1st-Peter 5:1I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and who will also share in the glory that will be revealed.The ancients therefore that are among you, I beseech, who am myself also an ancient, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ: as also a partaker of that glory which is to be revealed in time to come:Elders who [are] among you, I exhort, who [am] a fellow-elder, and a witness of the sufferings of the Christ, and of the glory about to be revealed a partaker,
1st-Peter 5:2Tend the flock of God which is among you, exercising the oversight, not under compulsion, but voluntarily, not for dishonest gain, but willingly;Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking care of it, not by constraint, but willingly, according to God: not for filthy lucre's sake, but voluntarily:feed the flock of God that [is] among you, overseeing not constrainedly, but willingly, neither for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind,
1st-Peter 5:3neither as lording it over the charge allotted to you, but making yourselves examples to the flock.Neither as lording it over the clergy, but being made a pattern of the flock from the heart.neither as exercising lordship over the heritages, but patterns becoming of the flock,
1st-Peter 5:4When the chief Shepherd will be revealed, you will receive the crown of glory that doesn't fade away.And when the prince of pastors shall appear, you shall receive a never fading crown of glory.and at the manifestation of the chief Shepherd, ye shall receive the unfading crown of glory.
1st-Peter 5:5Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you gird yourselves with humility, to subject yourselves to one another; for "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."In like manner, ye young men, be subject to the ancients. And do you all insinuate humility one to another, for God resisteth the proud, but to the humble he giveth grace.In like manner, ye younger, be subject to elders, and all to one another subjecting yourselves; with humble-mindedness clothe yourselves, because God the proud doth resist, but to the humble He doth give grace;
1st-Peter 5:6Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time;Be you humbled therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in the time of visitation:be humbled, then, under the powerful hand of God, that you He may exalt in good time,
1st-Peter 5:7casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.Casting all your care upon him, for he hath care of you.all your care having cast upon Him, because He careth for you.
1st-Peter 5:8Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.Be sober and watch: because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, goeth about seeking whom he may devour.Be sober, vigilant, because your opponent the devil, as a roaring lion, doth walk about, seeking whom he may swallow up,
1st-Peter 5:9Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings.Whom resist ye, strong in faith: knowing that the same affliction befalls your brethren who are in the world.whom resist, stedfast in the faith, having known the same sufferings to your brotherhood in the world to be accomplished.
1st-Peter 5:10But may the God of all grace (who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus), after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.But the God of all grace, who hath called us into his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, will himself perfect you, and confirm you, and establish you.And the God of all grace, who did call you to His age-during glory in Christ Jesus, having suffered a little, Himself make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle [you];
1st-Peter 5:11To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.To him be glory and empire for ever and ever. Amen.to Him [is] the glory, and the power to the ages and the ages! Amen.
1st-Peter 5:12Through Silvanus, our faithful brother, as I consider him, I have written to you briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God in which you stand.By Sylvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I think, I have written briefly: beseeching and testifying that this is the true grace of God, wherein you stand.Through Silvanus, to you the faithful brother, as I reckon, through few [words] I did write, exhorting and testifying this to be the true grace of God in which ye have stood.
1st-Peter 5:13She who is in Babylon, elect together with you, greets you; and so does Mark, my son.The church that is in Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you: and so doth my son Mark.Salute you doth the [assembly] in Babylon jointly elected, and Markus my son.
1st-Peter 5:14Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace be to you all who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.Salute one another with a holy kiss. Grace be to all you, who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.Salute ye one another in a kiss of love; peace to you all who [are] in Christ Jesus! Amen.
