1st-Kings 7:1Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.But Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.Solomon was thirteen years building a house for himself till it was complete.
1st-Kings 7:2For he built the house of the forest of Lebanon; the length of it was one hundred cubits, and the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits, on four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams on the pillars.He built also the house of the forest of Lebanon; its length was a hundred cubits, and its breadth fifty cubits, and its hight thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars.And he made the house of the Woods of Lebanon, which was a hundred cubits long and fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high, resting on four lines of cedar-wood pillars with cedar-wood supports on the pillars.
1st-Kings 7:3It was covered with cedar above over the forty-five beams, that were on the pillars; fifteen in a row.And it was covered with cedar above upon the beams, that lay on forty-five pillars, fifteen in a row.And it was covered with cedar over the forty-five supports which were on the pillars, fifteen in a line.
1st-Kings 7:4There were beams in three rows, and window was over against window in three ranks.And there were windows in three rows, and light was against light in three ranks.There were three lines of window-frames, window facing window in every line.
1st-Kings 7:5All the doors and posts were made square with beams: and window was over against window in three ranks.And all the doors and posts were square, with the windows: and light was against light in three ranks.And all the doors and windows had square frames, with the windows facing one another in three lines.
1st-Kings 7:6He made the porch of pillars; the length of it was fifty cubits, and the breadth of it thirty cubits; and a porch before them; and pillars and a threshold before them.And he made a porch of pillars; its length was fifty cubits, and its breadth thirty cubits: and the porch was before them: and the other pillars and the thick beams were before them.And he made a covered room of pillars, fifty cubits long and thirty cubits wide, and ... with steps before it.
1st-Kings 7:7He made the porch of the throne where he was to judge, even the porch of judgment: and it was covered with cedar from floor to floor.Then he made a porch for the throne where he might judge, even the porch of judgment: and it was covered with cedar from one side of the floor to the other.Then he made a covered room for his high seat when he gave decisions; this was the covered room of judging; it was covered with cedar-wood from floor to roof.
1st-Kings 7:8His house where he was to dwell, the other court within the porch, was of the like work. He made also a house for Pharaoh's daughter (whom Solomon had taken as wife), like this porch.And his house where he dwelt had another court within the porch, which was of the like work. Solomon made also a house for Pharaoh's daughter, whom he had married, like to this porch.And the house for his living-place, the other open square in the covered room, was made in the same way. And then he made a house like it for Pharaoh's daughter, whom Solomon had taken as his wife.
1st-Kings 7:9All these were of costly stones, even of hewn stone, according to measure, sawed with saws, inside and outside, even from the foundation to the coping, and so on the outside to the great court.All these were of costly stones, according to the measures of hewn stones, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation to the coping, and so on the outside towards the great court.All these buildings were made, inside and out, from base to crowning stone, and outside to the great walled square, of highly priced stone, cut to different sizes with cutting-instruments.
1st-Kings 7:10The foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits.And the foundation was of costly stones, even great stones; stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits.And the base was of great masses of highly priced stone, some ten cubits and some eight cubits square.
1st-Kings 7:11Above were costly stones, even hewn stone, according to measure, and cedar-wood.And above were costly stones, after the measures of hewn stones, and cedars.Overhead were highly priced stones cut to measure, and cedar-wood.
1st-Kings 7:12The great court round about had three courses of hewn stone, and a course of cedar beams; like as the inner court of the house of Yahweh, and the porch of the house.And the great court around was with three rows of hewn stones, and a row of cedar beams, both for the inner court of the house of the LORD, and for the porch of the house.The great outer square all round was walled with three lines of squared stones and a line of cedar-wood boards, round about the open square inside the house of the Lord and the covered room of the king's house.
1st-Kings 7:13King Solomon sent and fetched Hiram out of Tyre.And king Solomon sent and brought Hiram out of Tyre.Then King Solomon sent and got Hiram from Tyre.
1st-Kings 7:14He was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in brass; and he was filled with wisdom and understanding and skill, to work all works in brass. He came to king Solomon, and performed all his work.He was a widow's son of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in brass: and he was filled with wisdom, and understanding, and ingenious to work all works in brass. And he came to king Solomon, and wrought all his work.He was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in brass; he was full of wisdom and knowledge and an expert worker in brass. He came to King Solomon and did all his work for him.
