Mark 16:1When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, that they might come and anoint him.And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. When the Sabbath was over, Mary of Magdala, Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, in order to come and anoint His body.
Mark 16:2Very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. So, very soon after sunrise on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb;
Mark 16:3They were saying among themselves, "Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?"And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? and they were saying to one another, `Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?"
Mark 16:4for it was very big. Looking up, they saw that the stone was rolled backAnd when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. But then, looking up, they saw that the stone was already rolled back: for it was of immense size.
Mark 16:5Entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were amazed. And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. Upon entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting at their right hand, clothed in a long white robe. They were astonished and terrified.
Mark 16:6He said to them, "Don't be amazed. You seek Jesus, the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen. He is not here. Behold, the place where they laid him!And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. But he said to them, "Do not be terrified. It is Jesus you are looking for the Nazarene who has been crucified. He has come back to life: He is not here: this is the place where they laid Him.
Mark 16:7But go, tell his disciples and Peter, 'He goes before you into Galilee. There you will see him, as he said to you.'"But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you. But go and tell His disciples and Peter that He is going before you into Galilee: and that there you will see Him, as He told you."
Mark 16:8They went out, and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had come on them. They said nothing to anyone; for they were afraid. And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid. So they came out, and fled from the tomb, for they were greatly agitated and surprised; and they said not a word to any one, for they were afraid.
Mark 16:9Now when he had risen early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons. Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. [But He rose to life early on the first day of the week, and appeared first to Mary of Magdala from whom He had expelled seven demons.
Mark 16:10She went and told those who had been with him, as they mourned and wept. And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. She went and brought the tidings to those who had been with Him, as they were mourning and weeping.
Mark 16:11When they heard that he was alive, and had been seen by her, they disbelieved. And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not. But they, when they were told that He was alive and that she had seen Him, could not believe it.
Mark 16:12After these things he was revealed in another form to two of them, as they walked, on their way into the country. After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country. Afterwards He showed Himself in another form to two of them as they were walking, on their way into the country.
Mark 16:13They went away and told it to the rest. They didn't believe them, either. And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them. These, again, went and told the news to the rest; but not even them did they believe.
Mark 16:14Afterward he was revealed to the eleven themselves as they sat at the table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they didn't believe those who had seen him after he had risen.Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. Later still He showed Himself to the Eleven themselves whilst they were at table, and He upbraided them with their unbelief and obstinacy in not having believed those who had seen Him alive.
Mark 16:15He said to them, "Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Then He said to them, "Go the whole world over, and proclaim the Good News to all mankind.
Mark 16:16He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. He who believes and is baptized shall be saved, but he who disbelieves will be condemned.
Mark 16:17These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages; And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; And signs shall attend those who believe, even such as these. By making use of my name they shall expel demons. They shall speak new languages.
Mark 16:18they will take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will in no way hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. They shall take up venomous snakes, and if they drink any deadly poison it shall do them no harm whatever. They shall lay their hands on the sick, and the sick shall recover."
Mark 16:19So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. So the Lord Jesus after having thus spoken to them was taken up into Heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
Mark 16:20They went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs that followed. Amen. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. But they went out and made proclamation everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming their Message by the signs which accompanied it.]
