John 2:1The third day, there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee. Jesus' mother was there.On the third day two people were going to be married at Cana in Galilee. The mother of Jesus was there:And the third day a marriage happened in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there,
John 2:2Jesus also was invited, with his disciples, to the marriage.And Jesus with his disciples came as guests.and also Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage;
John 2:3When the wine ran out, Jesus' Mother said to him, "They have no wine."When they had not enough wine, the mother of Jesus said to him, They have no wine.and wine having failed, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, `Wine they have not;`
John 2:4Jesus said to her, "Woman, what does that have to do with you and me? My hour has not yet come."Jesus said to her, Woman, this is not your business; my time is still to come.Jesus saith to her, `What to me and to thee, woman? not yet is mine hour come.`
John 2:5His mother said to the servants, "Whatever he says to you, do it."His mother said to the servants, Whatever he says to you, do it.His mother saith to the ministrants, `Whatever he may say to you do.`
John 2:6Now there were six water pots of stone set there after the Jews' manner of purifying, containing two or three metretes apiece.Now six pots of stone, every one taking two or three firkins of water, were placed there for the purpose of washing, as is the way of the Jews.And there were there six water-jugs of stone, placed according to the purifying of the Jews, holding each two or three measures.
John 2:7Jesus said to them, "Fill the water pots with water." They filled them up to the brim.Jesus said to the servants, Make the pots full of water. And they made them full to the top.Jesus saith to them, `Fill the water-jugs with water;` and they filled them unto the brim;
John 2:8He said to them, "Now draw some out, and take it to the ruler of the feast." They took it.Then he said to them, Now take some, and give it to the master of the feast. So they took it to him.and he saith to them, `Draw out, now, and bear to the director of the apartment;` and they bare.
John 2:9When the ruler of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and didn't know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the ruler of the feast called the bridegroom,After tasting the water which had now become wine, the master of the feast (having no idea where it came from, though it was clear to the servants who took the water out) sent for the newly-married man,And as the director of the apartment tasted the water become wine, and knew not whence it is, (but the ministrants knew, who have drawn the water,) the director of the feast doth call the bridegroom,
John 2:10and said to him, "Everyone serves the good wine first, and when the guests have drunk freely, then that which is worse. You have kept the good wine until now!"And said to him, Every man first puts out his best wine and when all have had enough he puts out what is not so good; but you have kept the good wine till now.and saith to him, `Every man, at first, the good wine doth set forth; and when they may have drunk freely, then the inferior; thou didst keep the good wine till now.`
John 2:11This beginning of his signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory. His disciples believed in him.This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee and let his glory be seen openly; and his disciples put their faith in him.This beginning of the signs did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory, and his disciples believed in him;
John 2:12After this, he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, his brothers, and his disciples; and there they stayed not many days.After this he went down to Capernaum, with his mother, his brothers, and his disciples, and they were there not more than two or three days.after this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples; and there they remained not many days.
John 2:13The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.The time of the Passover of the Jews was near and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.And the passover of the Jews was nigh, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,
John 2:14He found in the temple those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, and the changers of money sitting.And there in the Temple he saw men trading in oxen and sheep and doves, and he saw the changers of money in their seats:and he found in the temple those selling oxen, and sheep, and doves, and the money-changers sitting,
John 2:15He made a whip of cords, and threw all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers' money, and overthrew their tables.And he made a whip of small cords and put them all out of the Temple, with the sheep and the oxen, sending in all directions the small money of the changers and overturning their tables;and having made a whip of small cords, he put all forth out of the temple, also the sheep, and the oxen; and of the money-changers he poured out the coins, and the tables he overthrew,
John 2:16To those who sold the doves, he said, "Take these things out of here! Don't make my Father's house a marketplace!"And to those who were trading in doves he said, Take these things away; do not make my Father's house a market.and to those selling the doves he said, `Take these things hence; make not the house of my Father a house of merchandise.`
John 2:17His disciples remembered that it was written, "Zeal for your house will eat me up."And it came to the minds of the disciples that the Writings say, I am on fire with passion for your house.And his disciples remembered that it is written, `The zeal of Thy house did eat me up;`
John 2:18The Jews therefore answered him, "What sign do you show to us, seeing that you do these things?"Then the Jews put this question to him: What sign of authority have you to give us, seeing that you do these things?the Jews then answered and said to him, `What sign dost thou shew to us that thou dost these things?`
John 2:19Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."And Jesus said to them, Send destruction on this Temple and I will put it up again in three days.Jesus answered and said to them, `Destroy this sanctuary, and in three days I will raise it up.`
John 2:20The Jews therefore said, "Forty-six years was this temple in building, and will you raise it up in three days?"The Jews said, The building of this Temple took forty-six years; and you will put it up in three days!The Jews, therefore, said, `Forty and six years was this sanctuary building, and wilt thou in three days raise it up?`
John 2:21But he spoke of the temple of his body.But his words were about that holy building which was his body.but he spake concerning the sanctuary of his body;
John 2:22When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he said this, and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.So when he had come back again from the dead, the memory of these words came back to the disciples, and they had faith in the holy Writings and in the word which Jesus had said.when, then, he was raised out of the dead, his disciples remembered that he said this to them, and they believed the Writing, and the word that Jesus said.
John 2:23Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in his name, observing his signs which he did.Now while he was in Jerusalem at the feast of the Passover, a great number of people came to have faith in his name, after seeing the signs which he did.And as he was in Jerusalem, in the passover, in the feast, many believed in his name, beholding his signs that he was doing;
John 2:24But Jesus didn't trust himself to them, because he knew all people,But Jesus did not have faith in them, because he had knowledge of them all.and Jesus himself was not trusting himself to them, because of his knowing all [men],
John 2:25and because he didn't need for anyone to testify concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.He had no need for any witness about man; for he himself had knowledge of what was in man.and because he had no need that any should testify concerning man, for he himself was knowing what was in man.