1st-Kings 7:15For he fashioned the two pillars of brass, eighteen cubits high apiece: and a line of twelve cubits compassed either of them about.For he cast two pillars of brass, each of eighteen cubits high: and a line of twelve cubits did encompass each of them.He it was who made the two brass pillars; the first pillar was eighteen cubits high, and a line of twelve cubits went round it; and the second was the same.
1st-Kings 7:16He made two capitals of molten brass, to set on the tops of the pillars: the height of the one capital was five cubits, and the height of the other capital was five cubits.And he made two capitals of molten brass, to set upon the tops of the pillars: the hight of the one capital was five cubits, and the hight of the other capital was five cubits:And he made the two crowns to be put on the tops of the pillars, of brass made soft in the fire; the crowns were five cubits high.
1st-Kings 7:17There were nets of checker-work, and wreaths of chain-work, for the capitals which were on the top of the pillars; seven for the one capital, and seven for the other capital.And nets of checker-work, and wreaths of chain-work, for the capitals which were upon the top of the pillars; seven for the one capital, and seven for the other capital.There were nets of open-work for the crowns on the tops of the pillars, a net of open-work for one and a net of open-work for the other.
1st-Kings 7:18So he made the pillars; and there were two rows round about on the one network, to cover the capitals that were on the top of the pillars: and so did he for the other capital.And he made the pillars, and two rows around upon the one net-work, to cover the capitals that were upon the top, with pomegranates: and so he did for the other capital.And he made ornaments of apples; and two lines of apples all round over the network, covering the crowns of the pillars, the two crowns in the same way.
1st-Kings 7:19The capitals that were on the top of the pillars in the porch were of lily-work, four cubits.And the capitals that were upon the top of the pillars were of lily-work in the porch, four cubits.The crowns on the tops of the pillars were ornamented with a design of flowers, and were four cubits across.
1st-Kings 7:20There were capitals above also on the two pillars, close by the belly which was beside the network: and the pomegranates were two hundred, in rows round about on the other capital.And the capitals upon the two pillars had pomegranates also above, over against the belly which was by the net-work: and the pomegranates were two hundred in rows around upon the other capital.And there were crowns on the two pillars near the round part by the network, and there were two hundred apples in lines round every crown.
1st-Kings 7:21He set up the pillars at the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called the name of it Jachin; and he set up the left pillar, and called the name of it Boaz.And he set up the pillars in the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called its name Jachin: and he set up the left pillar, and called its name Boaz.He put up the pillars at the doorway of the Temple, naming the one on the right Jachin, and that on the left Boaz.
1st-Kings 7:22On the top of the pillars was lily-work: so was the work of the pillars finished.And upon the top of the pillars was lily-work: so was the work of the pillars finished.The tops of the pillars had a design of flowers; and the work of making the pillars was complete.
1st-Kings 7:23He made the molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and the height of it was five cubits; and a line of thirty cubits compassed it round about.And he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: it was entirely round, and its hight was five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits encompassed it.And he made a great metal water-vessel ten cubits across from edge to edge, five cubits high and thirty cubits round.
1st-Kings 7:24Under the brim of it round about there were buds which did compass it, for ten cubits, compassing the sea round about: the buds were in two rows, cast when it was cast.And under the brim of it around there were knobs compassing it, ten in a cubit, compassing the sea around: the knobs were cast in two rows, when it was cast.And under the edge of it, circling it all round for ten cubits, were two lines of flower buds, made together with it from liquid metal.
1st-Kings 7:25It stood on twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east; and the sea was set on them above, and all their hinder parts were inward.It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking towards the north, and three looking towards the west, and three looking towards the south, and three looking towards the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward.It was supported on twelve oxen, with their back parts turned to the middle of it, three of them facing to the north, three to the west, three to the south, and three to the east; the vessel was resting on top of them.
1st-Kings 7:26It was a handbreadth thick: and the brim of it was worked like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily: it held two thousand baths.And it was a hand-breadth thick, and its brim was wrought like the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies: it contained two thousand baths.It was as thick as a man's open hand, and was curved like the edge of a cup, like the flower of a lily: it would take two thousand baths.
