Romans 12:1I plead with you therefore, brethren, by the compassionsof God, to present all your faculties to Him as a living and holy sacrifice acceptable to Him. This with you will be an act of reasonable worship.I call upon you, therefore, brethren, through the compassions of God, to present your bodies a sacrifice living, sanctified, acceptable to God your intelligent service;Therefore I beg you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.
Romans 12:2And do not follow the customs of the present age, but be transformed by the entire renewal of your minds, so that you may learn by experience what God's will is that will which is good and beautiful and perfect.and be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, for your proving what [is] the will of God the good, and acceptable, and perfect.Don't be fashioned according to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:3For through the authority graciously given to me I warn every individual among you not to value himself unduly, but to cultivate sobriety of judgement in accordance with the amount of faith which God has allotted to each one.For I say, through the grace that was given to me, to every one who is among you, not to think above what it behoveth to think; but to think so as to think wisely, as to each God did deal a measure of faith,For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think reasonably, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.
Romans 12:4For just as there are in the one human body many parts, and these parts have not all the same function;for as in one body we have many members, and all the members have not the same office,For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members don't have the same function,
Romans 12:5so collectively we form one body in Christ, while individually we are linked to one another as its members.so we, the many, one body are in Christ, and members each one of one another.so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
Romans 12:6But since we have special gifts which differ in accordance with the diversified work graciously entrusted to us, if it is prophecy, let the prophet speak in exact proportion to his faith;And having gifts, different according to the grace that was given to us; whether prophecy `According to the proportion of faith!`Having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us, if prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of our faith;
Romans 12:7if it is the gift of administration, let the administrator exercise a sound judgement in his duties.or ministration `In the ministration!` or he who is teaching `In the teaching!`or service, let us give ourselves to service; or he who teaches, to his teaching;
Romans 12:8The teacher must do the same in his teaching; and he who exhorts others, in his exhortation. He who gives should be liberal; he who is in authority should be energetic and alert; and he who succours the afflicted should do it cheerfully.or he who is exhorting `In the exhortation!` he who is sharing `In simplicity!` he who is leading `In diligence?` he who is doing kindness -- `In cheerfulness.`or he who exhorts, to his exhorting: he who gives, let him do it with liberality; he who rules, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
Romans 12:9Let your love be perfectly sincere. Regard with horror what is evil; cling to what is right.The love unfeigned: abhorring the evil; cleaving to the good;Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.
Romans 12:10As for brotherly love, be affectionate to one another; in matters of worldly honour, yield to one another.in the love of brethren, to one another kindly affectioned: in the honour going before one another;In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate one to another; in honor preferring one another;
Romans 12:11Do not be indolent when zeal is required. Be thoroughly warm-hearted, the Lord's own servants,in the diligence not slothful; in the spirit fervent; the Lord serving;not lagging in diligence; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
Romans 12:12full of joyful hope, patient under persecution, earnest and persistent in prayer.in the hope rejoicing; in the tribulation enduring; in the prayer persevering;rejoicing in hope; enduring in oppression; continuing steadfastly in prayer;
Romans 12:13Relieve the necessities of God's people; always practise hospitality.to the necessities of the saints communicating; the hospitality pursuing.contributing to the needs of the saints; given to hospitality.
Romans 12:14Invoke blessings on your persecutors blessings, not curses.Bless those persecuting you; bless, and curse not;Bless those who persecute you; bless, and don't curse.
Romans 12:15Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.to rejoice with the rejoicing, and to weep with the weeping,Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep.
Romans 12:16Have full sympathy with one another. Do not give your mind to high things, but let humble ways content you. Do not be wise in your own conceits.of the same mind one toward another, not minding the high things, but with the lowly going along; become not wise in your own conceit;Be of the same mind one toward another. Don't set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Don't be wise in your own conceits.
Romans 12:17Pay back to no man evil for evil. Take thought for what is right and seemly in every one's esteem.giving back to no one evil for evil; providing right things before all men.Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men.
Romans 12:18If you can, so far as it depends on you, live at peace with all the world.If possible so far as in you with all men being in peace;If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.
Romans 12:19Do not be revengeful, my dear friends, but give way before anger; for it is written, "`Revenge belongs to Me: I will pay back,' says the Lord."not avenging yourselves, beloved, but give place to the wrath, for it hath been written, `Vengeance [is] Mine,Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, "Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord."
Romans 12:20On the contrary, therefore, if your enemy is hungry, give him food; if he is thirsty, quench his thirst. For by doing this you will be heaping burning coals upon his head.I will recompense again, saith the Lord;` if, then, thine enemy doth hunger, feed him; if he doth thirst, give him drink; for this doing, coals of fire thou shalt heap upon his head;Therefore "If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink. For in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head."
Romans 12:21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome the evil with goodness.Be not overcome by the evil, but overcome, in the good, the evil.Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
