You know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but you can't discern the signs of the times.and in the morning, A storm to-day, for the sky is red [and] lowering; ye know [how] to discern the face of the sky, but ye cannot the signs of the times. And in the morning, The weather will be bad today, for the sky is red and angry. You are able to see the face of heaven, but not the signs of the times.
Matthew 16:4An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and there will be no sign given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah." He left them, and departed.A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and a sign shall not be given to it save the sign of Jonas. And he left them and went away.An evil and false generation is searching after a sign; and no sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah. And he went away from them.
Matthew 16:5The disciples came to the other side and forgot to take bread. And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread. And when the disciples came to the other side they had not taken thought to get bread.

Matthew 16:8Jesus, perceiving it, said, "Why do you reason among yourselves, you of little faith, 'because you have brought no bread?'And Jesus knowing [it], said, Why reason ye among yourselves, O ye of little faith, because ye have taken no bread? And Jesus, seeing it, said, O you of little faith, why are you reasoning among yourselves, because you have no bread?
Matthew 16:9Don't you yet perceive, neither remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you took up?Do ye not yet understand nor remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many hand-baskets ye took [up]?Do you still not see, or keep in mind the five cakes of bread of the five thousand, and the number of baskets you took up?
Matthew 16:10Nor the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many baskets you took up?nor the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took [up]?Or the seven cakes of bread of the four thousand, and the number of baskets you took up?
Matthew 16:11How is it that you don't perceive that I didn't speak to you concerning bread? But beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees."How do ye not understand that [it was] not concerning bread I said to you, Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees? How is it that you do not see that I was not talking to you about bread, but about keeping away from the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees?
Matthew 16:12Then they understood that he didn't tell them to beware of the yeast of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees. Then they comprehended that he did not speak of being beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees. Then they saw that it was not the leaven of bread which he had in mind, but the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Matthew 16:13Now when Jesus came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, "Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am ?"But when Jesus was come into the parts of Caesarea-Philippi, he demanded of his disciples, saying, Who do men say that I the Son of man am?Now when Jesus had come into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, he said, questioning his disciples, Who do men say that the Son of man is?

Matthew 16:18I also tell you, that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.And *I* also, I say unto thee that *thou* art Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and hades' gates shall not prevail against it.And I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock will my church be based, and the doors of hell will not overcome it.

Matthew 16:20Then he charged the disciples that they should tell no man that he was the Christ. Then he enjoined on his disciples that they should say to no man that he was the Christ. Then he gave orders to the disciples to give no man word that he was the Christ.
Matthew 16:21From that time, Jesus began to show to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up.From that time Jesus began to shew to his disciples that he must go away to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised. From that time Jesus went on to make clear to his disciples how he would have to go up to Jerusalem, and undergo much at the hands of those in authority and the chief priests and scribes, and be put to death, and the third day come again from the dead.

You are a stumbling-block to me, for you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but the things of men."But turning round, he said to Peter, Get away behind me, Satan; thou art an offence to me, for thy mind is not on the things that are of God, but on the things that are of men.But he, turning to Peter, said, Get out of my way, Satan: you are a danger to me because your mind is not on the things of God, but on the things of men.

Matthew 16:25For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life for my sake will find it.For whosoever shall desire to save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake shall find it.Because whoever has a desire to keep his life safe will have it taken from him; but whoever gives up his life because of me, will have it given back to him.
Matthew 16:26For what will it profit a man, if he will gain the whole world, and forfeit his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life? For what does a man profit, if he should gain the whole world and suffer the loss of his soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For what profit has a man, if he gets all the world with the loss of his life? or what will a man give in exchange for his life?