1st-Kings 7:27He made the ten bases of brass; four cubits was the length of one base, and four cubits the breadth of it, and three cubits the height of it.And he made ten bases of brass; four cubits was the length of one base, and four cubits the breadth of it, and three cubits the hight of it.And he made ten wheeled bases of brass; every one four cubits long, four cubits wide, and three cubits high.
1st-Kings 7:28The work of the bases was on this manner: they had panels; and there were panels between the ledges;And the work of the bases was in this manner: They had borders, and the borders were between the ledges:And the bases were made in this way; their sides were square, fixed in a framework;
1st-Kings 7:29and on the panels that were between the ledges were lions, oxen, and cherubim; and on the ledges there was a pedestal above; and beneath the lions and oxen were wreaths of hanging work.And on the borders that were between the ledges were lions, oxen, and cherubim: and upon the ledges there was a base above: and beneath the lions and oxen were certain additions made of thin work.And on the square sides between the frames were lions, oxen, and winged ones; and the same on the frame; and over and under the lions and the oxen and the winged ones were steps.
1st-Kings 7:30Every base had four brazen wheels, and axles of brass; and the four feet of it had supports: beneath the basin were the supports molten, with wreaths at the side of each.And every base had four brazen wheels, and plates of brass: and the four corners of it had undersetters: under the laver were undersetters molten, at the side of every addition.Every base had four wheels of brass, turning on brass rods, and their four angles had angle-plates under them; the angle-plates under the base were of metal, and there were ornaments at the side of every one.
1st-Kings 7:31The mouth of it within the capital and above was a cubit: and the mouth of it was round after the work of a pedestal, a cubit and a half; and also on the mouth of it were engravings, and their panels were foursquare, not round.And the mouth of it within the capital and above was a cubit: but the mouth of it was round after the work of the base, a cubit and a half: and also upon the mouth of it were gravings with their borders, foursquare, not round.The mouth of it inside the angle-plate was one cubit across; it was round like a pillar, a cubit and a half across; it had designs cut on it; the sides were square, not round.
1st-Kings 7:32The four wheels were underneath the panels; and the axles of the wheels were in the base: and the height of a wheel was a cubit and half a cubit.And under the borders were four wheels; and the axletrees of the wheels were joined to the base: and the hight of a wheel was a cubit and half a cubit.The four wheels were under the frames, and the rods on which the wheels were fixed were in the base; the wheels were a cubit and a half high.
1st-Kings 7:33The work of the wheels was like the work of a chariot wheel: their axles, and their rims, and their spokes, and their naves, were all molten.And the work of the wheels was like the work of a chariot wheel: their axletrees, and their naves, and their fellies, and their spokes, were all molten.The wheels were made like carriage-wheels, the rods on which they were fixed, the parts forming their edges, their rods and the middle points of them, were all formed out of liquid metal.
1st-Kings 7:34There were four supports at the four corners of each base: the supports of it were of the base itself.And there were four undersetters to the four corners of one base: and the undersetters were of the very base itself.And there were four angle-plates at the four angles of every base, forming part of the structure of the base.
1st-Kings 7:35In the top of the base was there a round compass half a cubit high; and on the top of the base the stays of it and the panels of it were of the same.And in the top of the base was there a round compass of half a cubit high: and on the top of the base its ledges and its borders were of the same.And at the top of the base there was a round vessel, half a cubit high;
1st-Kings 7:36On the plates of the stays of it, and on the panels of it, he engraved cherubim, lions, and palm-trees, according to the space of each, with wreaths round about.For on the plates of its ledges, and on its borders, he graved cherubim, lions, and palm trees, according to the proportion of every one, and additions around.In the spaces of the flat sides and on the frames of them, he made designs of winged ones, lions, and palm-trees, with ornamented edges all round.
1st-Kings 7:37After this manner he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, and one form.After this manner he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, and one size.All the ten bases were made in this way, after the same design, of the same size and form.
