Hosea 14:1 | Israel, return to Yahweh your God; for you have fallen by your iniquity. | O Israel, return to the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thy iniquity. | Let Samaria perish, because she hath stirred up her God to bitterness: let them perish by the sword, let their little ones be dashed, and let the women with child be ripped up. |
Hosea 14:2 | Take with you words, and return to Yahweh: tell him, Take away all iniquity, and accept that which is good: so will we render [as] bulls [the offering of] our lips. | Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say to him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips. | Return, O Israel, to the Lord thy God: for thou hast fallen down by thy iniquity. |
Hosea 14:3 | Assyria shall not save us; we will not ride on horses; neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, [You are] our gods; for in you the fatherless finds mercy. | Ashur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy. | Take with you words, and return to the Lord, and say to him: Take away all iniquity, and receive the good: and we will render the calves of our lips. |
Hosea 14:4 | I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely; for my anger is turned away from him. | I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for my anger is turned away from him. | Assyria shall not save us, we will not ride upon horses, neither will we say any more: The works of our hands are our gods, for thou wilt have mercy on the fatherless that is in thee. |
Hosea 14:5 | I will be as the dew to Israel; he shall blossom as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon. | I will be as the dew to Israel: he shall grow as the lily and cast forth his roots as Lebanon. | I will heal their breaches, I will love them freely: for my wrath is turned away from them. |
Hosea 14:6 | His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive-tree, and his smell as Lebanon. | His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive-tree, and his smell as Lebanon. | I will be as the dew, Israel shall spring as the lily, and his root shall shoot forth as that of Libanus. |
Hosea 14:7 | Those who dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive [as] the grain, and blossom as the vine: the scent of it shall be as the wine of Lebanon. | They that dwell under his shade shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent of it shall be as the wine of Lebanon. | His branches shall spread, and his glory shall be as the olive tree: and his smell as that of Libanus. |
Hosea 14:8 | Ephraim [shall say], What have I to do any more with idols? I have answered, and will regard him: I am like a green fir-tree; from me is your fruit found. | Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir-tree. From me is thy fruit found. | They shall be converted that sit under his shadow: they shall live upon wheat, and they shall blossom as a vine: his memorial shall be as the wine of Libanus. |
Hosea 14:9 | Who is wise, that he may understand these things? prudent, that he may know them? for the ways of Yahweh are right, and the just shall walk in them; but transgressors shall fall therein. | Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall in them. | Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I will hear him, and I will make him flourish like a green fir tree: from me is thy fruit found. |
