Acts 10:1 | Now there was a certain man in Caesarea, Cornelius by name, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment, | But a certain man in Caesarea, by name Cornelius, a centurion of the band called Italic, | Now there was a certain man in Caesarea, named Cornelius, the captain of the Italian band of the army; |
Acts 10:2 | a devout man, and one who feared God with all his house, who gave alms generously to the people, and always prayed to God. | pious, and fearing God with all his house, [both] giving much alms to the people, and supplicating God continually, | A serious-minded man, fearing God with all his family; he gave much money to the poor, and made prayer to God at all times. |

Acts 10:10 | He became hungry, and desired to eat, but while they were preparing, he fell into a trance. | And he became hungry and desired to eat. But as they were making ready an ecstasy came upon him: | And he was in need of food: but while they were getting it ready, a deep sleep came on him; |
Acts 10:11 | He saw heaven opened, and a certain container descending to him, like a great sheet, let down by four corners on the earth, | and he beholds the heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending, as a great sheet, [bound] by [the] four corners [and] let down to the earth; | And he saw the heavens opening, and a vessel coming down, like a great cloth let down on the earth, |
Acts 10:12 | in which were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild animals, reptiles, and birds of the sky. | in which were all the quadrupeds and creeping things of the earth, and the fowls of the heaven. | In which were all sorts of beasts and birds. |
Acts 10:13 | A voice came to him, "Rise, Peter, kill and eat!" | And there was a voice to him, Rise, Peter, slay and eat. | And a voice came to him, saying, Come, Peter; take them for food. |

