John 21:1After these things, Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias. He revealed himself this way. After these things Jesus showed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias: and in this manner did he show himself. After this, Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias. And he shewed himself after this manner.
John 21:2Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together. There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples. There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas, who is called Didymus, and Nathanael, who was of Cana of Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples.
John 21:3Simon Peter said to them, "I'm going fishing." They told him, "We are also coming with you." They immediately went forth, and entered into the boat. That night, they caught nothing.Simon Peter saith to them, I go a fishing. They say to him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a boat immediately; and that night they caught nothing.Simon Peter saith to them: I go a fishing. They say to him: We also come with thee. And they went forth, and entered into the ship: and that night they caught nothing.
John 21:4But when day was now breaking, Jesus stood on the beach, yet the disciples didn't know that it was Jesus. But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. But when the morning was come, Jesus stood on the shore: yet the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.
John 21:5Jesus therefore said to them, "Children, have you anything to eat?" They answered him, "No."Then Jesus saith to them, Children, have ye any victuals? They answered him, No.Jesus therefore said to them: Children, have you any meat? They answered him: No.
John 21:6He said to them, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some." They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it in for the multitude of fish. And he said to them, Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. He saith to them: Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and you shall find. They cast therefore; and now they were not able to draw it, for the multitude of fishes.
John 21:7That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It's the Lord!" So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he wrapped his coat around him (for he was naked), and threw himself into the sea. Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith to Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt on his fisher's coat, (for he was naked) and cast himself into the sea. That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved, said to Peter: It is the Lord. Simon Peter, when he heard that it was the Lord, girt his coat about him, (for he was naked,) and cast himself into the sea.
John 21:8But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from the land, but about two hundred cubits away), dragging the net full of fish. And the other disciples came in a little boat (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits) dragging the net with fishes. But the other disciples came in the ship, (for they were not far from the land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.
John 21:9So when they got out on the land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread. As soon then as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid upon them, and bread. As soon then as they came to land, they saw hot coals lying, and a fish laid thereon, and bread.
John 21:10Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish which you have just caught."Jesus saith to them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.Jesus saith to them: Bring hither of the fishes which you have now caught.
John 21:11Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land, full of great fish, one hundred fifty-three; and even though there were so many, the net wasn't torn.Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, a hundred and fifty and three: and notwithstanding there were so many, yet the net was not broken.Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land, full of great fishes, one hundred and fifty-three. And although there were so many, the net was not broken.
John 21:12Jesus said to them, "Come and eat breakfast." None of the disciples dared inquire of him, "Who are you?" knowing that it was the Lord.Jesus saith to them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.Jesus saith to them: Come, and dine. And none of them who were at meat, durst ask him: Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
John 21:13Then Jesus came and took the bread, gave it to them, and the fish likewise.Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise. And Jesus cometh and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish in like manner.
John 21:14This is now the third time that Jesus was revealed to his disciples, after he had risen from the dead. This is now the third time that Jesus showed himself to his disciples, after he had risen from the dead. This is now the third time that Jesus was manifested to his disciples, after he was risen from the dead.
John 21:15So when they had eaten their breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs."So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith to him, Yes, Lord: thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him, Feed my lambs. When therefore they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter: Simon son of John, lovest thou me more than these? He saith to him: Yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him: Feed my lambs.
John 21:16He said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you." He said to him, "Tend my sheep."He saith to him again the second time, Simon son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith to him, Yes, Lord: thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him, Feed my sheep. He saith to him again: Simon, son of John, lovest thou me? He saith to him: Yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him: Feed my lambs.
John 21:17He says to him the third time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you have affection for me?" Peter was grieved because he asked him the third time, "Do you have affection for me?" He said to him, "Lord, you know everything. You know that I have affection for you." Jesus said to him, "Feed my sheep. He saith to him the third time, Simon son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved, because he said to him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said to him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith to him, Feed my sheep. He said to him the third time: Simon, son of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved, because he had said to him the third time: Lovest thou me? And he said to him: Lord, thou knowest all things: thou knowest that I love thee. He said to him: Feed my sheep.
John 21:18Most assuredly I tell you, when you were young, you dressed yourself, and walked where you wanted to. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you, and carry you where you don't want to go."Verily, verily, I say to thee, When thou wast young, thou didst gird thyself and walk whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldst not.Amen, amen I say to thee, when thou wast younger, thou didst gird thyself, and didst walk where thou wouldst. But when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and lead thee whither thou wouldst not.
John 21:19Now he said this, signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. When he had said this, he said to him, "Follow me."This he spoke, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith to him, Follow me.And this he said, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had said this, he saith to him: Follow me.
John 21:20Then Peter, turning around, saw a disciple following. This was the disciple whom Jesus sincerely loved, the one who had also leaned on Jesus' breast at the supper and asked, "Lord, who is going to betray You?"Then Peter turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved, following; (who also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, who is he that betrayeth thee?)Peter turning about, saw that disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also leaned on his breast at supper, and said: Lord, who is he that shall betray thee?
John 21:21Peter seeing him, said to Jesus, "Lord, and what will this man do?"Peter seeing him, saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?Him therefore when Peter had seen, he saith to Jesus: Lord, and what shall this man do?
John 21:22Jesus said to him, "If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you? You follow me."Jesus saith to him, If I will that he shall tarry till I come, what is that to thee? Follow thou me.Jesus saith to him: So I will have him to remain till I come, what is it to thee? follow thou me.
John 21:23This saying therefore went forth among the brothers, that that disciple wouldn't die. Yet Jesus didn't say to him that he wouldn't die, but, "If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you?"Then this saying went abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not to him, He shall not die; but, if I will that he shall tarry till I come, what is that to thee? This saying therefore went abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die. And Jesus did not say to him: He should not die; but, So I will have him to remain till I come, what is it to thee?
John 21:24This is the disciple who testifies about these things, and wrote these things. We know that his witness is true. This is the disciple who testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true. This is that disciple who giveth testimony of these things, and hath written these things; and we know that his testimony is true.
John 21:25There are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they would all be written, I suppose that even the world itself wouldn't contain the books that would be written. And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen. But there are also many other things which Jesus did; which, if they were written every one, the world itself, I think, would not be able to contain the books that should be written.