1st-Kings 7:38He made ten basins of brass: one basin contained forty baths; and every basin was four cubits; and on very one of the ten bases one basin.Then he made ten lavers of brass: one laver contained forty baths: and every laver was four cubits: and upon every one of the ten bases one laver.And he made ten brass washing-vessels, everyone taking forty baths, and measuring four cubits; one vessel was placed on every one of the ten bases.
1st-Kings 7:39He set the bases, five on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward, toward the south.And he put five bases on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward over against the south.And he put the bases by the house, five on the right side and five on the left; and he put the great water-vessel on the right side of the house, to the east, facing south.
1st-Kings 7:40Hiram made the basins, and the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he worked for king Solomon in the house of Yahweh:And Hiram made the lavers, and the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he executed for king Solomon for the house of the LORD:And Hiram made the pots and spades and the basins. So Hiram came to the end of all the work he did for King Solomon in the house of the Lord:
1st-Kings 7:41the two pillars, and the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars; and the two networks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars;The two pillars, and the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the two pillars; and the two net-works, to cover the two bowls of the capitals which were upon the top of the pillars;The two pillars and the two cups of the crowns which were on the tops of the two pillars; and the network covering the two cups of the crowns on the tops of the pillars,
1st-Kings 7:42and the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks; two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the pillars;And four hundred pomegranates for the two net-works, even two rows of pomegranates for one net-work, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were upon the pillars;And the four hundred apples for the network, two lines of apples for every network, covering the two cups of the crowns on the pillars;
1st-Kings 7:43and the ten bases, and the ten basins on the bases;And the ten bases, and ten lavers on the bases;And the ten bases, with the ten washing-vessels on them;
1st-Kings 7:44and the one sea, and the twelve oxen under the sea;And one sea, and twelve oxen under the sea;And the great water-vessel, with the twelve oxen under it;
1st-Kings 7:45and the pots, and the shovels, and the basins: even all these vessels, which Hiram made for king Solomon, in the house of Yahweh, were of burnished brass.And the pots, and the shovels, and the basins: and all these vessels which Hiram made to king Solomon for the house of the LORD, were of bright brass.And the pots and the spades and the basins; all the vessels which Hiram made for King Solomon, for the house of the Lord, were of polished brass.
1st-Kings 7:46In the plain of the Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarethan.In the plain of Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarthan.He made them of liquid metal in the lowland of Jordan, at the way across the river, at Adama, between Succoth and Zarethan.
1st-Kings 7:47Solomon left all the vessels [unweighed], because they were exceeding many: the weight of the brass could not be found out.And Solomon left all the vessels unweighed, because they were very numerous: neither was the weight of the brass ascertained.The weight of all these vessels was not measured, because there was such a number of them; it was not possible to get the weight of the brass.
1st-Kings 7:48Solomon made all the vessels that were in the house of Yahweh: the golden altar, and the table whereupon the show bread was, of gold;And Solomon made all the vessels that pertained to the house of the LORD: the altar of gold, and the table of gold, upon which was the show-bread,And Solomon had all the vessels made for use in the house of the Lord: the altar of gold and the gold table on which the holy bread was placed;
1st-Kings 7:49and the lampstands, five on the right side, and five on the left, before the oracle, of pure gold; and the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, of gold;And the candlesticks of pure gold, five on the right side, and five on the left, before the oracle, with the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs of gold,And the supports for the lights, five on the right side and five on the left before the inmost room, of clear gold; and the flowers and the lights and all the instruments of gold;
1st-Kings 7:50and the cups, and the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the fire pans, of pure gold; and the hinges, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, [to wit], of the temple, of gold.And the bowls, and the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the censers of pure gold; and the hinges of gold, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, to wit, of the temple.And the cups and the scissors and the basins and the spoons and the fire-trays, all of gold; and the pins on which the doors were turned, the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and the doors of the Temple, all of gold.
1st-Kings 7:51Thus all the work that king Solomon worked in the house of Yahweh was finished. Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated, [even] the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, and put them in the treasuries of the house of Yahweh.So was ended all the work that king Solomon made for the house of the LORD. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated; even the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, he placed among the treasures of the house of the LORD.So all the work King Solomon had done in the house of the Lord was complete. Then Solomon took the holy things which David his father had given, the silver and the gold and all the vessels, and put them in the store-houses of the house of the Lord.
