Jonah 2:1Then Jonah prayed to Yahweh, his God, out of the fish's belly. Now the Lord prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonas: and Jonas was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God out of the fish's belly,
Jonah 2:2He said, "I called because of my affliction to Yahweh. He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried. You heard my voice. And Jonas prayed to the Lord his God out of the belly of the fish. And said, I cried by reason of my affliction to the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardst my voice.
Jonah 2:3For you threw me into the depths, In the heart of the seas. The flood was all around me. All your waves and your billows passed over me.And he said: I cried out of my affliction to the Lord, and he heard me: I cried out of the belly of hell, and thou hast heard my voice. For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods encompassed me: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
Jonah 2:4I said, 'I have been banished from your sight; Yet I will look again toward your holy temple.'And thou hast cast me forth into the deep in the heart of the sea, and a flood hath compassed me: all thy billows, and thy waves have passed over me.Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again towards thy holy temple.
Jonah 2:5The waters surrounded me, Even to the soul. The deep was around me. The weeds were wrapped around my head. And I said: I am cast away out of the sight of thy eyes: but yet I shall see thy holy temple again. The waters encompassed me, even to the soul: the depth inclosed me on every side, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
Jonah 2:6I went down to the bottoms of the mountains. The earth barred me in forever: Yet have you brought up my life from the pit, Yahweh my God.The waters compassed me about even to the soul: the deep hath closed me round about, the sea hath covered my head.I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.
Jonah 2:7"When my soul fainted within me, I remembered Yahweh. My prayer came in to you, into your holy temple.I went down to the lowest parts of the mountains: the bars of the earth have shut me up for ever: and thou wilt bring up my life from corruption, O Lord my God.When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came to thee, into thy holy temple.
Jonah 2:8Those who regard lying vanities forsake their own mercy. When my soul was in distress within me, I remembered the Lord: that my prayer may come to thee, unto thy holy temple. They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
Jonah 2:9But I will sacrifice to you with the voice of thanksgiving. I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation belongs to Yahweh."They that are vain observe vanities, forsake their own mercy. But I will sacrifice to thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.
Jonah 2:10Yahweh spoke to the fish, and it vomited out Jonah on the dry land. But I with the voice of praise will sacrifice to thee: I will pay whatsoever I have vowed for my salvation to the Lord. And the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
