| Genesis 29:1 | Then Jacob went on his journey, and came to the land of the children of the east. | Then Jacob went on his journey till he came to the land of the children of the East. | And Jacob continued his journey, and went into the land of the children of the east. |
| Genesis 29:2 | He looked, and behold, a well in the field, and, behold, three flocks of sheep lying there by it. For out of that well they watered the flocks. The stone on the well's mouth was great. | And there he saw a water-hole in a field, and by the side of it three flocks of sheep, for there they got water for the sheep: and on the mouth of the water-hole there was a great stone. | And he looked, and behold, there was a well in the fields, and behold there, three flocks of sheep were lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks, and a great stone was at the mouth of the well. |
| Genesis 29:3 | There all the flocks were gathered. And they said, He is well, and here is Rachel his daughter coming with the sheep. | And he said to them, Is he well? And they said, [He is] well; and behold, there comes Rachel his daughter with the sheep. |
| Genesis 29:7 | He said, "Behold, it is still the middle of the day, not time to gather the cattle together. Water the sheep, and go and feed them." | Then Jacob said, The sun is still high and it is not time to get the cattle together: get water for the sheep and go and give them their food. | And he said, Behold, it is yet high day; it is not time that the cattle should be gathered together; water the sheep, and go, feed [them]. |

Tell me, what will your wages be?" | Then Laban said to Jacob, Because you are my brother are you to be my servant for nothing? say now, what is your payment to be? | And Laban said to Jacob, Because thou art my brother, shouldest thou serve me for nothing? tell me, what shall be thy wages? |

| Genesis 29:26 | Laban said, "It is not done so in our place, to give the younger before the first born. | And Laban said, In our country we do not let the younger daughter be married before the older. | And Laban said, It is not so done in our place, to give the younger before the firstborn. |
| Genesis 29:27 | Fulfill the week of this one, and we will give you the other also for the service which you will serve with me yet seven other years." | Let the week of the bride-feast come to its end and then we will give you the other in addition, if you will be my servant for another seven years. | Fulfil the week [with] this one: then we will give thee the other one also, for the service that thou shalt serve me yet seven other years. |