Acts 10:15 | A voice came to him again the second time, "What God has cleansed, you must not make unholy." | And [there was] a voice again the second time to him, What God has cleansed, do not *thou* make common. | And the voice came to him a second time, What God has made clean, do not you make common. |
Acts 10:16 | This was done three times, and immediately the vessel was received up into heaven. | And this took place thrice, and the vessel was straightway taken up into heaven. | And this was done three times: and then the vessel was taken back into heaven. |
Acts 10:17 | Now while Peter was very perplexed in himself what the vision which he had seen might mean, behold, the men who were sent by Cornelius, having made inquiry for Simon's house, stood before the gate, | And as Peter doubted in himself what the vision which he had seen might mean, behold also the men who were sent by Cornelius, having sought out the house of Simon, stood at the gate, | Now while Peter was in doubt as to the purpose of this vision, the men who were sent by Cornelius, having made search for Simon's house, came to the door, |
Acts 10:18 | and called and asked whether Simon, who was surnamed Peter, was lodging there. | and having called [some one], they inquired if Simon who was surnamed Peter was lodged there. | To see if Simon, named Peter, was living there. |
Acts 10:19 | While Peter thought about the vision, the Spirit said to him, "Behold, three men seek you. | But as Peter continued pondering over the vision, the Spirit said to him, Behold, three men seek thee; | And, while Peter was turning the vision over in his mind, the Spirit said to him, See, three men are looking for you. |
Acts 10:20 | But arise, get down, and go with them, doubting nothing; for I have sent them." | but rise up, go down, and go with them, nothing doubting, because *I* have sent them. | Go down, then, and go with them, doubting nothing, for I have sent them. |
Acts 10:21 | Peter went down to the men, and said, "Behold, I am he whom you seek. Why have you come?" | And Peter going down to the men said, Behold, *I* am he whom ye seek: what is the cause for which ye come? | And Peter went down to the men, and said, I am the man you are looking for: why have you come? |
Acts 10:22 | They said, "Cornelius a centurion, a righteous man and one who fears God, and well spoken of by all the nation of the Jews, was directed by a holy angel to invite you to his house, and to listen to what you say. | And they said, Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous man, and fearing God, and borne witness to by the whole nation of the Jews, has been divinely instructed by a holy angel to send for thee to his house, and hear words from thee. | And they said, Cornelius, a captain, an upright and God-fearing man, respected by all the nation of the Jews, had word from God by an angel to send for you to his house, and to give hearing to your words. |
Acts 10:23 | So he called them in and lodged them. On the next day Peter arose and went out with them, and some of the brothers from Joppa accompanied him. | Having therefore invited them in, he lodged them. And on the morrow, rising up he went away with them, and certain of the brethren from Joppa went with him. | So he took them in for the night. And the day after, he went with them, taking some of the brothers from Joppa with him. |
Acts 10:24 | On the next day they entered into Caesarea. Cornelius was waiting for them, having called together his relatives and his near friends. | And on the morrow they came to Caesarea. But Cornelius was looking for them, having called together his kinsmen and [his] intimate friends. | And the day after that, they came to Caesarea. And Cornelius was waiting for them, having got together his relations and his near friends. |
Acts 10:25 | When it happened that Peter entered, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him. | And when Peter was now coming in, Cornelius met him, and falling down did [him] homage. | And when Peter came in, Cornelius came to him and, falling down at his feet, gave him worship. |
Acts 10:26 | But Peter raised him up, saying, "Stand up! I myself am also a man." | But Peter made him rise, saying, Rise up: *I* myself also am a man. | But Peter, lifting him up, said, Get up, for I am a man as you are. |
Acts 10:27 | As he talked with him, he went in, and found many come together. | And he went in, talking with him, and found many gathered together. | And saying these words, he went in, and saw that a great number of people had come together; |
Acts 10:28 | He said to them, "You yourselves know how it is an unlawful thing for a man who is a Jew to join himself or come to one of another nation, but God has shown me that I shouldn't call any man unholy or unclean. | And he said to them, *Ye* know how it is unlawful for a Jew to be joined or come to one of a strange race, and to *me* God has shewn to call no man common or unclean. | And he said to them, You yourselves have knowledge that it is against the law for a man who is a Jew to be in the company of one who is of another nation; but God has made it clear to me that no man may be named common or unclean: |
Acts 10:29 | Therefore also I came without complaint when I was sent for. I ask therefore, why did you send for me?" | Wherefore also, having been sent for, I came without saying anything against it. I inquire therefore for what reason ye have sent for me. | And so I came without question, when I was sent for. What then is your purpose in sending for me? |
Acts 10:30 | Cornelius said, "Four days ago, I was fasting until this hour, and at the ninth hour, I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing, | And Cornelius said, Four days ago I had been [fasting] unto this hour, and the ninth [I was] praying in my house, and lo, a man stood before me in bright clothing, | And Cornelius said, Four days from now I was in my house in prayer at the ninth hour; and I saw before me a man in shining clothing, |
Acts 10:31 | and said, 'Cornelius, your prayer is heard, and your alms are remembered in the sight of God. | and said, Cornelius, thy prayer has been heard, and thy alms have come in remembrance before God. | Who said, Cornelius, your prayer has come to the ears of God, and your offerings are kept in his memory. |
Acts 10:32 | Send therefore to Joppa, and call to you Simon, who is surnamed Peter. He lodges in the house of Simon a tanner, by the seaside. When he comes, he will speak to you.' | Send therefore to Joppa and fetch Simon, who is surnamed Peter; he lodges in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea [who when he is come will speak to thee]. | Send, then, to Joppa, and get Simon, named Peter, to come to you; he is living in the house of Simon, a leather-worker, by the sea. |
Acts 10:33 | Therefore I sent to you at once, and it was good of you to come. Now therefore we are all here present in the sight of God to hear all things that have been commanded you by God." | Immediately therefore I sent to thee, and *thou* hast well done in coming. Now therefore *we* are all present before God to hear all things that are commanded thee of God. | So, straight away, I sent for you; and you have done well to come. And now, we are all present before God, ready to give attention to all the things which the Lord has given you to say. |
Acts 10:34 | Peter opened his mouth and said, "Truly I perceive that God doesn't show favoritism, | And Peter opening his mouth said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons, | Then Peter said, Truly, I see clearly that God is no respecter of persons: |
Acts 10:35 | but in every nation he who fears him, and works righteousness, is acceptable to him. | but in every nation he that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him. | But in every nation, the man who has fear of him and does righteousness is pleasing to him. |
Acts 10:36 | The word which he sent to the children of Israel, preaching good news of peace by Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all): | The word which he sent to the sons of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ, (*he* is Lord of all things,) | The word which he sent to the children of Israel, giving the good news of peace through Jesus Christ (who is Lord of all) |

Acts 10:47 | "Can any man forbid the water, that these who have received the Holy Spirit as well as we should not be baptized,?" | Can any one forbid water that these should not be baptised, who have received the Holy Spirit as we also [did]? | Will any man say that these may not have baptism who have been given the Holy Spirit as we have? |
Acts 10:48 | He commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay some days. | And he commanded them to be baptised in the name of the Lord. Then they begged him to stay some days. | And he gave orders for them to have baptism in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they kept him with them for some days. |
