthe new and living way which he has dedicated for us through the veil, that is, his flesh,
Hebrews 10:21and since we have a great Priest who has authority over the house of God,and a high priest over the house of God,and [having] a great priest over the house of God,
Hebrews 10:22let us draw near with sincerity and unfaltering faith, having had our hearts sprinkled, once for all, from consciences oppressed with sin, and our bodies bathed in pure water.may we draw near with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, having the hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having the body bathed with pure water;let us approach with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, sprinkled as to our hearts from a wicked conscience, and washed as to our body with pure water.
Hebrews 10:23Let us hold firmly to an unflinching avowal of our hope, for He is faithful who gave us the promises.may we hold fast the unwavering profession of the hope, (for faithful [is] He who did promise),Let us hold fast the confession of the hope unwavering, (for he [is] faithful who has promised;)
Hebrews 10:24And let us bestow thought on one another with a view to arousing one another to brotherly love and right conduct;and may we consider one another to provoke to love and to good works,and let us consider one another for provoking to love and good works;
Hebrews 10:25not neglecting as some habitually do to meet together, but encouraging one another, and doing this all the more since you can see the day of Christ approaching.not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as a custom of certain [is], but exhorting, and so much the more as ye see the day coming nigh.not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the custom [is] with some; but encouraging [one another], and by so much the more as ye see the day drawing near.
Hebrews 10:26For if we wilfully persist in sin after having received the full knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains in reserve any other sacrifice for sins.For we willfully sinning after the receiving the full knowledge of the truth no more for sins doth there remain a sacrifice,For where we sin wilfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains any sacrifice for sins,
Hebrews 10:27There remains nothing but a certain awful expectation of judgement, and the fury of a fire which before long will devour the enemies of the truth.but a certain fearful looking for of judgment, and fiery zeal, about to devour the opposers;but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and heat of fire about to devour the adversaries.
Hebrews 10:28Any one who bids defiance to the Law of Moses is put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.any one who did set at nought a law of Moses, apart from mercies, by two or three witnesses, doth die,Any one that has disregarded Moses' law dies without mercy on [the testimony of] two or three witnesses:
Hebrews 10:29How much severer punishment, think you, will he be held to deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, has not regarded as holy that Covenant-blood with which he was set free from sin, and has insulted the Spirit from whom comes grace?of how much sorer punishment shall he be counted worthy who the Son of God did trample on, and the blood of the covenant did count a common thing, in which he was sanctified, and to the Spirit of the grace did despite?of how much worse punishment, think ye, shall he be judged worthy who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and esteemed the blood of the covenant, whereby he has been sanctified, common, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
Hebrews 10:30For we know who it is that has said, "Vengeance belongs to Me: I will pay back;" and again, "The Lord will be His people's judge."for we have known Him who is saying, `Vengeance [is] Mine, I will recompense, saith the Lord;` and again, `The Lord shall judge His people;`For we know him that said, To me [belongs] vengeance; *I* will recompense, saith the Lord: and again, The Lord shall judge his people.
Hebrews 10:31It is an awful thing to fall into the hands of the ever-living God.fearful [is] the falling into the hands of a living God.[It is] a fearful thing falling into [the] hands of [the] living God.
Hebrews 10:32But continually recall to mind the days now past, when on being first enlightened you went through a great conflict and many sufferings.And call to your remembrance the former days, in which, having been enlightened, ye did endure much conflict of sufferings,But call to mind the earlier days in which, having been enlightened, ye endured much conflict of sufferings;
Hebrews 10:33This was partly through allowing yourselves to be made a public spectacle amid reproaches and persecutions, and partly through coming forward to share the sufferings of those who were thus treated.partly both with reproaches and tribulations being made spectacles, and partly having become partners of those so living,on the one hand, when ye were made a spectacle both in reproaches and afflictions; and on the other, when ye became partakers with those who were passing through them.
Hebrews 10:34For you not only showed sympathy with those who were imprisoned, but you even submitted with joy when your property was taken from you, being well aware that you have in your own selves a more valuable possession and one which will remain.for also with my bonds ye sympathised, and the robbery of your goods with joy ye did receive, knowing that ye have in yourselves a better substance in the heavens, and an enduring one.For ye both sympathised with prisoners and accepted with joy the plunder of your goods, knowing that ye have for yourselves a better substance, and an abiding one.
Hebrews 10:35Therefore do not cast from you your confident hope, for it will receive a vast reward.Ye may not cast away, then, your boldness, which hath great recompense of reward,Cast not away therefore your confidence, which has great recompense.
Hebrews 10:36For you stand in need of patient endurance, so that, as the result of having done the will of God, you may receive the promised blessing.for of patience ye have need, that the will of God having done, ye may receive the promise,For ye have need of endurance in order that, having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.
Hebrews 10:37For there is still but a short time and then "The coming One will come and will not delay.for yet a very very little, He who is coming will come, and will not tarry;For yet a very little while he that comes will come, and will not delay.
Hebrews 10:38But it is by faith that My righteous servant shall live; and if he shrinks back, My soul takes no pleasure in him."and `the righteous by faith shall live,` and `if he may draw back, My soul hath no pleasure in him,`But the just shall live by faith; and, if he draw back, my soul does not take pleasure in him.
Hebrews 10:39But we are not people who shrink back and perish, but are among those who believe and gain possession of their souls.and we are not of those drawing back to destruction, but of those believing to a preserving of soul.But *we* are not drawers back to perdition, but of faith to saving [the] soul.
