Titus 2:1But say the things which fit the sound doctrine,But do *thou* speak the things that become sound teaching;But speak thou the things that become sound doctrine:
Titus 2:2that older men should be temperate, sensible, sober-minded, sound in faith, in love, and in patience:that the elder men be sober, grave, discreet, sound in faith, in love, in patience;That the aged men be sober, chaste, prudent, sound in faith, in love, in patience.
Titus 2:3and that older women likewise be reverent in behavior, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good;that the elder women in like manner be in deportment as becoming those who have to say to sacred things, not slanderers, not enslaved to much wine, teachers of what is right;The aged women, in like manner, in holy attire, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teaching well:
Titus 2:4that they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,that they may admonish the young women to be attached to [their] husbands, to be attached to [their] children,That they may teach the young women to be wise, to love their husbands, to love their children,
Titus 2:5to be sober-minded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that God's word may not be blasphemed.discreet, chaste, diligent in home work, good, subject to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be evil spoken of.To be discreet, chaste, sober, having a care of the house, gentle, obedient to their husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
Titus 2:6Likewise, exhort the younger men to be sober-minded;The younger men in like manner exhort to be discreet:Young men, in like manner, exhort that they be sober.
Titus 2:7in all things showing yourself an example of good works; in your teaching showing integrity, seriousness, incorruptibility,in all things affording thyself as a pattern of good works; in teaching uncorruptedness, gravity,In all things shew thyself an example of good works, in doctrine, in integrity, in gravity,
Titus 2:8and soundness of speech that can't be condemned; that he who opposes you may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say about us.a sound word, not to be condemned; that he who is opposed may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say about us:The sound word that can not be blamed: that he, who is on the contrary part, may be afraid, having no evil to say of us.
Titus 2:9Exhort servants to be in subjection to their own masters, and to be well-pleasing in all things; not contradicting;bondmen to be subject to their own masters, to make themselves acceptable in everything; not gainsaying;Exhort servants to be obedient to their masters, in all things pleasing, not gainsaying:
Titus 2:10not stealing, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God, our Savior, in all things.not robbing [their masters], but shewing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the teaching which [is] of our Saviour God in all things.Not defrauding, but in all things shewing good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things:
Titus 2:11For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,For the grace of God which carries with it salvation for all men has appeared,For the grace of God our Savior hath appeared to all men;
Titus 2:12instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world;teaching us that, having denied impiety and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, and justly, and piously in the present course of things,Instructing us, that, denying ungodliness and worldly desires, we should live soberly, and justly, and godly in this world,
Titus 2:13looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of the great God and our Savior, Jesus Christ;awaiting the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ;Looking for the blessed hope and coming of the glory of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ,
Titus 2:14who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all lawlessness, and purify to himself a peculiar people, zealous for good works.Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and might cleanse to himself a people acceptable, a pursuer of good works.
Titus 2:15Say these things and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no man despise you.These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise thee.These things speak, and exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
