| Mark 10:1 | He arose from there and came into the borders of Judea and beyond the Jordan. Multitudes came together to him again. As he usually did, he taught them again. | And he arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of Judaea by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again. | Soon on His feet once more, He enters the district of Judaea and crosses the Jordan: again the people flock to Him, and ere long, as was usual with Him, He was teaching them once more. |
| Mark 10:2 | There came to him Pharisees testing him, and asked him, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?" | And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him. | Presently a party of Pharisees come to Him with the question seeking to entrap Him, "May a man divorce his wife?" |
| Mark 10:3 | He answered, "What did Moses command you?" | And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you? | "What rule did Moses lay down for you?" He answered. |
