Genesis 28:1 | Isaac called Jacob, blessed him, and commanded him, "You shall not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan. | And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, saying: Take not a wife of the stock of Chanaan: | And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said to him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan. |
Genesis 28:2 | Arise, go to Paddan-aram, to the house of Bethuel your mother's father. Take a wife from there from the daughters of Laban, your mother's brother. | But go, and take a journey to Mesopotamia of Syria, to the house of Bathuel thy mother's father, and take thee a wife thence of the daughters of Laban thy uncle. | Arise, go to Padan-aram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother's father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother's brother. |

Genesis 28:4 | and give you the blessing of Abraham, to you, and to your seed with you, that you may inherit the land where you travel, which God gave to Abraham." | And give the blessings of Abrabam to thee, and to thy seed after thee: that thou mayst possess the land of thy sojournment, which he promised to thy grandfather. | And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land in which thou art a stranger, which God gave to Abraham. |
Genesis 28:5 | Isaac sent Jacob away. Genesis 28:6 | Now Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob and sent him away to Paddan-aram, to take him a wife from there, and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, "You shall not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan," | And Esau seeing that his father had blessed Jacob, and had sent him into Mesopotamia of Syria, to marry a wife thence; and that after the blessing he had charged him, saying: Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Chanaan: | When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padan-aram, to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him, he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan; |
Genesis 28:7 | and that Jacob obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Paddan-aram. | And that Jacob obeying his parents was gone into Syria: | And that Jacob obeyed his father, and his mother, and was gone to Padan-aram; |
Genesis 28:8 | Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan didn't please Isaac, his father. | Experiencing also that his father was not well pleased with the daughters of Chanaan: | And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father; |
Genesis 28:9 | Esau went to Ishmael, and took, besides the wives that he had, Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael, Abraham's son, the sister of Nebaioth, to be his wife. | He went to Ismael, and took to wife, besides them he had before, Maheleth the daughter of Ismael, Abraham's son, the sister of Nabajoth. | Then went Esau to Ishmael, and took to the wives which he had, Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham's son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife. |

He took one of the stones of the place, and put it under his head, and lay down in that place to sleep. | And when he was come to a certain place, and would rest in it after sunset, he took of the stones that lay there, and putting under his head, slept in the same place. | And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set: and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. |

Genesis 28:13 | Behold, Yahweh stood above it, and said, "I am Yahweh, the God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac. The land whereon you lie, to you will I give it, and to your seed. | And the Lord leaning upon the ladder, saying to him: I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac; the land, wherein thou sleepest, I will give to thee and to thy seed. | And behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land on which thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed. |
Genesis 28:14 | Your seed will be as the dust of the earth, and you will spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south. Genesis 28:15 | Behold, I am with you, and will keep you, wherever you go, and will bring you again into this land.
