1st-Peter 5:1I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and who will also share in the glory that will be revealed.The elders which [are] among you I exhort, who [am their] fellow-elder and witness of the sufferings of the Christ, who also [am] partaker of the glory about to be revealed:The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
1st-Peter 5:2Tend the flock of God which is among you, exercising the oversight, not under compulsion, but voluntarily, not for dishonest gain, but willingly;shepherd the flock of God which [is] among you, exercising oversight, not by necessity, but willingly; not for base gain, but readily;Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
1st-Peter 5:3neither as lording it over the charge allotted to you, but making yourselves examples to the flock.not as lording it over your possessions, but being models for the flock.Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
1st-Peter 5:4When the chief Shepherd will be revealed, you will receive the crown of glory that doesn't fade away.And when the chief shepherd is manifested ye shall receive the unfading crown of glory.And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
1st-Peter 5:5Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you gird yourselves with humility, to subject yourselves to one another; for "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."Likewise [ye] younger, be subject to [the] elder, and all of you bind on humility towards one another; for God sets himself against [the] proud, but to [the] humble gives grace.Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
1st-Peter 5:6Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time;Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in [the due] time;Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
1st-Peter 5:7casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.having cast all your care upon him, for he cares about you.Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1st-Peter 5:8Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.Be vigilant, watch. Your adversary [the] devil as a roaring lion walks about seeking whom he may devour.Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
1st-Peter 5:9Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings.Whom resist, stedfast in faith, knowing that the selfsame sufferings are accomplished in your brotherhood which [is] in [the] world.Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
1st-Peter 5:10But may the God of all grace (who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus), after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.But the God of all grace who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, when ye have suffered for a little while, himself shall make perfect, stablish, strengthen, ground:But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
1st-Peter 5:11To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.to him [be] the glory and the might for the ages of the ages. Amen.To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
1st-Peter 5:12Through Silvanus, our faithful brother, as I consider him, I have written to you briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God in which you stand.By Silvanus, the faithful brother, as I suppose, I have written to you briefly; exhorting and testifying that this is [the] true grace of God in which ye stand.By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.
1st-Peter 5:13She who is in Babylon, elect together with you, greets you; and so does Mark, my son.She that is elected with [you] in Babylon salutes you, and Marcus my son.The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son.
1st-Peter 5:14Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace be to you all who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.Salute one another with a kiss of love. Peace be with you all who [are] in Christ.Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.
