| Genesis 15:1 | After these things the word of Yahweh came to Abram in a vision, saying, "Don't be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward." | After these things, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, Have no fear, Abram: I will keep you safe, and great will be your reward. | After these things the word of Jehovah came to Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram; I am thy shield, thy exceeding great reward. |
| Genesis 15:2 | Abram said, "Lord Yahweh, what will you give me, seeing I go childless, and he who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?" | And Abram said, What will you give me? for I have no child and this Eliezer of Damascus will have all my wealth after me. | And Abram said, Lord Jehovah, what wilt thou give me? seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus. |
| Genesis 15:3 | Abram said, "Behold, to me you have given no seed: and, behold, one born in my house is my heir." | And Abram said, You have given me no child, and a servant in my house will get the heritage. | And Abram said, Lo, to me thou hast given no seed, and behold, a son of my house will be mine heir. |
| Genesis 15:4 | Behold, the word of Yahweh came to him, saying, "This man will not be your heir, but he who will come forth out of your own body will be your heir." | Then said the Lord, This man will not get the heritage, but a son of your body will have your property after you. | And behold, the word of Jehovah [came] to him, saying, This shall not be thine heir, but he that will come forth out of thy body shall be thine heir. |

He said to Abram, "So shall your seed be." | And he took him out into the open air, and said to him, Let your eyes be lifted to heaven, and see if the stars may be numbered; even so will your seed be. | And he led him out, and said, Look now toward the heavens, and number the stars, if thou be able to number them. And he said to him, So shall thy seed be! |
