| Jonah 2:1 | Then Jonah prayed to Yahweh, his God, out of the fish's belly. | Then Jonah prayed unto Jehovah his God out of the fish's belly. | Now the Lord prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonas: and Jonas was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. |
| Jonah 2:2 | He said, "I called because of my affliction to Yahweh. He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried. You heard my voice. | And he said, I called by reason of mine affliction unto Jehovah, And he answered me; Out of the belly of Sheol cried I, [And] thou heardest my voice. | And Jonas prayed to the Lord his God out of the belly of the fish. |
| Jonah 2:3 | For you threw me into the depths, In the heart of the seas. The flood was all around me. All your waves and your billows passed over me. | For thou didst cast me into the depth, in the heart of the seas, And the flood was round about me; All thy waves and thy billows passed over me. | And he said: I cried out of my affliction to the Lord, and he heard me: I cried out of the belly of hell, and thou hast heard my voice. |
| Jonah 2:4 | I said, 'I have been banished from your sight; Yet I will look again toward your holy temple.' | And I said, I am cast out from before thine eyes; Yet I will look again toward thy holy temple. | And thou hast cast me forth into the deep in the heart of the sea, and a flood hath compassed me: all thy billows, and thy waves have passed over me. |
| Jonah 2:5 | The waters surrounded me, Even to the soul. The deep was around me. The weeds were wrapped around my head. | The waters compassed me about, even to the soul; The deep was round about me; The weeds were wrapped about my head. | And I said: I am cast away out of the sight of thy eyes: but yet I shall see thy holy temple again. |

The earth barred me in forever: Yet have you brought up my life from the pit, Yahweh my God. | I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; The earth with its bars [closed] upon me for ever: Yet hast thou brought up my life from the pit, O Jehovah my God. | The waters compassed me about even to the soul: the deep hath closed me round about, the sea hath covered my head. |
| Jonah 2:7 | "When my soul fainted within me, I remembered Yahweh. My prayer came in to you, into your holy temple. | When my soul fainted within me, I remembered Jehovah; And my prayer came in unto thee, into thy holy temple. | I went down to the lowest parts of the mountains: the bars of the earth have shut me up for ever: and thou wilt bring up my life from corruption, O Lord my God. |
| Jonah 2:8 | Those who regard lying vanities forsake their own mercy. | They that regard lying vanities Forsake their own mercy. | When my soul was in distress within me, I remembered the Lord: that my prayer may come to thee, unto thy holy temple. |
| Jonah 2:9 | But I will sacrifice to you with the voice of thanksgiving. I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation belongs to Yahweh." | But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation is of Jehovah. | They that are vain observe vanities, forsake their own mercy. |
| Jonah 2:10 | Yahweh spoke to the fish, and it vomited out Jonah on the dry land. | And Jehovah spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land. | But I with the voice of praise will sacrifice to thee: I will pay whatsoever I have vowed for my salvation to the Lord. |
