| John 16:1 | "These things have I spoken to you, so that you wouldn't be caused to stumble. | These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be caused to stumble. | These things I have spoken unto you that ye may not be offended. |
| John 16:2 | They will put you out of the synagogues. Yes, the time comes that whoever kills you will think that he offers service to God. | They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the hour cometh, that whosoever killeth you shall think that he offereth service unto God. | They shall put you out of the synagogues; but the hour is coming that every one who kills you will think to render service to God; |
| John 16:3 | They will do these things because they have not known the Father, nor me. | And these things will they do, because they have not known the Father, nor me. | and these things they will do because they have not known the Father nor me. |
| John 16:4 | But I have told you these things, so that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you about them. | John 16:7 | Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away, for if I don't go away, the Counselor won't come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. | Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I go, I will send him unto you. | But I say the truth to you, It is profitable for you that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I go I will send him to you. |

| John 16:20 | Most assuredly I tell you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice.
