Matthew 13:1On that day Jesus went out of the house, and sat by the seaside.The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side. And that [same] day Jesus went out from the house and sat down by the sea.
Matthew 13:2Great multitudes gathered to him, so that he entered into a boat, and sat, and all the multitude stood on the beach.And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. And great crowds were gathered together to him, so that going on board ship himself he sat down, and the whole crowd stood on the shore.
Matthew 13:3He spoke to them many things in parables, saying, "Behold, the farmer went forth to sow.And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; And he spoke to them many things in parables, saying, Behold, the sower went out to sow:
Matthew 13:4As he sowed, some seeds fell by the roadside, and the birds came and devoured them.And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: and as he sowed, some [grains] fell along the way, and the birds came and devoured them;
Matthew 13:5Others fell on rocky ground, where they didn't have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, because they had no deepness of earth.Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: and others fell upon the rocky places where they had not much earth, and immediately they sprang up out of [the ground] because of not having [any] depth of earth,
Matthew 13:6When the sun had risen, they were scorched. Because they had no root, they withered away.And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. but when the sun rose they were burned up, and because of not having [any] root were dried up;
Matthew 13:7Others fell on thorns. The thorns grew up and choked them:And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: and others fell upon the thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them;
Matthew 13:8and others fell on good soil, and yielded fruit: some one hundred times, some sixty, and some thirty.But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. and others fell upon the good ground, and produced fruit, one a hundred, one sixty, and one thirty.
Matthew 13:9He who has ears to hear, let him hear."Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. He that has ears, let him hear.
Matthew 13:10The disciples came, and said to him, "Why do you speak to them in parables?"And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? And the disciples came up and said to him, Why speakest thou to them in parables?
Matthew 13:11He answered them, "To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them.He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. And he answering said to them, Because to you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of the heavens, but to them it is not given;
Matthew 13:12For whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have abundance, but whoever doesn't have, from him will be taken away even that which he has.For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. for whoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall be caused to be in abundance; but he who has not, even what he has shall be taken away from him.
Matthew 13:13Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they don't see, and hearing, they don't hear, neither do they understand.Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. For this cause I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear nor understand;
Matthew 13:14In them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says, 'By hearing you will hear, and will in no way understand; Seeing you will see, and will in no way perceive:And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: and in them is filled up the prophecy of Esaias, which says, Hearing ye shall hear and shall not understand, and beholding ye shall behold and not see;
Matthew 13:15For this people's heart has grown callous, Their ears are dull of hearing, Their eyes they have closed; Or else perhaps they might perceive with their eyes, Hear with their ears, Understand with their heart, And should turn again; And I would heal them.'For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. for the heart of this people has grown fat, and they have heard heavily with their ears, and they have closed their eyes as asleep, lest they should see with the eyes, and hear with the ears, and understand with the heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
Matthew 13:16"But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. But blessed are *your* eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear;
Matthew 13:17For most assuredly I tell you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which you see, and didn't see them; and to hear the things which you hear, and didn't hear them.For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. for verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous [men] have desired to see the things which ye behold and did not see [them], and to hear the things which ye hear and did not hear [them].

Matthew 13:19When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and doesn't understand it, the evil one comes, and snatches away that which has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown by the roadside.When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. From every one who hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand [it], the wicked one comes and catches away what was sown in his heart: this is he that is sown by the wayside.
Matthew 13:20What was sown on the rocky places, this is he who hears the word, and immediately with joy receives it;But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; But he that is sown on the rocky places this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy,
Matthew 13:21yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. but has no root in himself, but is for a time only; and when tribulation or persecution happens on account of the word, he is immediately offended.
Matthew 13:22What was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. And he that is sown among the thorns this is he who hears the word, and the anxious care of this life, and the deceit of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

Matthew 13:29But he said, 'No, lest perhaps while you gather up the darnel, you root up the wheat with them.But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. But he said, No; lest [in] gathering the darnel ye should root up the wheat with it.
Matthew 13:30Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the harvest time I will tell the reapers, "First, gather up the darnel, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn."'"Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. But when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches."Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. which is less indeed than all seeds, but when it is grown is greater than herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of heaven come and roost in its branches.
