Acts 1:2after giving instruction through the Holy Spirit to the Apostles whom He had chosen, He was taken up to Heaven.till the day in which, having given command, through the Holy Spirit, to the apostles whom he did choose out, he was taken up,until the day in which he was received up, after he had given commandment through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen.
Acts 1:3He had also, after He suffered, shown Himself alive to them with many sure proofs, appearing to them at intervals during forty days, and speaking of the Kingdom of God.to whom also he did present himself alive after his suffering, in many certain proofs, through forty days being seen by them, and speaking the things concerning the reign of God.To these he also showed himself alive after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days, and spoke about God's kingdom.
Acts 1:4And while in their company He charged them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the Father's promised gift. "This you have heard of," He said, "from me.And being assembled together with them, he commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, [saith he,] `Ye did hear of me;Being assembled together with them, he charged them, "Don't depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which you heard from me.
Acts 1:5For John indeed baptized with water, but before many days have passed you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit."because John, indeed, baptized with water, and ye shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit after not many days.`For John indeed baptized with water, but you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days from now."
Acts 1:6Once when they were with Him, they asked Him, "Master, is this the time at which you are about to restore the kingdom of Israel?"They, therefore, indeed, having come together, were questioning him, saying, `Lord, dost thou at this time restore the reign to Israel?`Therefore, when they had come together, they asked him, "Lord, are you now restoring the kingdom to Israel?"
Acts 1:7"It is not for you," He replied, "to know times or epochs which the Father has reserved within His own authority;and he said unto them, `It is not yours to know times or seasons that the Father did appoint in His own authority;He said to them, "It isn't for you to know times or seasons which the Father has set within His own authority.
Acts 1:8and yet you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judaea and Samaria and to the remotest parts of the earth."but ye shall receive power at the coming of the Holy Spirit upon you, and ye shall be witnesses to me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and unto the end of the earth.`But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth."
Acts 1:9When He had said this, and while they were looking at Him, He was carried up, and a cloud closing beneath Him hid Him from their sight.And these things having said they beholding he was taken up, and a cloud did receive him up from their sight;When he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight.
Acts 1:10But, while they stood intently gazing into the sky as He went, suddenly there were two men in white garments standing by them,and as they were looking stedfastly to the heaven in his going on, then, lo, two men stood by them in white apparel,While they were looking steadfastly into the sky as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white clothing,
Acts 1:11who said, "Galilaeans, why stand looking into the sky? This same Jesus who has been taken up from you into Heaven will come in just the same way as you have seen Him going into Heaven."who also said, `Men, Galileans, why do ye stand gazing into the heaven? this Jesus who was received up from you into the heaven, shall so come in what manner ye saw him going on to the heaven.`who also said, "You men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who was received up from you into the sky will come back in the same way as you saw him going into the sky."
Acts 1:12Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mountain called the Oliveyard, which is near Jerusalem, about a mile off.Then did they return to Jerusalem from the mount that is called of Olives, that is near Jerusalem, a sabbath`s journey;Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mountain called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey away.
Acts 1:13They entered the city, and they went up to the upper room which was now their fixed place for meeting. Their names were Peter and John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas the brother of James.and when they came in, they went up to the upper room, where were abiding both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James, of Alphaeus, and Simon the Zelotes, and Judas, of James;When they had come in, they went up into the upper chamber, where they were staying; that is Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.
Acts 1:14All of these with one mind continued earnest in prayer, together with some women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and His brothers.these all were continuing with one accord in prayer and supplication, with women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.All these with one accord continued steadfastly in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary, the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.
Acts 1:15It was on one of these days that Peter stood up in the midst of the brethren the entire number of persons present being about 120 and said,And in these days, Peter having risen up in the midst of the disciples, said, (the multitude also of the names at the same place was, as it were, an hundred and twenty,)In these days, Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples (and there was a multitude of persons gathered together, about one hundred twenty), and said,
Acts 1:16"Brethren, it was necessary that the Scripture should be fulfilled the prediction, I mean, which the Holy Spirit uttered by the lips of David, about Judas, who acted as guide to those who arrested Jesus.`Men, brethren, it behoved this Writing that it be fulfilled that beforehand the Holy Spirit spake through the mouth of David, concerning Judas, who became guide to those who took Jesus,"Brothers, it was necessary that this Scripture should be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who was guide to those who took Jesus.
Acts 1:17For Judas was reckoned as one of our number, and a share in this ministry was allotted to him."because he was numbered among us, and did receive the share in this ministration,For he was numbered with us, and received his portion in this ministry.
Acts 1:18(Now having bought a piece of ground with the money paid for his wickedness he fell there with his face downwards, and, his body bursting open, he became disembowelled.this one, indeed, then, purchased a field out of the reward of unrighteousness, and falling headlong, burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed forth,Now this man obtained a field with the reward for his wickedness, and falling headlong, his body burst open, and all his intestines gushed out.
Acts 1:19This fact became widely known to the people of Jerusalem, so that the place received the name, in their language, of Achel-damach, which means `The Field of Blood.')and it became known to all those dwelling in Jerusalem, insomuch that that place is called, in their proper dialect, Aceldama, that is, field of blood,It became known to everyone who lived in Jerusalem that in their language that field was called 'Akeldama,' that is, 'The field of blood.'
Acts 1:20"For it is written in the Book of Psalms, "`Let his encampment be desolate: let there be no one to dwell there'; and "`His work let another take up.'for it hath been written in the book of Psalms: Let his lodging-place become desolate, and let no one be dwelling in it, and his oversight let another take.For it is written in the book of Psalms, 'Let his habitation be made desolate, Let no one dwell therein,' and, 'Let another take his office.'
Acts 1:21"It is necessary, therefore, that of the men who have been with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us`It behoveth, therefore, of the men who did go with us during all the time in which the Lord Jesus went in and went out among us,Of the men therefore who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and went out among us,

Acts 1:25to occupy the place in this ministry and Apostleship from which Judas through transgression fell, in order to go to his own place."to receive the share of this ministration and apostleship, from which Judas, by transgression, did fall, to go on to his proper place;`to take part in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas fell away, that he might go to his own place."
Acts 1:26Then they drew lots between them. The lot fell on Matthias, and a place among the eleven Apostles was voted to him.and they gave their lots, and the lot fell upon Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.They drew lots for them, and the lot fell on Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
