Numbers 12:1 | Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married; for he had married a Cushite woman. | And Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had taken; for he had taken a Cushite as wife. | And Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married: for he had married a Cushite woman. |
Numbers 12:2 | They said, Has Yahweh indeed spoken only with Moses? Hasn't he spoken also with us? Yahweh heard it. | And they said, Has Jehovah indeed spoken only to Moses? has he not spoken also to us? And Jehovah heard it. | And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoke only by Moses? hath he not spoke also by us? And the LORD heard it. |
Numbers 12:3 | Now the man Moses was very humble, above all the men who were on the surface of the earth. | But the man Moses was very meek, above all men that were upon the face of the earth. | (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men who were upon the face of the earth.) |
Numbers 12:4 | Yahweh spoke suddenly to Moses, and to Aaron, and to Miriam, Come out you three to the tent of meeting. Numbers 12:7 | My servant Moses is not so; he is faithful in all my house: | Not so my servant Moses: he is faithful in all my house. | My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all my house. |
Numbers 12:8 | with him will I speak mouth to mouth, even manifestly, and not in dark speeches; and the form of Yahweh shall he see: why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses? | Mouth to mouth do I speak to him openly, and not in riddles; and the form of Jehovah doth he behold. Why then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses? | With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: why then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? |
Numbers 12:9 | The anger of Yahweh was kindled against them; and he departed. | And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against them, and he went away; | And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed. |
Numbers 12:10 | The cloud removed from over the Tent; and, behold, Miriam was leprous, as [white as] snow: and Aaron looked at Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous. | and the cloud departed from off the tent. And behold, Miriam was leprous as snow; and Aaron turned toward Miriam, and behold, she was leprous. | And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and behold, she was leprous. |
Numbers 12:11 | Aaron said to Moses, Oh, my lord, please don't lay sin on us, for that we have done foolishly, and for that we have sinned. | Then Aaron said to Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not this sin upon us, wherein we have been foolish, and have sinned! | And Aaron said to Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, in which we have done foolishly, and in which we have sinned. |
Numbers 12:12 | Let her not, I pray, be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb. | Let her not be as one stillborn, half of whose flesh is consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb. | Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed at the time of his birth. |
Numbers 12:13 | Moses cried to Yahweh, saying, Heal her, God, I beg you. | And Moses cried to Jehovah, saying, O ùGod, heal her, I beseech thee! | And Moses cried to the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee. |
Numbers 12:14 | Yahweh said to Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, shouldn't she be ashamed seven days? let her be shut up outside of the camp seven days, and after that she shall be brought in again. | And Jehovah said to Moses, But had her father anyways spat in her face, should she not be shamed seven days? She shall be shut outside the camp seven days, and afterwards she shall be received in [again]. | And the LORD said to Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received again. |
Numbers 12:15 | Miriam was shut up outside of the camp seven days: and the people didn't travel until Miriam was brought in again. | And Miriam was shut outside the camp seven days; and the people did not journey till Miriam was received in [again]. | And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again. |
