| Matthew 2:1 | Now after the birth of Jesus, which took place at Bethlehem in Judaea in the reign of King Herod, excitement was produced in Jerusalem by the arrival of certain Magi from the east, | And Jesus having been born in Beth-Lehem of Judea, in the days of Herod the king, lo, mages from the east came to Jerusalem, | Now Jesus having been born in Bethlehem of Judaea, in the days of Herod the king, behold magi from the east arrived at Jerusalem, saying, |
| Matthew 2:2 | inquiring, "Where is the newly born king of the Jews? For we have seen his Star in the east, and have come here to do him homage." | saying, `Where is he who was born king of the Jews? for we saw his star in the east, and we came to bow to him.` | Where is the king of the Jews that has been born? for we have seen his star in the east, and have come to do him homage. |
